“Haowen is THE BEST - really happy he agreed to take care of Annie. He was sensitive, communicative and knew how to take great care of our dog and get her to warm up. Cannot recommend him more.”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my deep compassion, patience, and experience with dogs who need extra attention—especially those with anxiety or special routines. I have hands-on experience caring for senior dogs, puppies, and pets who struggle with separation anxiety. My own dog, Sasha, has anxiety, so I understand the importance of gentle care, consistency, and emotional support. I treat every pet like family, and I’m committed to creating a calm, safe, and loving environment while you’re away. Whether your pup needs long walks, slow introductions, or just a cozy lap to nap on—I’ve got you covered! Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine. I have Mondays and Tuesdays off, which gives me plenty of time for daytime walks and drop-ins. On other days, I’m able to fit in visits between school and work—and I don’t mind doing late-night drop-ins if your pet needs evening attention. Caring for animals is something I truly enjoy, so I’m happy to make it a priority in my schedule. I’m dependable, flexible, and always focused on making pets feel safe and loved while you’re away. I only offer pet care in the client’s home because I believe pets are happiest and most comfortable in their own familiar environment. I follow your pet’s routine closely—whether that’s feeding, walks, playtime, or administering medication. I respect your space, keep things tidy, and make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away. My goal is always to provide reliable, stress-free care that gives both you and your pet peace of mind.
About: Over the past year and a half, I’ve had the joy of caring for a wide variety of dogs in my hometown—what began as a one-time house and dog sitting job quickly turned into a steady stream of referrals through word of mouth. I’ve provided in-home care for dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments—from energetic puppies to seniors needing a gentler pace and extra attention. What sets me apart is the personal touch I bring to every job. I understand how important it is to feel confident leaving your pet in someone else’s care, so I treat every home and pet as if they were my own—with responsibility, respect, and a lot of love. I’ve managed multi-dog households, followed detailed medication schedules, and am comfortable adapting to each dog’s unique routine and needs. Whether your pup needs long walks, belly rubs, or quiet companionship, I’m here to make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away. My schedule varies every week, but I do work a 9-5 corporate job Monday through Friday. My schedule is very flexible and love taking walking breaks throughout my day—it's the perfect way to recharge while spending time with your pup! I work a hybrid job and only go into the office twice a week, with the ability to adjust those days to best fit your pet’s needs. Whether it's a midday walk or some extra attention during the week, I'm happy to work around your schedule to make sure your dog is happy and cared for. I specialize in drop-in visits and dog walks, and I make it a priority to treat every pet like they’re my own. Whether it's a quick potty break, playtime, feeding, or a nice long walk, I aim to keep your pet comfortable, happy, and well-cared-for while you're away. I'm attentive to each pet’s unique needs and routines, and I always make sure they feel safe and relaxed in their environment. While I primarily focus on drop-ins and walking services, I’m also open to boarding—either in my pet-friendly apartment or at your home—depending on what works best for you and your pet.
“Excellent care for my cat including lots of play time and cuddles. Jennifer followed all care instructions closely and sent lots of pictures which I love!! Highly recommend.”

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life and truly understand how important it is to provide attentive, compassionate care. I’m committed to making every pet feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. I also have experience caring for multiple pets at once, as I currently have two cats, so I’m comfortable managing different personalities, routines, and needs at the same time. I currently care for one of my pets who has asthma, which has given me hands-on experience administering medication multiple times a day and closely monitoring health needs. This experience has made me especially attentive to changes in behavior and routine, and comfortable supporting pets with ongoing medical needs. I also adopted a cat who came from a very difficult past and was initially fearful and withdrawn. Through patience, consistency, and a lot of love, I’ve helped him build trust and grow into a more confident, comfortable companion. That experience deepened my understanding of how to work with anxious or sensitive animals at their own pace. Through all of this, I’ve developed a strong understanding of animal behavior along with gentle, effective training techniques, allowing me to provide care that’s both nurturing and responsive to each pet’s unique personality. It is an every day piece of my routine as a primary carer for two pets of my own. I will give your loved ones the same level of care and attention that I am able to give to mine! I have indoor animals of my own, but am fully comfortable in a number of settings. Ive been surrounded by my own pets as well as those of friends and family. I know how much my boys mean to me and I will always approach care for your best friends the same way I would care for mine

“Lisa was great watching my skittish cat. She was patient and was able to gain her trust while we were gone for two weeks. Lisa is also very responsive and proactive as well.”

“Amanda took excellent care of our two cats! She communicated and provided updates. We had an issue with our key copy and she was very patient and flexible while we got it resolved. I really recommend Amanda!”

“Erin was a wonderful catsitter for our boy Merlot! She was kind, respectful, responsible, and communicative. We asked to receive picture updates and received daily photos of well-loved cat. I would recommend Erin without hesitation and will gladly ask her to watch Merlot again.”

“Cora took such great care of Newbury while I was away. I got pictures and updates after every one of their walks and Newbury had such a great time with her ?”

“Katherine took care of my two cats when I was out of town for a weekend. We had a meet and greet beforehand. She was very responsive and communicative about her visits. Even though I had no preference over timing, every morning she let me know what time she would stop by. After every visit she sent pictures and a written note of how the cats behaved and what food she gave them or what toys she had them play with. She was super patient with my shy kitten, who was getting over an upset tummy at the time. She gave him the probiotics as instructed and managed to get pictures even when he hid under the bed, and by day three he had warmed up to her! I definitely felt she took care of them as if they were her own cats, would book her again without a doubt.”

About: I’ve had dogs in my home for the past 21 years, namely an array of bully breeds both large and small. When I moved abroad in 2023, my English bulldog moved in with my family and I’ve been eager to welcome all of my friends’ dogs into my life and home ever since. I’m often dog-sitting for friends across New England and thought now is as good of a time as any to offer the same support to others! I’m a full-time remote employee with a spacious apartment that happens to have an enclosed deck and located across the street from a sprawling park with dedicated dog areas! I’m a typical millennial woman who is always willing to lend my time and space to some sweet pups. My apartment is dog friendly i.e., they’re welcome in all rooms, on the furniture, and to enjoy the fenced in deck on nice days. I love long walks and therefore long walk companions and maintain a quiet and calm home life.
About: I have been hired on many prior occasions by family, friends, and strangers in my community to take care of pets. I’ve taken care of others’ dogs and cats for many years. In addition to this, I have three dogs of my own at home in Phoenix - a very small dog, a mid-sized dog, and a large dog - and care for them well when I’m with them (long walks, lots of cuddles, two good meals a day, plenty of water). I take long walks here in Boston every day, and I’d love to take your furry friends with me! I can administer oral medication if need be, and I can give baths as well if needed! I’ve just recently relocated to Boston with my fiancée (who also has pet-sitting experience!). I do work part-time as a bartender, but I will be as flexible as possible to suit your needs and the needs of your pets! I would be happy to walk dogs either on a schedule or on an as-needed basis! I’d also be happy to set up a phone or video chat interview if you’d like to discuss specifics before taking me on for a job. Due to the terms of my rental, I cannot house your pets in my home, but I would happily stay with your pets at your house to make sure your animals and home are well looked-after while you are away! Looking forward to hearing from you! Have a lovely day. I am available in the mornings and afternoons for walks and drop-ins Monday-Friday, and I have flexible weekend availability! I am happy to work with you to be as flexible as I can depending on your schedule as well. I always follow your instructions for how to best care for your pets, as you know them better than I do! At the absolute basic level, I always provide their food and water, give them love and attention, play with them and give them necessary exercise, and administer any medication they have. All the rest is up to you - I am just happy to be around your animals, and I want to do my best to take care of them in a way that makes both them and you feel comfortable!
“Was able to come a check in on my baby last minute before the storm! I got stuck out of the country and was not going to be home when I thought and she made sure he was okay. Thank you so much. A life saver!”

“Cecilia was so accommodating to meet my cat beforehand and make sure she was comfortable with her. She was very communicative about behavior and eating habits during each check-in and adjusted to Nike’s needs throughout. Nike was very well cared for and I would recommend Cecilia to anyone needing a cat sitter!”

East Boston dog parents share their Rover experiences
Mariana was so wonderful! We had a last minute notice on a trip, and she was available and responded within minutes. Very communicative, lots of pictures and check ins sent. Our dog Rusty loved her! She made sure to ask any questions on any information that was left out as well. We definitely will be rebooking in the future!!

Arianna was amazing! Her responses were timely and professional. She kept me updated on when she was stopping by to take out my pug Winnie, and she sent photos of her on walks, eating, and playing. It was great to know she was in good hands! I would certainly rebook with her again!

Emily is absolutely AMAZING!!! She is incredibly thorough, caring, and she went above and beyond for my two “kids” while I was away. She was very knowledgeable and understanding of their different needs (one high energy, one older/calmer). The best feeling is knowing your pets are well cared for and comfortable, and Emily provides that & more! ☺️

Rita has been helping to care for our 3 month old puppy for the past few weeks and has been wonderful!! She is very thorough with the care she provides and with the updates she gives us during each visit, is very experienced and professional, and has even changed her schedule a few times to accommodate last minute needs! Would absolutely recommend her to anyone!

Just wanted to start off by saying WHAT. A. PHOTOGRAPHER! 👏🏼 Not only is she so great with caring for our young, energetic and chaotic pup but she also is so great at capturing some of his cutest moments when they spend time together! I feel like creating his own Instagram account and just let her manage it as an extra side gig! Honestly won’t regret investing in Courtney!
