Bentley seemed happy to see us but reluctant to leave when we picked him up! And we got a lot of feedback and pictures during both days of his one-night stay. About: I’ve been taking care of dogs and cats since I was 10 years old. Family members, friends, neighbors, etc. have always had pets and have relied on me to take care of them for periods of time. I work on a hybrid schedule, so I am home most Mondays, Fridays - Sundays all day. When I am in the City working I have breaks where I can walk dogs that are close by as well. I don’t have any pets in my home, I live with my fiance who has grown up owning multiple dogs at a time. We have no children in the home either. We live in a townhouse with a front and back yard.

About: I have a 5-year-old border collie. He’s very friendly and loves to play with other dogs. I live in a town house so I don’t have a yard per say. I typically take my dog to parks/fields in Ashland to hike or run around. I typically walk my border collie about 4 miles a day as well. I work remote so I am usually home. Available 7 days a week. I usually go to the gym for a few hours each day but try to be home for my dog to keep him active as a herding dog (border collie) I will do 2 long walks per day typically (2 miles each). I will also take my dog and yours hiking or to a field/park but not a dog park. I can go to a fenced in field if needed for your dog. Mine doesn’t need a fence.
“We couldn’t be happier with the care Matt and Patty provided for our Golden Retriever during the 10 nights we were out of the country. From the very beginning, we felt completely comfortable leaving him in their care. We were able to visit their home beforehand, and they have a wonderful setup, including a large, fully fenced backyard with plenty of room for him to play. Throughout our trip, Matt and Patty sent us frequent updates and photos, which gave us tremendous peace of mind. They took him on daily walks around the neighborhood, gave him lots of attention, and it was very clear that he was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. What really stood out to us was how they handled a day when he wasn’t feeling well and developed some stomach issues. Matt immediately contacted us, proactively made an appointment with the vet, and made sure we were comfortable with him taking our dog in to be seen. Afterward, Matt and Patty followed the vet’s recommendations closely and even cooked rice and beef for his meals for several days while his stomach recovered. They truly cared for him as if he were their own. When we returned, we came home to a very happy puppy, and we could tell he had been loved and well cared for the entire time. We are so excited to have found Matt and Patty. Finding people you can completely trust with your dog while you’re away is incredibly important, and we feel very fortunate to have found such reliable, attentive, and genuinely caring sitters. We would absolutely recommend them and will not hesitate to have them care for our dog again!”

About: Hi, my wife Ali and I have been taking care of and walking dogs for years. We have 3 small dogs and 2 small parrots of our own. We live in a house with our own private fenced in dog park in the back. My wife is always home as she works from home and I work overnight so your pet will never be alone. We love to care for all dogs or other animals! We have 2 young children so your dog must be good around kids as well. If you have any questions please message me. Unfortunately at the time we are not accepting any large breeds (dogs that stand really tall on 4 legs) unless they are a small puppy and are 35-40lbs or less. We also do not take dogs that mark all over the house, one accident is expected when nervous in a new environment and we understand. We do charge extra $20 if you run out of food or we need to feed your dog our own food because dog food is costly these days. We also will charge a $200 cleaning fee for dogs who do mark all over the house because as stated we do not take dogs that do this. We are am extremely flexible with pet schedules, as of right now we bring our own dogs out every 3-4 hours for potty breaks and playtime outdoors. We visit a local dog park and we also have a yard. We have our own yard and we will be outside with your dog on leash, never left unsupervised, safety for everyone is important to us. We will always be very transparent with you.

About: I am an animal lover who goes above and beyond caring for animals. My Vizsla is 12 years old and recently had to go away for a week and he needed to stay at a kennel. He had never been kenneled before and realized how important it is to find a loving and caring place for him while I was away. I was lucky enough to find a place but realized the importance of having somewhere/someone to care for pets as well as I would. So decided to sign up for Rover and hoping to help someone as I was helped! I have a home with a decent sized fenced in back yard. About: I’ve been walking my family’s dogs for almost a decade now - a high energy Brittany spaniel & a very large husky/shepherd mix. 7 years ago I rescued a German shepherd/pit bull mix (Layla) who I’ve trained extensively and take on daily adventures. Then, a year ago I rescued Dixon (a German shepherd/Australian cattle dog mix) and he’s been reactive to humans & dogs alike. I’ve completed extensive training in classes with him alongside professionals. I’ve taken that experience and can apply many basic training concepts to dogs of all sizes/ages. I’m currently available throughout the work week at any time (as an educator on summer break). As of September 1st, I will be available from 2pm into the early evening. Book early to save a spot right at 2! I know a wide variety of trails/walking spots in the local area, so your pup will always be enriched & happy! I make sure to carry some kind of dog deterrent (PetSafe SprayShield or Pet Corrector) in case of emergency, and try to engage in positive reinforcement training throughout walks. This looks like rewarding the dog(s) with treats when they check in with me, stay in a heel, or keep loose tension on the leash. Within your home, I’ll always change/refill the water for the dog(s) after the walk.

About: I have taken care of dogs for as long as I can remember, and I’ve not lived a single day without having one or two dogs in my home. I have such a special place in my heart for dogs and no matter what kind how big, how mean, or nice it is I will make sure it is cared for and loved as much as it can be. I work part time at a nursing home in Medway, but my hours are not extremely long, and I have the flexibility to leave when needed to care for pets if they are located nearby. During the school year, I am a student at Bridgewater State University, so I will primarily be looking for pet care services in that area. My classes end no later than noon each day, which gives me plenty of availability in the afternoons and evenings, as well as in the mornings when needed before class. When caring for pets in my home, I treat them like family. I love spending time with them, playing with them, and giving them plenty of attention to make sure they feel loved and not ignored. My dogs at home and I spend a lot of time on walks and hikes. I also have a fenced in backyard where they can safely run and play. I am very comfortable handling larger dogs on leash and can manage any that may pull. When I care for a pet at a client's home, I make sure they have everything they need while I am there, like fresh food and water. I also make sure they get lots of playtime and attention, and toys to keep them entertained. I will ALWAYS follow every pet's individual routine and make sure they are comfortable, safe, and cared for at all times.

My mom became paralyzed and I walked and took care of her 2 senior dogs for about 8 years until they passed. I gave them oral medication, cooked their food, walked and groomed them. Then she adopted a puppy and I took care of him as well as trained him. I currently have 2 french bulldogs of my own. One is a hyper little puppy and the other is a calmer 5 year old. I started in the pet care industry in high school where I volunteered at Baypath Humane society. That brought on several dog walking and pet sitting/daycare jobs along the years! I took a little break from working under someone for a bit, and now am deciding to pursue my own business and gain some clientele here on Rover first. I will treat your fur babies the way I treat mine! That is so important to me. I also am planning to get Re-certified in pet CPR and Hemlich soon. I have been certified previously. I always have a pet first aid kit on hand. Experienced care of cats, dogs, and rabbits and small animals. I’ve also been able to administer basic oral medications, eye drops and insulin shots in the past for my doggy clients. It truly is a passion for me to care for your pets and i’d only want the best for every animal i come in contact with. I really hope to see your pet soon for whatever their needs may be!
About: I’ve had pets since I was a child- Always at least one cat, one dog, and a turtle! I have volunteered with MSPCA as well, and taken care of shelter animals. My own dog is from a shelter, and she is reactive to other dogs. I’ve helped train her both in the house and on the leash, and have experience in handling reactive animals because of this. My dog, a snuggly pitbull, is now a certified Canine Good Citizen! I can keep up with high energy pets, but I also love being with a pet that loves relaxing just as much as I do. I will always follow instructions/rules for your pet, and I am open to phone calls, texts, and email for communications. I look forward to meeting and caring for your lovely pets! I’m currently on Winter Break, so I can house sit, walk, drop by, etc. during days or nights. I am used to late nights, and could do early mornings if needed. I am always very careful about a pet’s space and comfort in their home. I can feed, walk, play, and drive pets around as needed. My car also includes a seat cover that prevents clumsy pets such as my own from falling, so I am open to driving any size of pet.

About: Hi! My name is Annie and I have experience with about every pet you can name. I am 24 years old and live at home with my parents, brother and 4 cats. We have had dogs, cats, chickens, hamsters and even a lizard. I am known as the cat whisperer and all pets always love me because I approach animals with a calm and nurturing tone. “Adreine is perfect! My dog stayed with her for 8 nights, and this was our first ever experience with Rover. And it turned out great! Adreine sent me a ton of pics and videos during this week with Rex, and that helped a lot while I was far away! She did everything I’ve asked for, including following the special feeding schedule for my dog, as he has a special diet for now and needs to drink more (she mixed water in his food and literally placed water bowls everywhere). Adreine and her husband played with him a lot and I got back a bit spoiled and very happy pup:). She also has a very quiet neighborhood, with no cars around and perfect for the walks outside. About: I have a 5-year-old border collie. He’s very friendly and loves to play with other dogs. I live in a town house so I don’t have a yard per say. I typically take my dog to parks/fields in Ashland to hike or run around. I typically walk my border collie about 4 miles a day as well. I work remote so I am usually home. Available 7 days a week. I usually go to the gym for a few hours each day but try to be home for my dog to keep him active as a herding dog (border collie) I will do 2 long walks per day typically (2 miles each). I will also take my dog and yours hiking or to a field/park but not a dog park. I can go to a fenced in field if needed for your dog. Mine doesn’t need a fence.
“We couldn’t be happier with the care Matt and Patty provided for our Golden Retriever during the 10 nights we were out of the country. From the very beginning, we felt completely comfortable leaving him in their care. We were able to visit their home beforehand, and they have a wonderful setup, including a large, fully fenced backyard with plenty of room for him to play. Throughout our trip, Matt and Patty sent us frequent updates and photos, which gave us tremendous peace of mind. They took him on daily walks around the neighborhood, gave him lots of attention, and it was very clear that he was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. What really stood out to us was how they handled a day when he wasn’t feeling well and developed some stomach issues. Matt immediately contacted us, proactively made an appointment with the vet, and made sure we were comfortable with him taking our dog in to be seen. Afterward, Matt and Patty followed the vet’s recommendations closely and even cooked rice and beef for his meals for several days while his stomach recovered. They truly cared for him as if he were their own. When we returned, we came home to a very happy puppy, and we could tell he had been loved and well cared for the entire time. We are so excited to have found Matt and Patty. Finding people you can completely trust with your dog while you’re away is incredibly important, and we feel very fortunate to have found such reliable, attentive, and genuinely caring sitters. We would absolutely recommend them and will not hesitate to have them care for our dog again!”
