About: I’ve had dogs in my home for the past 21 years, namely an array of bully breeds both large and small. When I moved abroad in 2023, my English bulldog moved in with my family and I’ve been eager to welcome all of my friends’ dogs into my life and home ever since. I’m often dog-sitting for friends across New England and thought now is as good of a time as any to offer the same support to others! I’m a full-time remote employee with a spacious apartment that happens to have an enclosed deck and located across the street from a sprawling park with dedicated dog areas! I’m a typical millennial woman who is always willing to lend my time and space to some sweet pups. My apartment is dog friendly i.e., they’re welcome in all rooms, on the furniture, and to enjoy the fenced in deck on nice days. I love long walks and therefore long walk companions and maintain a quiet and calm home life.
“Solaima was very accommodating for a last-minute drop in on our kitties! She gave extremely detailed updates & feedback and was very easy to work with. We strongly recommend her for your pets!”

“Erin did a phenomenal job watching my two cats while I was away. She was patient and understanding of their shyness. She was able to give my cat with asthma her inhaler, even though the cat is still learning. She was clear and communicative on updates and pictures. I have more travel coming up and am so grateful I have someone to trust with the kitties!”

“Tiffany & Steve are the best! So great with our cat’s needs and truly cat people who know and enjoy to play with her. They’re also easy to work with! I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a trusting and reliable sitter.”

“Marissa was very responsive and on top of all communications. She gave great updates! My cat tends to get shy around new people, but she really took a liking to Marissa! It was nice knowing my cat was in good hands while I was away.”

“Savannah is always great with Twix, very communicative, Provides updates regularly and pictures! Always Helps get twix's energy out - she is a life saver!”

“Having someone experienced with giving cats inhalers was the most important thing, and Liz handled it perfectly. This was by far the easiest time leaving the cats alone for me: I trusted Liz completely. Super caring and devoted to making sure our cats had the best time.”

“Had my first drop in with Emily and she was so reassuring! She sent me pictures and updates during the drop in and was very in tune with my dog’s temperament. She genuinely cares about you and your dog!! If you are looking for someone to trust your dog with, Emily is the person!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs in my home ever since I was a kid, caring for them at every stage of life. Our most recent family dog lived for 15 years, and I was actively involved in feeding, walking, bathing, and providing companionship. Over the years, friends, neighbors, and family have trusted me to look after their pets, ensuring they are happy, healthy, and well-cared for. I’m currently available full-time, so your pup will get plenty of attention, playtime, and care throughout the day. I offer flexible availability for boarding, walks, and check-ins, including weekdays and weekends. I have a fenced yard, providing a safe and secure space for dogs to play. Plus, I live near multiple dog parks that I can easily walk to for extra exercise and socialization. My home is pet-friendly, and I can accommodate crate-trained dogs if needed, ensuring a comfortable and stress-free environment for your pup.

“Svetlana took wonderful care of Cosmo, our cat, giving him all the love, cuddles, and attention he needed while we were away. He’s usually quite shy around new people, but he warmed up to her very quickly. We received consistent updates and photos the entire time, which gave us such peace of mind. We’re incredibly grateful and highly recommend her!”

“Emily has consistently been amazing! the most patient, calm, and thorough cat-sitter for my cat. She’s very communicative, and you can really tell her love for animals shines through. My cat loves to snuggle with her and play, and she sends lots of pictures/updates. Emily has also been super flexible and careful about taking good care of my space whenever she’s pet-sitting, which is something I really value. Highly recommend!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - East Boston
Sue was the best with my cat! This was my first time booking a pet sitter, but she took care of him exactly as I had specified, stayed over time a few visits, and was extremely gentle with my cat! It honestly felt like my cat liked him better than he likes me 😂 She was also able to add extra check ins mid-way through my booking and I really appreciated the flexibility. She shared so many photos and videos every time during her check ins which I really appreciated. My cat was very happy and healthy when we came back. I would highly recommend her!!

Madeline was wonderful with our senior cat, Milo, while we were away for the weekend. Milo is shy and a little bit deaf, so he can be hesitant to come out when unfamiliar people are around, but he warmed up to Madeline quickly. She went above and beyond simply feeding him and cleaning his box -- she stayed to pet, brush, and play with him too. Madeline was friendly, communicative, and very responsive throughout our time away. She documented every visit with pictures and detailed notes, which gave us great peace of mind. We would absolutely hire her again and highly recommend her!

I am so thrilled with my experience with Emily. This is only our second time using rover and we have a very energetic and unique 2year old dog so it can be nerve wracking, but she was understanding and amazing with him. She made note that he didn’t go to the bathroom on their walk so made sure to take him out again before she left which shows how much she cares. She also used some commands with him which is great for him to practice. She followed my directions on where and how to walk him and they played with his favorite toys. We got plenty of adorable photos of their time together. Will definitely be reaching out again for future drop ins. Thank you Emily!

Very thorough and followed our care instructions exactly! Haowen sent daily photos of our kitty, food, water, and the litter box. The added videos were awesome too! We enjoyed our vacation knowing that our cat was in great hands😸 We even had an issue with our AC leaking, and Haowen made sure to let us know immediately and help problem solve. Truly went above and beyond!☺️

We’ve had Amber take care of Cricket for awhile now and she’s always done a great job. Recently we left him in her care for a week while he happened to be recovering from a minor illness, and she kept us updated and took great care of him. She’s learned his quirks and we can tell by the pictures that he’s very comfortable with her!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
