Full-Time Dog Sitter w/ Fenced Yard
As the eldest of 6 siblings, looking after others is second nature to me, and I’ve carried that nurturing instinct into raising dogs. I’ve had the joy of raising & training a variety of breeds, including beagles, a basset hound, & now my two golden retrievers. I’ve taught them skills, provided structured attention, & helped them grow into well-adjusted, happy companions. I’m highly detail-oriented when it comes to caring for dogs (double-wrapping leashes around my wrist on walks, making sure doors and trash are secure, and even adding chicken wire behind our fenced yard just incase). Every precaution is about keeping your pup safe while making sure they feel happy, comfortable, and loved. I treat every dog as my own, with the same attention, patience, and care I give my own pets. Whether it’s a playful puppy or a calm senior, I tailor each visit to your dog’s unique needs. My focus is always on safety, engagement, and personalized care, making sure your furry family members feel loved, secure, and fully supported. ♥️🐾

Kayla is an amazing sitter! I have struggled for YEARS to find a dog sitter for my anxious dog, Onyx. He is very flighty and takes a long time to warm up to people and trust them. For those reasons, every sitter and trainer we have tried to use since getting him as a rescue pup has not worked out. He would fail meet and greets and temperament tests and the only time we have been able to take vacations has been to find family or friends that he is comfortable to house sit. Onyx was comfortable with Kayla as soon as we had the initial meet and greet. She has a wonderful setup that is dog focused, from fresh water that is always available to the nice quiet backyard where the dogs can just relax. Onyx felt comfortable walking right into Kayla's home and did really well meeting Kayla's dogs. They were very well trained and friendly and helped my Onyx settle in quickly. Kayla maintained excellent communication from the start of our interactions and was very responsive to any questions or concerns that I brought up. She sent us updates and pictures of Onyx daily so there was never a point during our vacation when I was worried about my dog or wondering if he was getting enough attention or activity. Walking Onyx can be a very difficult challenge and I let Kayla know that she didn't have to try if he was showing a lot of anxiety but she went above and beyond to make sure Onyx was included on any walks with the other dogs and he did amazingly! I only have positive things to say about Kayla and her services as a dog sitter. I feel so comfortable having Onyx stay with her that I will definitely be booking again for any future vacations and maybe even doggy daycare because he had so much fun. For the first time in years, I feel a relief from the stress I would get from even thinking about vacation and it is all thanks to Kayla and her experience and skills as a dog sitter! Thank you Kayla!!

Kayla took such great care of our pup and kept us updated with photos and messages. Fenix was happy, tired out with play and walks, and well loved. Kayla even looked out for her during the stressful July 4th fireworks. We will def book again and highly recommend her!

Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a secure, fenced-in yard where your dog can play freely and safely. My two friendly pups, one social and the other more independent, provide a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. If your dog prefers more personal space, I can separate or crate them as needed for their comfort and security. I pride myself in creating an environment where your pet will feel at home, with plenty of love and supervision every step of the way!

A typical day
A typical day starts with some backyard playtime in my fenced-in yard so everyone can stretch their legs and get some morning energy out. Depending on the dog’s energy level, we’ll go for a neighborhood walk or head to a local park for a sniff adventure. I love engaging dogs in mental enrichment games like hide and seek with treats or practicing tricks. My two goldens are incredibly friendly and social, so visiting dogs always have built-in playmates here! Afternoons are usually for lounging in a sunny spot or enjoying belly rubs, with another walk or yard play before dinner.
