“We could not have asked more from Sloane. She was great throughout the whole process! I really enjoyed how thoughtful, caring, and attentive she was with our kittens. She also kept us updated sporadically during the days we were gone. Thank you for taking such good care of our cats!”

About: Energetic, motivated, hardworking graduate student seeking pet-sitting work. I take 1+ hour walks throughout the city on a daily basis, and would love to include a dog! I have 13 years of pet care experience from my dog (yellow Labrador retriever) who recently passed at 13. I have a flexible schedule as the majority of my work is online/ self-paced! I am currently a graduate student. My schedule is very flexible and self-paced (with the exception of Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, where I am only available in the evenings.) Weekends, Tuesdays, and Fridays I am very available and would love to include a dog on my daily walks! In a clients home, I feel confident using any care resources available for the pet. Whether that is crating, bedding, edible treats/reinforcements, fenced yards, etc.
About: I’ve taken care of many dogs, both my own and friends when needed. I love taking dogs for walks and would give them love and care when you need. I have morning classes and evening classes, so I will be able to help out mid day and nights most likely! Weekends I am completely available as of now. I currently don’t have any pets in my place of residence but if asked to help out I would most likely walk your dog or watch them at your house as my living situation is not best suited for dogs right now.

About: I’ve taken care of multiple types of pets through sitting and working at a petting zoo. I am an animal lover myself who is excited to interact with your pet and give them the love and care they need! I am able to spend time with your pet while being respectful of your space, knowing that animals thrive in an environment they are used to.
About: I’ve grown up with pets my whole life and truly love working with animals. I have hands-on experience walking dogs at animal shelters and providing overnight dog sitting in clients’ homes. I have all the time for pet sitting while searching for a full time job. -Water/Food Refill -Personal attention and play time -Walks (on-leash) -Yard time (fenced in areas) -Overnight stays in clients homes (my apartment is not pet friendly)
“Olivia is always such an amazing dog sitter! She communicates well and follows all instructions to a tee. She also goes above and beyond and will tidy up or even do a loaf of dishes for you without being asked. I highly recommend using her for all your doggy care needs!”

“Absolutely wonderful sitter! Abigail has gone above and beyond to make sure our cat has been well cared for during the Christmas break! She gives updates at every visit and was very flexible with us for making sure she got all her medications and such on time. Would highly recommend!”

About: I’ve been taking care of my own pets and others’ since I was about 8 years old. Friends and family have always trusted me with their pet-sitting needs, and I genuinely love being able to help out. I grew up with both cats and dogs (and a few other animals along the way!), and spent a lot of time training and doing agility work with my family’s Border Collie. I have experience with pets of all ages, from puppies to senior pets, as well as all sizes and temperaments. I’m also comfortable administering medications to your pets, and have had experience doing this with both cats and dogs. I did a lot of dog walking this summer during the weekdays (and loved it!) , but I’m starting a new position in July so my availability is going to shift to weekends only. My cats are indoor cats and have plenty of access to toys, climbing trees/stimulation, food and water, and their litter box! I would ensure that your pets are extremely well cared for according to your instructions.
“Rachael was an incredible drop-in sitter for our cat, Sylvie, while we were away for an entire week. Our cat was very happy when we returned home, clearly from all the play-time, brushing, and cuddles she had been receiving. Rachael sent daily updates and photos, and she went out of her way to check in about things we had not discussed. We're excited to re-book Rachael in the future, and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone to love their pet!”

About: Recently petless pet person looking to spend some time loving on your pet! I’ve used pet sitting services in the past and know how difficult building trust is. Home with two pet lovers, one who works from home during the day. Experienced with young animals and with elder care, giving medicine (pills and shots), and all kinds of pet personalities. Looking forward to meeting the furriest members of your family. I’m available during the evenings and for walks and drop ins in the morning and mid day. Options to watch during the day if requested and on Fridays. We live in an apartment with plenty of room for pet beds and toys. We live close to many green space areas for dogs to run around!

About: I’ve been a dog lover my whole life, growing up with all kinds of dogs, from bulldogs to german shepherds. I’m good with high and low energy dogs of all sizes, supplying pets, walks, and treats to make your pups forget how much they miss you! I’m especially experienced with senior dogs and the extra care they require, especially those with limited mobility. Because I work from home your pups will rarely be alone, which helps me stay on top of potty breaks, playtime, and any other needs your pets have! Because I work from home, I am able to take close care of your furry friends. I do like to go to the gym in the morning for about an hour, but am usually in one spot for the rest of the day so your pets won’t be alone and can have all their needs met. I’m happy to take breaks to walk/play. I am very respectful and comfortable in new environments and am happy to work with you and your pet’s needs. I’ve mostly pet-sat in other peoples homes in my hometown, so I am very used to following the guidelines you are comfortable with. I am easily reachable and responsive, and like to send check in photos at your convenience!
“Brittany was so wonderful to work with! She took care of my cat for a weekend and sent a thoughtful update after each visit. I'm so grateful and would definitely choose her again!”

About: I’ve had dogs in my own home/in my life for as long as I can remember! From walking to feeding to bathing, I’ve done it all. I’m currently a graduate student at Tufts University so am usually free most days for walks and/or drop-in visits! My schedule is very flexible, so even if Rover states I’m unavailable please don’t hesitate to reach out :) I have a fur baby of my own and have had dogs in my life since I was a child. My pup and I love to go on walks and I’m in charge of bathing him once a month as well. He’s also a pug, so I’m no stranger to having to clean a pup’s face and ears daily.

Emily was amazing! She took such great care of my puppy, especially while he was recovering from being neutered, and even made a point to give my cat some love during her visits. My puppy can be a little wary of new people, but he and Emily hit it off quickly, and he always looked so happy in the photos she sent. She is incredibly friendly, reliable, and clearly wonderful with animals. I would absolutely recommend her!

I’m very thankful that I found Szu. She helped to feed my dogs when I really needed as I was away. She answers my questions and followed my instructions. She offered to do more than I asked for. I highly recommend her services and I’ll book her services again.

Alexandra filled in for us super last-minute due to a cancellation, and not only read through the list of what to expect with our dog / what we needed for a visit, but was patient with our dog meeting a new person, took extra photos, wrote up a through ‘report’ after the walk + visit, and was extremely responsive via messaging. Couldn’t ask for more!

Jasmine filled in last minute for me to come let my pups out while I was away in Rhode Island for a wedding. She was super communicative, very punctual and incredible communicator while she was with the pups midday. I appreciate her sending a thorough update and taking them out multiple times to go to the bathroom. I would love to have Jasmine back.

We were visiting Boston to see friends in from out of town for the wknd and going to be away from our hotel during the day. Rita took such good care of our golden both days. It gave us peace of mind to see photos of our baby smiling on her outings with Rita and that she was having some fun while we were away. Rita fed her dinner and played with her in the room too. We will definitely reach out to Rita for help again!

I am so happy I chose Tess to take care of my Fenway! I went on a trip out of country and last minute had to find someone to watch my miniature dachshund. For the past four years, I have only had family or close friends watch him, based on his behavioral issues. He has fear reactivity to strangers, children, and other dogs. It’s hard to find someone who is willing to take the time to learn his quirks and get on his good side, while keeping him safe. Tess did just that and more, which I am so grateful for! Tess gave me in depth updates on how their time together went and took the cutest photos of my fenway! I couldn’t recommend her more and will be booking with her again 1000%!!!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Boston with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
