I had explained the warning signs to look out for before I left, and the very first night I was gone she noticed he was trying to use the litter box but couldn’t. She contacted me immediately, made herself available for a phone call, and followed all of the care steps I walked her through. Thankfully, Bruce improved a lot after that, and I was so grateful she caught it so early. She also sent constant updates and photos throughout the trip, so I was never left wondering how my babies were doing. Catherine house sat for two nights as well, and when I came home my apartment was exactly as I left it. I felt like my cats and home were genuinely cared for while I was away. “I only wish I could give Allegra six stars! Our dog Minka has always had an issue with boarding. She does not like the kennel and she gets very anxious boarding there. I’ve tried to find someone to board her with, but many people will not take shepherds because of insurance issues. I found Allegra on Rover and was impressed with her reviews. Minka does not do well when she first meets a new person and when Allegra came for an initial interview, Minka was not as friendly as she typically is with family and friends. Allegra was not phased in the least and said she was happy to come back and that she preferred working with big dogs. When Allegra came back to babysit for our four day trip once again, Minka greeted her with barking and suspicion. Again, Allegra was not phased in the least and by the time we got home from our short trip, Minka had been sleeping on the bed with Allegra and didn’t want her to leave. I was beginning to think Minka liked Allegra more than me! Allegra also left the house spotless! Ashlee was fantastic! Two of our 3 critters are a little quirky and she did a great job with all of them. Our very nervous cat even made numerous appearances which doesn’t usually happen with sitters! She was super communicative, responsive, and helped our high anxiety pug feel at ease.
Fionn was very responsible, friendly and easy to work with. In addition to quickly understanding all involved with house and pet sitting, he asked additional questions that demonstrated just how much he cares about his role and the support he was going to provide us. He sent pictures and updates on all of the things that we had requested of him. My dog (Coa) took to him very quickly and was quite playful with him throughout the 2 weeks we were away. Fionn also took great care of our house, maintaining its neatness and leaving it as he found it. VERY grateful for the care he showed both to Coa and to our home. Coa loves Fionn. Alyssa was communicative and flexible when it came time to meet and take care of our dogs and cat while we took a short road trip. Okay - how about something like this: We’ve had Gabriella stay at our place a couple times to take care of our dog, Holly, while we have been out of town. Gabriella has been wonderful each time and has such patience when dealing with a senior dog. She arrives on time and communicates throughout her stay with pictures and other updates. When we got home this past Sunday, Holly had a calmness that showed she had been well taken care of!
Communication is such a critical element of a successful “sitting” and Leo’s approach is a prime example of a five-star experience. Leo watched my “fur babies” overnight. There was never a time that I wondered how things were going, and if Leo had a question or observation to share, he was quick to reach out. Weixiu provided drop in service for our 2 pups while we were away on a short vacation. One of our dogs is shy and she quickly warmed up to Weixiu's kind, caring energy. Our dogs were walked, fed and cared for with lots of pictures and video updates via the app. When we returned home, our dogs were in a great mood (as opposed to shell shocked like when returning from a kennel).
