She followed all of my care instructions very carefully and was extremely attentive to my cats’ needs while I was away. One thing that really stood out to me was how quickly she noticed an issue with my cat Bruce, who has chronic constipation. I had explained the warning signs to look out for before I left, and the very first night I was gone she noticed he was trying to use the litter box but couldn’t. She contacted me immediately, made herself available for a phone call, and followed all of the care steps I walked her through. Thankfully, Bruce improved a lot after that, and I was so grateful she caught it so early. She also sent constant updates and photos throughout the trip, so I was never left wondering how my babies were doing. Catherine house sat for two nights as well, and when I came home my apartment was exactly as I left it. I felt like my cats and home were genuinely cared for while I was away. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, attentive, and compassionate pet sitter.”

“I only wish I could give Allegra six stars! Our dog Minka has always had an issue with boarding. She does not like the kennel and she gets very anxious boarding there. I’ve tried to find someone to board her with, but many people will not take shepherds because of insurance issues. I found Allegra on Rover and was impressed with her reviews. Minka does not do well when she first meets a new person and when Allegra came for an initial interview, Minka was not as friendly as she typically is with family and friends. Allegra was not phased in the least and said she was happy to come back and that she preferred working with big dogs. When Allegra came back to babysit for our four day trip once again, Minka greeted her with barking and suspicion. Again, Allegra was not phased in the least and by the time we got home from our short trip, Minka had been sleeping on the bed with Allegra and didn’t want her to leave. I was beginning to think Minka liked Allegra more than me! Allegra also left the house spotless! About: I have been around dogs and other pets my whole life! I grew up with Rottweilers and my family currently has Bernese mountain dogs and boxers so I understand the energy that fuels these big babies. I have experience with cats along with other animals ranging from farm to reptile. I have changed dog diapers, administered medications, and have provided care from puppy to senior. My current life does not allow for a dog and I just have so much puppy love to give! I’m a teacher on summer break who also does not have much of a social life. I am very flexible currently and can fit with your schedule! I’m comfortable with what you are comfortable with! I have administered meds, changed dog diapers, and understand the importance of a watchful eye (my family dog will eat poop if she could).

About: I am a young working professional who is super excited to meet your dog! I have a 5-year-old adopted pit bull who is very energetic, and before that I had a small border terrier for 10 years. I have been walking dogs at an animal shelter for 4 years, so I have experience with many types of breeds and sizes. In college, I trained seeing-eye and disability service dogs. I can do short or long walks, or if desired I can run with your pet. I am also very happy to give your dog lots of love for drop in visits! I will make sure your pet has food or water and I can administer medications if needed. I will make sure your dog is as happy as can be while you are away from your home! Most days I am available before 9am, between 12-1pm, and after 5pm. However, I can be flexible depending on the days. I am usually available on weekends. I will follow instructions exactly as they are given and give your pet all the attention he or she needs. When I am with your pet they are my main focus and I will make sure they are safe and happy.

About: I have been in the caring business since my teenage years - babysitting my younger siblings, caring for my family dog, running a summer enrichment program for at risk youth, caring for horses at a dude ranch and a western suburbs farm, minding many friends' dogs, and wrangling my own two senior dogs - brother and sister, now 14 years old. (But, so rambunctious for their first 10+ years). I love dogs and will care for your dog just as you would. One of my dogs is now blind and the other requires daily subcutaneous fluids so I am willing and able to help out with any of your pet's special needs as well..... I know how stressful it can be to ensure a routine is kept. Pet first aid and CPR certified. I am currently on a full time job hunt in marketing analytics and very available (with notice) to care for your dogs most days and evenings as I can search and do freelance work remotely. Depending on your dog's needs I can usually provide bathroom breaks every 4 hours in between errands, etc. My calendar will be updated to show days I plan to be away. At this time, I can care for pets in my client's home. I do need to bring my dogs for the overnight portion of the stay but will keep them separate in a room/space of your choosing during the evening (and on bedroom floor at night). They are very dog friendly just very sleepy and do well snoozing someplace quiet.

Molly was absolutely fantastic. We were so worried because our plans fell through for someone to watch our Maggie girl, so we needed someone last minute to stay at our house while we were away on an extended weekend trip. We had never used Rover before so we were a little cautious. Molly came over our home before the trip to meet us all, play with Maggie, and let us ask her a bunch of questions. Molly was not only amazing with Maggie- giving us updates throughout the trip but not being a bother, kept her routine and even letting her play outside with her best friend (our neighbor’s dog)- but she was also so respectful to our home. We came home and our home was spotless, just the way we left it. I would HIGHLY recommend Molly.
We asked Zahara to walk/watch our dog Leo while we were gone and she exceeded our expectations. She communicated everything that was happening with Leo along with any of her concerns. Plus she would keep us informed on what they were doing that day. Leo seemed to love her company and we would hire her again any day of the week if needed. I Highly recommend her.
Valerie stayed with our three dogs for five days and did a great job managing their meds and keeping up with their schedule. She gave us regular updates and left our house spotless. We came home to three dogs that barely seemed to notice we’d been gone. We will be calling Valerie again!
Eva exceeded every expectation. Minka can be temperamental but she was 100% comfortable with Eva from their first meeting. Some people have a natural empathy with animals and Eva is one of them. Eva kept us up to date with daily pictures and reports. I have never been more comfortable entrusting Minka’s care with anyone more than I was entrusting Minka to Eva. And the house was spotless when we returned. I recommend Eva without reservation.
Christina stayed with our three busy dogs for a long weekend; she gave regular updates and followed all of their weird medication, supplement, and feed protocols without a hitch.
