“Leonardo was excellent! He was super communicative and very sensitive to our pup who can be a bit nervous especially with fireworks. He left our house just as he found it. We would definitely recommend him and book again! Thank you.”

“Catherine was awesome - we had 3 pups under her watch and all were looked after great (walked, fed, and played with) and had a fun. They were tired when we got back, so we know they enjoyed it!”

“Katie was absolutely wonderful! She was very communicative and punctual, and we really appreciated the photo updates she sent of our dogs while we were away. It gave us such peace of mind knowing they were in great hands. She made the whole experience easy and stress-free, and we’ll definitely be using her again the next time we need someone to watch our dogs. Highly recommend!”

“Angie is the best ever!! Not only is she amazing with my puppy, but she also takes the best care of my space and I come home to a well taken care of pup and a spotless apartment! She also constantly keeps me updated throughout her stay which is amazing :)”

“Amy was great cat sitting for our precious kitty! She sent lots of cute updates, which we appreciated so much and did a wonderful job medicating Savannah for the first time. We came home to a happy cat and a clean home. We are looking forward to booking with Amy again for all our cat sitting needs!”

“Kristina went above and beyond taking care of my senior dog Jazzy. She sent lots of photos and updates everyday. When we met before booking, she took notes during our conversation, which demonstrated how she is a detail oriented person. I left her a 2-3 page document with instructions about Jazzy’s routine and my apartment. She followed the instructions very closely and everything went perfectly! It was a huge relief to know Jazzy was in the care of an amazing person while I was away. For anyone with senior dogs, you can be assured that Kristina will give your pup the care they need (but for dogs of all ages too)! ☺️🐾 I would certainly hook her again!”

“Couldn’t be happier with having Cynthia as my dog sitter. Went away for a week and had zero worries in the world! She went above and beyond for my 4 dogs and cat, including taking my cat outside in a backpack. I was sent pictures constantly, communication was always quick, and house was left clean when we got back. I have found my forever dog sitter! I’d rate her a 11/10 if I could”

“Claudia watched Nora for a weekend and made us feel completely comfortable! Nora is a puppy and needs a ton of attention. Claudia kept us up to date (tons of pics) and made us confident Nora was being well taken care of. We will definitely book again!”

“Karissa watched our dog, Chuck, while we were away over the weekend. She stayed in our home while we were away, and she took great care of our home and our boy. She sent us tons of photos and let us know how he was doing often. We love her so much that we have booked her for two more overnights this summer.”
“Danielle was great! She shared great updates and pics of kuzco while we were traveling and it was clear how much she cared about him being comfortable and having a good time with her!”

“Irie is phenomenal! It’s only our second time with house sitting and she just put us completely at ease from the get go. We always got regular updates and we really appreciated how she really seemed to bond with Gatsby. She left the absolute sweetest note too! We could not be happier with her incredible care of our pup and our home. Could not recommend more highly!”

“Lyv was wonderful with Willie Nelson! He warmed up to her right away and they had a calm, relaxed evening together. Lyv communicated clearly and kept me updated, which gave me peace of mind. I would definitely recommend her, and Willie is already looking forward to spending more time with her!”

“Belen is a phenomenal pet sitter! She watched Bocce for a week+ while I was visiting family in California. Because Bocce has epilepsy, finding the right care is crucial, and she handled his strict medication schedule flawlessly. Belen exceeded all expectations. She was diligent, communicative, and incredibly caring. I could actually enjoy my trip knowing Bocce was in safe hands. Thank you, Belen!”

Lyv completely saved me when another dogsitter cancelled. She clearly knows dogs and asked all the right questions, and my pup Summer immediately took to her. Lyv communicated really well, texting me beforehand to confirm when she would arrive, again when she arrived, sending photo updates, etc. throughout the whole week. I could even tell from the photos that Summer was really comfortable and not stressed at all, which was confirmed when I came home and she was 100% normal as if I'd never been gone. Would definitely book Lyv again!

Caitlin did a phenomenal job taking care of our girl! She provided consistent updates about how she was doing throughout her stay, made sure to take her out for walks, and followed her food schedule closely. I could tell that Chi Chi was very comfortable and happy with Caitlin here, and it's clear that Caitlin really loves dogs and enjoys taking care of them. She also kept the house nice and clean and was very responsible in maintaining both the house and Chi Chi. We would 110% recommend her to anyone and will absolutely use her again if she's available!

Our dog, Toby, LOVES when Bridget comes over to stay with him. They had a great long weekend and she made sure we had updates and pics along the way. She gave him watermelon snacks, walks around the neighborhood, and hung out with him in his favorite sun spot on our deck. We always trust her to care for our Toby. :)

Liz is the absolute best!! I know Greg is in great hands while we are away and never worry about him - I know he is being well taken care of. Liz is very communicative and sends beautiful pictures, videos and updates each day. Greg has so much fun with her!! We love Liz!!!
Mokeisha was an excellent sitter. She was incredibly responsive, and I felt completely confident that my dogs were in great hands while I was away. She checked in throughout the day with messages and photos, which I really appreciated. With freezing temperatures outside, she was especially attentive to making sure the dogs were safe and comfortable during outdoor time. They were clearly spoiled with attention, cuddles, and treats while in her care. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire Mokeisha again and absolutely plan to do so.

We just moved to the state and were leaving a well-trusted dog sitter of several years and were worried about finding someone new for our older, anxious husky. We found Lauren and she was excellent! She communicated and sent pictures and videos regularly, which was great as we were worried about our dogs first time being dogsat in our new apartment with a new person. Our husky really seemed to love spending time with her. I highly recommend Lauren!

Weixiu provided drop in service for our 2 pups while we were away on a short vacation. One of our dogs is shy and she quickly warmed up to Weixiu's kind, caring energy. Our dogs were walked, fed and cared for with lots of pictures and video updates via the app. When we returned home, our dogs were in a great mood (as opposed to shell shocked like when returning from a kennel). Our dogs look forward to seeing Weixiu again sometime in the future.

Casey was absolutely fantastic. She cared for my large older dog for over a week during the holidays. She sent me regular updates along with pictures. I came home to happy pup and a clean house. I would hire Casey again without hesitation. Highly recommend Casey - she is a true animal lover!!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Milton walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Milton maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Milton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
