About: Hi! I'm a lifelong animal lover who grew up around dogs and puppies thanks to my dad, a responsible dog breeder. Caring for dogs was a big part of my life from an early age, and I gained hands-on experience with dogs of different breeds, ages, and personalities. I grew to love cats as well when my best friend adopted two cats and we all lived together for several years. Since then, I've had the pleasure of pet sitting for puppies, dogs, and cats for friends, family, and clients. I'm dependable, communicative, and happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident that your pets are happy and well cared for while you're away. As an animal lover who's new to the Boston area and currently unable to have pets in my apartment, pet sitting is a wonderful way for me to spend time with animals while helping pet owners travel or work with peace of mind. I work from home, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to accommodate walks, drop-ins, and pet care throughout the day. When petsitting at your home, I can be there all day if you have wifi and a place for me to use my laptop, or I can pop in during the day and stay overnight. I always try to keep pets comfortable by maintaining their normal routines as closely as possible. Whether that means sticking to a feeding schedule, going on regular walks, playing, administering basic medications, or simply providing companionship, I pay close attention to each pet's individual needs and personality. Safety is my top priority. I make sure doors, gates, harnesses, and leashes are secure, and I closely supervise pets during walks and outdoor time. I also understand the importance of following any instructions you provide regarding your pet's care, behavior, or medical needs. When staying in a client's home, I treat both the pets and the home with the utmost respect. I'm tidy, responsible, and communicative, and I'm happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can enjoy your time away with peace of mind.

About: I've always loved animals - I grew up around them on a small farm, took a couple years of animal science schooling, and currently volunteer on the Canine Enrichment team at a local shelter. Throughout these experiences, I've helped care for all kinds of animals with all types of needs. I'm no stranger to administering medications, helping dogs settle down, and knowing when a puppy "needs to go." While my life used to be an abundance of animals, now I just live with my sweet little kitty, Chef Mac. So, don't hesitate to reach out - I have plenty of space in my home and my heart for your pet! 𝑬𝒙𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝑪𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑭𝒐𝒓: → 🐶🐱 The Usual - Dogs, Cats → 🐹🐁🐰 Lil Fuzzy Guys - Guinea Pigs, Hamsters, Rats, Ferrets, Chinchillas, Rabbits → 🐴🐔🐐 Barnyard Animals - Horses, Chickens, Goats → 🦎🐍 Scaly Friends - Bearded Dragons, Geckos, Snakes By the way, I love taking pictures and writing as a hobby. So, you'll be getting a lot of informative, photo-rich updates! 𝑭𝒓𝒆𝒒𝒖𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒍𝒚 𝑨𝒔𝒌𝒆𝒅 𝑸𝒖𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 "𝙸'𝚖 𝚘𝚞𝚝 𝚘𝚏 𝚛𝚊𝚗𝚐𝚎!" Send the request anyway! I tell Rover I'm willing to drive 15 minutes. We all live in Boston, right? So we know 15 minutes is kind of a vibe. If you're in the Boston Metro or North Shore area, we can probably make it work. "𝙸 𝚍𝚘𝚗'𝚝 𝚑𝚊𝚟𝚎 𝚊 𝚌𝚊𝚛!" I do! Just let me know and I can likely do pickup and drop-off. The number I put in my profile is a general estimate. I'll look at how much gas it will take to reach you, plus time, then I'll send you a quote. It'll probably be cheaper than ridesharing! 𝑺𝒑𝒆𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝑸𝒖𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 I am in the process of becoming Fear Free Certified and just enrolled in dog training classes. With your permission, I'd love to practice what I'm learning! I work freelance from home - so I have tons of flexibility to work around your pet's schedule (or, your hectic schedule!). Just a few exceptions: -> I volunteer once a week at the animal shelter on Mondays from 12 to 2. This is the only hard-and-fast time that I need to be out of the home. -> I do run a morning route with other animals. This means your pet will be alone for between one to four hours per day. Otherwise, there is almost always someone in the house. -> Sundays and Mondays are marked as unavailable for default on my calendar, but that's just because I can't help during midday. I have evenings available, though! Current special availability below: 𝚂𝚞𝚗𝚍𝚊𝚢𝚜 - 𝙰𝚟𝚊𝚒𝚕𝚊𝚋𝚕𝚎 𝚊𝚏𝚝𝚎𝚛 𝟼𝚙𝚖 𝙼𝚘𝚗𝚍𝚊𝚢𝚜 - 𝙰𝚟𝚊𝚒𝚕𝚊𝚋𝚕𝚎 𝚊𝚏𝚝𝚎𝚛 𝟹𝚙𝚖 - Before the appointment, we will align on expectations and your pet's daily needs. This will help us maintain a consistent routine and minimize stress to your pet. If any items seem challenging to fulfill, I'll proactively inform you of that. - If your pet will be visiting my home, they must tolerate cats. All boarding appointments will have a free Meet and Greet so we can screen for prey drive to ensure the safety of both animals. - If you're booking a boarding appointment for one dog, I might accept a boarding appointment for a second dog from a different family that is a similar size. If you'd like exclusive access to the house, please say so! - If you're booking for a cat, we will not book a new dog at the time that you reserve without your express permission. They will only stay with other cats and small animals. - While my yard is technically fenced, your dog will always be leashed and taken on walks for their safety.
“Cathalina took great care to make sure my cat Humphrey got his meds twice a day - not such an easy task. She also took the time to make friends with him (petting and playing). Most importantly, she let me know when she thought he was stressed, so that we could strategize about what to do for him (turning on the ac seemed to do the trick). I definitely recommend her!”

“Angela was wonderful and attentive with our two cats. She’s highly communicative and took great care of our cats, and our home, during twice daily drop in visits. We came back to two happy boys. I absolutely recommend Angela!”

About: Animals have always been part of my life. I grew up surrounded by pets and have experience raising cats and dogs from kitten and puppy stages to adulthood. I’m also the proud mom of a sweet 8-year-old cat who keeps me on my toes. I work remotely, so I have some freedom to come and check on your pets throughout the day. The time I spend caring for them is always the highlight of my day! I know pets feel safest in their own space, so I keep their normal feeding, play, and walk routines while giving them lots of love and company. I treat every home and pet with the same care and respect I give my own.
“We booked Heather last-minute to help fill in some gaps in animal care while we were away, and she was great! Responsive, prompt, flexible with our schedule, and our dogs and cat all loved her. We'd use Heather again in a heartbeat!”

“Nathan has watched my cat Leila several times now and I always look forward to his funny entries and I know she’s in good hands while I’m away. I can’t recommend him enough - thank you for taking care of my extremely loud and dramatic cat and giving her love while I’m away 😊”

“Bryn is absolutely wonderful! On time, communicative, and so kind/gentle with Milo. She is great at reading let body language and respecting when a pet just wants space. Super happy to have found her and be able to work with her.”

“Alicia was communicative and punctual with her visit. My cat gets lonely on his own, and she sent me pictures of him looking very happy having some playtime and a belly rub (his favorite). She adhered to the instructions I left for her and she was caring and attentive. I came home to a happy cat and that makes me happy! I have already booked Alicia for a future visit and I can enjoy my vacation knowing my cat will be well taken care of.”

I train dogs in all my interactions with them, out of habit, but also because I wan't them to have happy lives.
“It was my third time working with Yesika. She accommodated my last minute booking request. As always, Yesika was very punctual, responsive and communicative. My cat seemed to like her and feel comfortable around her, which was a big relief for me 🥰”

“Michele was a great sitter with our cat, Eleanor, during the holidays! She was very punctual and communicative. It was great to hear how Eleanor was doing and get plenty of photos while we were away. Thank you Michele!”

“Tatiana was fantastic! Super responsive and on point. Normally our Kittie is mad at us whenever we leave him for a trip, but this time he was happy and relaxed when we came home. Tatiana took great care and made a new friend!”

“Amber has only spent two days with my pup and I can already tell they are going to be friends! He’s happy and lively when I come home so I know he is getting a lot out of her visits!”

Caroline was so great with our cat Roxy! Roxy can get very stressed/territorial when we’re away and Caroline was very patient and followed the care instructions we left super closely to help Roxy feel more comfortable. I would definitely recommend Caroline (especially if you also have a more anxious cat)

Reilly stopped by and fed my cats while I was away for a few days, and I am so grateful for the exceptional care that was provided! I felt comfortable knowing my cats were well taken care of, and Reilly is great about communicating and following directions. So glad that I found Reilly on Rover!

Caroline was great! She came for a meet and greet to meet our kitties before the drop in sessions. I forgot to provide instructions for the lockbox and she was easy to work with the clarify. She was caring and followed instructions for our kitties. Already rebooked :)

Francesca did an excellent job of taking care of our dog and cat with several visits a day over the weekend. Responsibilities were feeding, walking and pill administration. Our pets were well cared for and Francesca gave us updates after each visit which is very important to us. We are very happy with Francesca and give her high marks on care, trust and reliability.

Nicole continues to be the greatest cat sitter ever. We have booked her many times and trust her completely. She takes excellent care of our two cats, provides detailed photos and write ups, and cares for the house in unexpected ways on top of everything else. You should absolutely book with Nicole - your pet(s) will thank you!!

We (people + cats) really enjoyed having Sunny (Haowen) as our cat sitter!!! He is exceptionally thorough and thoughtful and I especially appreciated his attention to detail. He honestly communicated about little hiccups (e.g., flat tire, cat puke) and professionally managed them. We would love to have Sunny take care of our cats again!!
