“Catherine was an amazing cat sitter and I would absolutely rebook with her again. She followed all of my care instructions very carefully and was extremely attentive to my cats’ needs while I was away. One thing that really stood out to me was how quickly she noticed an issue with my cat Bruce, who has chronic constipation. I had explained the warning signs to look out for before I left, and the very first night I was gone she noticed he was trying to use the litter box but couldn’t. She contacted me immediately, made herself available for a phone call, and followed all of the care steps I walked her through. Thankfully, Bruce improved a lot after that, and I was so grateful she caught it so early. She also sent constant updates and photos throughout the trip, so I was never left wondering how my babies were doing. Catherine house sat for two nights as well, and when I came home my apartment was exactly as I left it. I felt like my cats and home were genuinely cared for while I was away. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive, and compassionate pet sitter.”

“Zahara was great! She sent wonderful pictures and transported our dog back and forth to dog camp each day. She took our dog on a walk as well. We will definitely use her again!”

“Leonardo took wonderful care of our cat, Genie, while we were away on our five day honeymoon. He came by daily to feed her, clean her litter box, and spend time with her. We especially appreciated that he brushed her when he noticed her fur was getting a bit matted and made sure to give her plenty of pets and attention. He was very communicative throughout the entire stay, sending daily updates and pictures that really put us at ease and let us know Genie was in great hands. It made such a difference being able to relax on our trip knowing she was being so well cared for. We would absolutely recommend Leonardo to others and would happily book with him again in the future!”

About: Treat Others the Way You Would Like To Be Treated, and that includes animals. I have always been an animal lover since I was a child. Spending my time helping out in animal shelters every opportunity I had, watching over and caring for the dogs, cats, rodents and reptiles of my friends, my friends families, my family and my own animals. I’ve walked, house sat and fostered many animals. I am a firm believer that animals are incredibly intelligent and if you give respect, you receive respect. I work in Dog Hiking. I work with a variety of breeds and personalities. I am also volunteering under a recovery dog training organization where I’m learning a variety of dog training skills. My availability has recently opened up. I am in a position to go forward with the next steps in my life and begin building connections in a new area. I work certain hours a week and now will be scheduling my outside commitments based on whatever dog walking and sitting routine I create. Every pet is different and has different needs. I personally create a schedule for each animal starting with their name, timing how to meet their own personal needs, whether it’s exercise, socializing, eating habits, medications etc. I show up on time and I am there for them, that is how I do my job because I care.
“Allegra was absolutely fantastic! She definitely loves dogs and both our Great Danes were very well cared for while we were gone. In addition, Allegra was not only very easy to communicate with but she also left the house cleaner than when she got there which was a great way to come home from a weekend away. We highly recommend Allegra!!”

“Alyssa house/pet sat for us during February break. She took great care of our two huge dogs and we were so grateful to have her keep an eye on the house for us while we traveled to California. Thanks for the peace of mind while we were on vacation! We will definitely be calling again.”

“Karissa was an awesome dog sitter and we will definitely reach out to her next time we need a sitter! Karissa had great communication every step of the way from setting up the first meeting, to checking in right before the weekend, to frequent adorable pictures. I could tell Maggie was well taken care of and she kept the house very clean as well. Thanks, Karissa!”

“I was so fortunate to find Cortney to house sit for our dog and two cats on short notice during the busy holidays. She answered my request right away and was very responsive as we filled each other in on what would be needed for the stay. Even though there wasn't time to set up a meeting I felt comfortable booking with Cortney based on our communications. During her stay, she checked in frequently with messages and photos to let me know how things were going or to ask clarifying questions. I could tell our animals were having a good time and being well taken care of. She even noticed and let us know that one of our cats appeared to have a worm and checked over our other animals. At the end of the stay she made sure to lock all the exterior doors. I wouldn't hesitate to book with Cortney again and recommend her enthusiastically for your house and petsitting needs!”

“Isabelle made me feel really comfortable going through this process, the first time using a rover house sitter. She took great care of Bonnie, sent lots of pics and updates, and left my home so clean and tidy!! Will definitely be requesting Isabelle again, and so should you!!!!”

“Ashlee did an amazing job. She was thorough, communicative, and left our house exactly as it was when we left for vacation (maybe even cleaner than we left it!). We have an anxious dog and Ashlee did great with her. We would definitely hire her again.”

About: I've taken care of so many animals throughout my life. Whether it's a neighbors dog or a family friends hamster, I have always been the first to raise my hand to say I would love to. I'm in nursing school so I have a compassion for anything that has heartbeat and even stuffed animals. I will make sure any animal I take care of or walk or encounter has the best experience. I'm at nursing student, Merrimack College, and being able to take care of any pet would allow me to debrief and see a cute pet. My dog gets walk very frequently because we live in an apartment. I love hiking so he also goes with me. Being outside whether the weather it is.
“Pam is awesome! Very responsive and an excellent communicator. I was nervous about leaving our kitten in someone else’s care but she put us right at ease and took excellent care of our kitty and our home. I would love to have her take care of our pets again anytime!!”

“Natalya did an amazing job with Simba. Simba is an older dog and pretty set in his ways but he was thrilled to make a new friend. Natalya took him on awesome long walks and really tired him out! He’s looking forward to seeing her again and enjoying all the treats she spoiled him with!”

“Bridget took the best care of our furbaby Arlo while we traveled for a week. It was the first time we had left him this long and she took amazing care of him and kept us updated the entire time (she takes great pictures!) which was so reassuring for us. Arlo is a playful, somewhat anxious young dog with a few medical issues and Bridget handled everything perfectly and proactively. Left our place even neater than we had. Thank you so much Bridget!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Weymouth
Molly was absolutely fantastic. We were so worried because our plans fell through for someone to watch our Maggie girl, so we needed someone last minute to stay at our house while we were away on an extended weekend trip. We had never used Rover before so we were a little cautious. Molly came over our home before the trip to meet us all, play with Maggie, and let us ask her a bunch of questions. Molly was not only amazing with Maggie- giving us updates throughout the trip but not being a bother, kept her routine and even letting her play outside with her best friend (our neighbor’s dog)- but she was also so respectful to our home. We came home and our home was spotless, just the way we left it. I would HIGHLY recommend Molly.

Isabelle did a wonderful job taking care of our senior dog, Grundy. She made sure he received his daily medication, cleaned up after him in our backyard, and left our home neat and tidy. She also sent us daily photos and updates, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. Before our trip, we let Isabelle know that Grundy has an ACL tear and weaker joints in his back legs. She was very attentive and noticed that he seemed to limp a bit more as the day went on. While this wasn’t unusual for him, she took the time to check in with us to make sure it wasn’t a new issue that needed attention. We really appreciated her thoughtfulness and attention to detail. Isabelle is incredibly sweet and caring. She even left dog treats for Grundy and cupcakes for us. During her stay, we had a water delivery, and she kindly brought everything inside the house for us. We felt completely at ease knowing Grundy was in her care. We would absolutely book with Isabelle again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive, and compassionate dog sitter especially for senior dogs or pets with special needs.

We asked Zahara to walk/watch our dog Leo while we were gone and she exceeded our expectations. She communicated everything that was happening with Leo along with any of her concerns. Plus she would keep us informed on what they were doing that day. Leo seemed to love her company and we would hire her again any day of the week if needed. I Highly recommend her.

Sara took great care of my Dane while I was out of town. She was flexible and responsive, sent updates on how my guy was doing- which was much appreciated being so far away and having not left him before. I would absolutely recommend Sara and work with her again!

Alyssa was fantastic! We hired her to house sit and watch our girls for a week while we were away. We met with her beforehand to introduce her to our dog, Min and discuss that week away. Our dog loved her right away, and we felt confident about trusting our babies (we also have a cat who is not as social). While away, we got daily updates about both girls with photos, and Alyssa was very responsive with all of our interactions. When we got back we saw she left us a sweet thank you note for trusting her with the girls, and how much she loved spending time with them. We could not recommend Alyssa enough, and we will absolutely book with her again in the future!

Allegra was amazing and took such incredible care of our pups. It was clear they were so loved while we were away, and her updates meant everything to us. She went above and beyond, and we came home to a spotless house. Being away for 10 days is tough, but knowing they were with Allegra made it so much easier. We’re so appreciative and have used her a few times now—we will absolutely continue to use her again!

Valerie stayed with our three dogs for five days and did a great job managing their meds and keeping up with their schedule. She gave us regular updates and left our house spotless. We came home to three dogs that barely seemed to notice we’d been gone. We will be calling Valerie again!

Eva exceeded every expectation. Minka can be temperamental but she was 100% comfortable with Eva from their first meeting. Some people have a natural empathy with animals and Eva is one of them. Eva kept us up to date with daily pictures and reports. I have never been more comfortable entrusting Minka’s care with anyone more than I was entrusting Minka to Eva. And the house was spotless when we returned. I recommend Eva without reservation.

Gavin is such a great dog sitter!! He watched our 2 dogs while we were away on vacation & they both loved him. He was available to provide updates via message and picture, followed all the care instructions, and was willing to head over to our apartment early to check on our dogs.

Christina stayed with our three busy dogs for a long weekend; she gave regular updates and followed all of their weird medication, supplement, and feed protocols without a hitch. She was super flexible when our travel plans coming home were uncertain, and left our house spotless. We look forward to having her again!

Great experience with Micah! Tons of updates and pictures. She took my active pup on lots of walks including some really long ones to tire him out! All instructions were followed and the house was in perfect shape when we got back. We’ve been using Rover for 5+ years and this was the best overnight experience we’ve had so far. Highly recommend.

Molly has been great for us. She’s helped us out in a pinch a couple of times. She’s been reliable, trustworthy, and a great sitter for our puppy. She’s also respected our home. I will continue to have her sit our dog as long as she’s willing, and recommend her highly!

FAQs for House Sitting - Weymouth
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Weymouth on Rover is $55.5 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 6,095 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Weymouth. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Weymouth walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Weymouth maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Weymouth choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Weymouth. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
