About: I have had experience taking care of retired police dogs for 5+ years. I have taken care of many large and small dogs as well as multiple cats, rabbits, exotic fish, guinea pigs, and hamsters. I myself also have had 3 dogs of my own and 7 cats. Right now I am self employed and have plenty of availability to help out with pet care. I am available for overnight care as well as daytime care/check ins. I treat my pets with utmost respect and kindness. I enjoy playing and spending time with all animals. If a conflict erupts I can separate by either putting your pet in a crate or using a separate room.
“I only wish I could give Allegra six stars! Our dog Minka has always had an issue with boarding. She does not like the kennel and she gets very anxious boarding there. I’ve tried to find someone to board her with, but many people will not take shepherds because of insurance issues. I found Allegra on Rover and was impressed with her reviews. Minka does not do well when she first meets a new person and when Allegra came for an initial interview, Minka was not as friendly as she typically is with family and friends. Allegra was not phased in the least and said she was happy to come back and that she preferred working with big dogs. When Allegra came back to babysit for our four day trip once again, Minka greeted her with barking and suspicion. Again, Allegra was not phased in the least and by the time we got home from our short trip, Minka had been sleeping on the bed with Allegra and didn’t want her to leave. I was beginning to think Minka liked Allegra more than me! Allegra also left the house spotless! I was so relieved that Minka finally had a positive boarding experience that I already have already booked Allegra for two more trips. I would recommend Allegra highly and without reservation.”

“Isis is truly the best! We have been searching for a dog sitter that made us feel comfortable and we felt really cared about our dogs and that is Isis! She went above and beyond and provided great pictures and updates. I know she would be a great dog sitter for anyone and we are so happy to have found her and will most definitely be using her services again.”

About: I have grown up with dogs my entire life. Through caring for puppies, high energy young dogs, and senior dogs, I have gained experience with a wide range of needs. Understanding what our furry companions require is important to me, and I take that responsibility very seriously. I work full time during the week, so my availability is limited to the weekends. I like to get up early and also don't mind staying late/spending the night. Going away for the weekend? I'm happy to help! I am an active person and enjoy taking dogs out for walks. I also find enrichment to be important and am happy to engage in such activities with your pet. Additionally, I often find it valuable to simply share space with a pet, so they feel less alone and more comfortable. I am happy to modify my care strategy in any way that is meaningful and important to the pet and its owner.
“Jordyn took great care of our dogs. Particularly our 13 yo who wasn’t feeling well. She made sure to contact us with updates and would highly recommend. This is our first ever rover experience”

About: I can handle dogs of all different breeds and love to treat them with the love and respect they deserve! I love what I do! I am currently working a full time job during the week Monday through Friday, so weekends work best for me to be able to take care of dogs. I can easily crate a dog if needed and will use what is needed at my clients house to be able to keep the dog safe and sound.

“Eva took such wonderful care of our 18 week old puppy! Lots of walks and special attention. It was our first time leaving our puppy and we were reassured throughout our vacation by Eva’s photos and updates. About: Hi there! I’m Erin— originally from and currently living in Hingham. I’ve taken care of dogs professionally for three years now. I also grew up with a dog named Lucy who was part German Shepherd and part lab so I am accustomed to big dogs. She was primary responsibility when I was a teenager. While living in DC in my twenties, I walked dogs part-time through Wag for seven years. I’ve taken care of all kinds of dogs, big and small, puppies and seniors all across the city. I do both walks and sittings. I currently work a regular 9 to 5 in Boston so I mainly walk dogs in the evenings and dog sit on the weekends. I work from home Fridays so have more flexibility then too. I treat all dogs I walk or sit with the love and gentleness I would show them if they were my own. I also always make sure your dog is comfortable with me and trusts me before the walk and/or sitting. I am a strong communicator and ask that pet owners let me know any triggers the dog might have as well as their unique quirks.

“Monica is wonderful with my very high energy terrier, Bernie! She’s watched him multiple times and is always responsive and sends consistent updates! I would highly recommend her!”

About: I have been walking dogs for a while now and I love their company and the time we spend together. Short walks or long walks or even time to take them to a dog park. I enjoy it all and would love to keep working with them and having a fun time. Hi my name is Thomas. My best days are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. I'm open 9am to 5pm each of those days. In advance I can do some weekends and possibly a Tuesday afternoon if needed. I would tent to their needs. If they need to be walked, feed, brushed. Or what the owner requests for me to do. I can do local pick up and drop off if needed as well.

About: Hello! Thank you for clicking on my page today. My name is Valerie and I would love to look after your furry family member. For the last 16 years I've had a dog in my family. Taking care of her showed me how much I love animals and I'd love to extend this love to lots of different animals. I consider myself to be professional, outgoing, and flexible. I pride myself on providing quality service for my clients and their furry friends and I feel devoted to connecting with people just as much as their pets. Dog safety is my number one focus at all times. Keeping your dog happy, healthy, and safe is considered a bare minimum requirement for me. I also feel it's important to acknowledge that every dog, just like every person, is different and that treating each new dog with it's own individual form of respect and care is very important. No two dogs are the same and I look forward to rising to the occasion to care for your dog's individual needs. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out! I'm currently working on Rover being my full-time gig so I have more than enough time for you and your furry family member. Please reach out and I will make any accommodations necessary. Like every person, animals share unique personalities, experiences, and histories. I start by listening and taking in all the information from you the owner. Once I understand, to a T, what you require I then turn my attention to our furry friend. I do my best to be intuitive and listen to their body language and mannerisms to give them the right care they need. Is your dog giving me a whale eye or a play sneeze? Does you cat have scared airplane ears or a nice perky and curious tail? All of these pieces of body language ensure that your furry friend and I can get along swimmingly.

Eva exceeded every expectation. Minka can be temperamental but she was 100% comfortable with Eva from their first meeting. Some people have a natural empathy with animals and Eva is one of them. Eva kept us up to date with daily pictures and reports. I have never been more comfortable entrusting Minka’s care with anyone more than I was entrusting Minka to Eva. And the house was spotless when we returned. I recommend Eva without reservation.

Christina stayed with our three busy dogs for a long weekend; she gave regular updates and followed all of their weird medication, supplement, and feed protocols without a hitch. She was super flexible when our travel plans coming home were uncertain, and left our house spotless. We look forward to having her again!

Sheila watched Wilson for me overnight for a few days while staying at my apartment and did a great job! She was communicative, sent pictures and left my apartment in great shape. I know my dog Wilson had a great time with her. I highly recommend her and hoping to use her again in the future!

Jennifer was great with our 2 cavaliers and communicated very well with pictures and videos. She administered Mary’s insulin shots and gave her her meds on schedule. Very polite and professional and our dogs loved her. Will definitely be calling in her again.
