Availability
I am retired and am home 95% of the time. That means I spend my time looking after the animals in my care all day except an occasional trip to the store. I’m available all week and you can drop off and pick up any day of the week between the hours of 8 am and 8 pm. If you need to drop off before 8:00 am you will need to schedule the drop off for the day before and if you need to pick up after 8:00 pm you will need to schedule your pick up time for the following day.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a single family home, with a fenced in backyard and a large covered, screened in back porch. The dogs love playing in the yard with plenty of shade in the summer months and full access to a fantastic back porch that has beds for the pups to hang out on when they want. The porch really comes in handy on rainy days. The dogs can still spend some quality time outside without getting wet and dirty. My TV room doubles as a large playroom for your dogs to be able to rough house and play indoors during bad weather. I recently lost my 13 year old dog, Amber. So right now I have no dogs of my own and really enjoy having guest dogs come to visit.

Information Julie B. would like to know about your pet
I’ll need to know information about your dog. Do they have any health problems. Your veterinarians contact information in case of emergency. Their feeding schedule and do they need a special diet. What is their normal bathroom schedule at home. Are they afraid of anything. What scares them and what makes them happy. Are they aggressive around children, adults or other animals. I will need to know this if I’m taking them on walks around the neighborhood. All dogs must be housebroken unless a puppy in training. I’ll need to know if your dog is use to going to the bathroom outside or inside on a potty pad. Also any other information you feel is important to make your puppy feel safe and happy during their stay.
A typical day
First thing when I wake up all the dogs go out into the backyard for their morning potty break. While they are outside, I’m getting everyone’s breakfast ready. Then everyone comes in to eat. All dogs are fed separately, to insure there is no arguments over food. Then we start our day of playing. We have a big yard to play ball in and will have a small doggie pool when the weather warms up. We take long walks around a very quiet neighborhood. If your dogs like to play with children, I have my grandkids that live across the street that love to come play with the puppies staying with us. But only with your permission. Let’s not forget all the tummy rubs and petting. We give treats, dog biscuits throughout the day, if approved in your dogs diet. Dinner is usually fed at 5:00 pm. The last thing we do at night before bed is all the dogs go outside for their final potty break and when they come in they get a treat before bed. Most of the dogs settle into my bedroom with me but they are allowed to sleep anywhere in the house they want. If your baby is crate trained and prefers to sleep in their crate, I’ll ask you to bring it with them. If your puppy is used to going for walks to use the bathroom, we will accommodate them.

Reviews

Julie was fantastic. After my family met with her we knew instantly she was the one for us. We used her overnight for our son’s wedding and could not have been happier. We had never had our Molly stay with anyone other than a family member so this was a big deal for us, plus the first time we used Rover. Julie put me at ease and shared pictures of her and Molly. Cannot go wrong with Julie. Highly recommended!!

Julie was a pleasure to work with. She took great care of our dog Mollie. Can’t ask for anything more

Ziggy stayed with Julie and Amber for 10 days, which is one of the longest times she has been away from us . Julie was great and very patient with Ziggy and met Ziggy where she was (she can be scared around new people ) , provided regular updates , was quick to respond and we felt very comfortable leaving Ziggy here as Julie is a very experienced and thoughtful animal and dog lover.

Julie was great. Penny had a great time and we got lots of pictures and videos. This is our second time booking through her and we will definitely come back again.
