About: Hi! I'm Kristen, a historical archaeology student at UMass Boston! Animals, history, and creative activities are my life. I have grown up with animals in my house my entire life- from rescue dogs, to cats, to hedgehogs, birds and rabbits, there are very few animals that I haven't gotten to play with. I would love to help you give your fur baby the best life possible by making sure they get the exercise they need, they get to socialize, and let them explore the environment around them. I have experience with dogs of all shapes and sizes- from Pugs to Newfoundlands, so I'm no stranger to large dogs and what they might need, and how that would differ from a smaller dog. I'd love to help you be the best owner you can be! I also have experience with multiple different livestock animals, from chicken and geese to donkeys. My goal is to own my own rescue farm one day, so special circumstance animals are something I am very comfortable doing. I prefer to spend time with your pets as much as possible, to help give them the socialization they need so they aren't left alone while they wait for their favorite people to come back :) I focus on making sure to keep into their set schedule as much as possible. Have a set time your fluffy friend needs to eat that never changes? Does your pet need to take multiple walks a day? My schedule is very flexible and it is my priority to keep their lives as unchanged as possible. I keep pets as normal in their routine as possible so they don't feel out of sorts until their people come home! I am more than comfortable dealing with crated, uncrated, specific behaviors of pets, and more. I make sure that their food and water intake is exactly how you specify, and that they get plenty of love and exercise.
“Nancy was great with my Setter Georgie! Many people say they'll treat your pup like he/she was theirs. Nancy truly does that! She is quick to respond, on time and my Setter loves his walks with her.”

“Catherine did a great job walking our dog on several occasions (even with short notice). She is trustworthy, good with communication, and thorough. Would love to use her services again!”

“Jose was very attentive and helpful taking our puppy for walks. He was very quick to respond and easy to work with. Looking forward to future walks when we need help!”

I can assist in puppy training and senior care with medication administration as well. I am currently a nurse and looking to help other pet families take care of their furry family members. I also offer adventures, such as hiking, beach walks, pool time some life jacket sizes avaliable, short walks, ramp for vehicle for our lovely large dogs and seniors. For our seniors I also have puzzle games that can help with low activity thresholds. For cats a safe low noise environment is available here, with plenty of cat toys to play with. I am also a volunteer as a dog walker at a local shelter as well. Overall I will care for your furry family member with the utmost affection and fun with safety being paramount. About: I’ve grown up around dogs and have always enjoyed being around them. While I’m new to professional pet sitting, I’ve cared for friends’ dogs and am confident with walks, feeding, playtime, and maintaining their usual routines. I also have extensive professional experience as a teacher of young children, which has developed my patience, responsibility, and ability to follow structured routines. I believe these are all caregiving skills that translate well to caring for pets, as well as having a professional attitude while doing it. I will care for your pet as I would any small being in my care and am happy to provide regular updates and photos for peace of mind! As for right now, I am between jobs and looking for extra cash, which gives me a very flexible schedule and allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to your pet. When caring for a pet in the clients home, I would treat their space with the same respect and care I would want someone to show my own home. I will follow any instructions you leave closely, and respect your space as I would want mine to be. I also understand that inviting a new person into your home can feel stressful! Not only because of your pet, but because of your personal space as well. I want you to feel completely comfortable while you’re away, and I will do everything I can to earn and maintain your trust through clear communication and respect!
About: Hi! I’m a warm, caring, professional dog walker looking to add some walks and boarding to my schedule. I absolutely love dogs, and will treat yours as if it were my own with all the love, care and attention they deserve! I am comfortable with puppies, seniors, and even have experience with more reactive pups. I can’t wait to meet you and your dog! I am a professional dog walker with a local company two days a week, but am looking to add more walks and visits to my schedule. When I’m not dog walking, I’m working on building a sustainable swimwear brand from home, so I have lots of flexibility to work around your schedule. I don’t have any pets of my own, so yours will be the center of attention! I live on the second floor of a two family condo building. I don’t have a fenced backyard, but I live right off the Neponset River Trail and there are lots of great walking route and trails in my neighborhood. If your pet is used to sleeping in your room with you at night, I am happy to have them in my room, and can accommodate crated or uncreated dogs. In general I try to keep your pet’s schedule as consistent as possible so they feel comfortable and at home.
About: I have loved animals since I was a young child. My family always had pets when I was growing up; ranging from parakeets and cockatiels, to betta fish, to dogs and cats. I currently have a great, fearless, and very treat-driven cat named Julio, whom I care for with my partner. I have a lot of experience caring for dogs and cats, including my mom's dog and cat when I visit during the holidays and whenever she has had to travel to visit family. I'm currently writing my PhD Dissertation so I oftentimes want to take a break and relax, which I can do by checking in on your pets. Other than feeding and playing with my cat, Julio, there are other times in the afternoon and evening when I can make sure to spend time feeding and taking care of your pets. I have a good understanding of both dog and cat body language and can give them their space, if needed. I am also able to follow instructions such as pet-specific diets, oral medication administration, etc.
“Sarah was awesome at accommodating a last min walk and was so sweet with my pup. She asked great questions and was nice enough to leave out fresh water for my dog when she left. We look forward to having Sarah help again soon!”

“Corrina and Tracy are very experienced and patient with my dog Appa. Appa is very skittish and doesn’t always warm up to people, but Corrina and Tracy gave him all the space and time he needed to feel comfortable. They were also mindful of their body language around Appa, such as moving slowly and avoiding eye contact. I really appreciate their professionalism!”

“Lauren has been an absolutely amazing dog walker for our 10 month old pup Leo. He is not the easiest on a leash but she is energetic and gives him the same love and attention that we would! We are so glad to have found Lauren - super reliable and communicates so well. Highly recommend!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Milton
Our 2 dogs were well taken care of by Jadeth and Noah while we were away. They came on time and sent us pictures with updates on our dogs. That gave us peace of mind as we tend to be worried of leaving them at home by themselves. We really appreciate their care and walks. Our dogs looked happy to see them. We will definitely reach out to them again next time.

Leander was very on time and communicative. We have a very high energy pup that can get overwhelmed on walks and he has been extremely patient with her! He has been very receptive and understanding of Mia’s needs and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to wear their pups out while they are at work!

Jasmine was great! She was very attentive to Theo and made sure to carry him up and down the stairs to avoid injury, gave him his food and washed his paws after the walk. I highly recommend Jasmine as a dogwalker! I will be requesting another dog walk from her soon.

Isis was exceptional! This was a great experience for my pups! She was very attentive to detail, gentle and very accommodating. My pups are usually pretty timid with new people, but they were instantly drawn to her. It says a lot about her as a person and pet carer. Thank you again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
