“Catherine was awesome - we had 3 pups under her watch and all were looked after great (walked, fed, and played with) and had a fun. They were tired when we got back, so we know they enjoyed it!”

“Flex absolutely adored spending time with Deb. All the walks and sniffs and treats he could want and more. Deb took extremely good care of my boy- we will definitely use her again in the future!”

“Leonardo took wonderful care of our cat, Genie, while we were away on our five day honeymoon. He came by daily to feed her, clean her litter box, and spend time with her. We especially appreciated that he brushed her when he noticed her fur was getting a bit matted and made sure to give her plenty of pets and attention. He was very communicative throughout the entire stay, sending daily updates and pictures that really put us at ease and let us know Genie was in great hands. It made such a difference being able to relax on our trip knowing she was being so well cared for. We would absolutely recommend Leonardo to others and would happily book with him again in the future!”

“This was the first time we have ever left our 11 year old dog with a "new" person and we couldn't have had a better sitter than Isis. She sent us some great photos of Fergus and took him to all of his favorite spots. We could tell he was very comfortable with Isis at the meet and greet, and we knew he would be happy when we came home. Isis even noticed that Fergus had a skin issue that we forgot to tell her about. We highly recommend Isis as a pet sitter and will definitely hire her again!”

“Janiya watched our 2 dogs while we were away, completing feedings, walks, and overnight care. She reached out when she had questions and left a nice paper report card after finishing the stay.”

“Erika was an absolute gem! She was very communicative and sent plenty of updates. I felt beyond comfortable leaving my pup in Erika’s care. Hugo had so much fun with her and Charley!”

“Karissa is an extremely reliable experienced and caring pet sitter, will definitely use her services again. She took care of my 2 chihuahuas took tons of cute pics updating me daily and my dogs were very relaxed when I came back home indicating they had a great time. Excellent sitter!”

“Rev was the most responsive, caring and thoughtful caring person! She sent us many, many pictures with updates throughout the days we were away and went out of her way to coordinate with our families as I had undergone an emergency surgery and couldn’t make it back in time. Simply put, Rev is the bestest!!”

“Belen is a phenomenal pet sitter! She watched Bocce for a week+ while I was visiting family in California. Because Bocce has epilepsy, finding the right care is crucial, and she handled his strict medication schedule flawlessly. Belen exceeded all expectations. She was diligent, communicative, and incredibly caring. I could actually enjoy my trip knowing Bocce was in safe hands. Thank you, Belen!”

“Pam is absolutely fantastic. We have used her for years and she continues to care for Shaka with love. She is genuinely a kind and always dependable sitter. She is deeply appreciated my our family.”

“Salma stayed with our two pups over Christmas and did amazing. She left our house in perfect condition and the dogs were so happy and well cared for. I can't recommend her enough!”

“Nathalia was fantastic! On time, communicative, and thorough. She made sure our very anxious dog was at ease and happy the entire time which isn’t always an easy task! She is everything you would hope for in a sitter!”

About: I have been around dogs and other pets my whole life! I grew up with Rottweilers and my family currently has Bernese mountain dogs and boxers so I understand the energy that fuels these big babies. I have experience with cats along with other animals ranging from farm to reptile. I have changed dog diapers, administered medications, and have provided care from puppy to senior. My current life does not allow for a dog and I just have so much puppy love to give! I’m a teacher on summer break who also does not have much of a social life. I am very flexible currently and can fit with your schedule! I’m comfortable with what you are comfortable with! I have administered meds, changed dog diapers, and understand the importance of a watchful eye (my family dog will eat poop if she could).

About: I have dog-sat for different friends and family’s and am comfortable with dogs all sizes as I have had numerous pets over the years! I also have over 4 years of experience babysitting. I am currently in nursing school and work part time at a local hospital. I am a commuter so I have ample time to fit dog walking/sitting into my schedule! I have a spacious backyard and a dog friendly house. I have a small Westie who is 12 years old and very friendly with other dogs!
“Ashlee was fantastic! Two of our 3 critters are a little quirky and she did a great job with all of them. Our very nervous cat even made numerous appearances which doesn’t usually happen with sitters! She was super communicative, responsive, and helped our high anxiety pug feel at ease.”

“Gail was so amazing with Beau! We were able to book her last minute which was much appreciated. She gave us updates and pictures of Beau, even a doggy report card at the end! She is a true dog lover and great sitter”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Quincy
Alyssa was the best! We couldn’t be happier with our experience. Alyssa was responsive, reliable, and trustworthy. We always felt completely at ease knowing our dog Tony was in such good hands. We would highly recommend and we will definitely be reaching out for future dates :)

Cortney and Corey were amazing! I couldn’t have asked for better people to leave with our pets! They were so warm and attentive to their needs and made us feel very reassured that they were in good hands with daily updates and pictures. I would recommend them over and over again and I’m sure my dogs will be pleased to have them back to watch them in the future!

Janiya was so great with my senior cat! My cat gets medication 2x a day, and Janiya was great about giving it to her and providing me with regular updates and pictures. My cat can be slow to warm up to people, but she was sharing the bed with Janiya on the first night, which made me feel really great. I would and have already booked her for another in-home sitting.

Okay - how about something like this: We’ve had Gabriella stay at our place a couple times to take care of our dog, Holly, while we have been out of town. Gabriella has been wonderful each time and has such patience when dealing with a senior dog. She arrives on time and communicates throughout her stay with pictures and other updates. When we got home this past Sunday, Holly had a calmness that showed she had been well taken care of!

Communication is such a critical element of a successful “sitting” and Leo’s approach is a prime example of a five-star experience. Leo watched my “fur babies” overnight. There was never a time that I wondered how things were going, and if Leo had a question or observation to share, he was quick to reach out. I highly recommend Leo - in fact we have already booked him again!

Christine was amazing with our two dogs! They absolutely loved her. She walked them twice a day, gave them tons of love and attention and play, and was so communicative with us - sending us incredible pictures too! She even washed our sheets and towels she used, which was an added bonus we didn’t expect! Thank you so much Christine! We will be using you again!!

Weixiu provided drop in service for our 2 pups while we were away on a short vacation. One of our dogs is shy and she quickly warmed up to Weixiu's kind, caring energy. Our dogs were walked, fed and cared for with lots of pictures and video updates via the app. When we returned home, our dogs were in a great mood (as opposed to shell shocked like when returning from a kennel). Our dogs look forward to seeing Weixiu again sometime in the future.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of September 2026, there are 6,272 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Quincy. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Quincy walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Quincy maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Quincy choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
