About: I am a Certified Dog Trainer (Catch Canine Trainers Academy), and I have a first aid for pets certification. If you want to entrust your dog to a compassionate professional, I'm your guy. I am a dog trainer, and pet parent, and I have some extra availability for dog walking. If you live near me I can fit you into my schedule. As a dog trainer, I am very experienced in pet care. I train dogs in all my interactions with them, out of habit, but also because I wan't them to have happy lives.
“Natalie was so great! She took awesome care of both our cats for several days. Reports and photos were thorough so we could relax on vacation knowing all was well. Thank you!”

“Monica was amazing at taking care of our cat! She provided many updates/photos and took things at our cat’s pace as she’s quite shy. She went above and beyond. Thank you, Monica!!”

About: I grew up with dogs and animals around me so would love to continue being around them. Life is boring without them, in our world. I work full time and go to school during the week would love to help people out during the weekend and maybe even weekdays if there is that relationship. I currently am not offering pet sitting at my house because my Roomate is allergic but I can come to the dogs home and care for them.

About: I’ve pet sat for a lot of my neighbors in high school. I have fed and walked dogs, fed and hung out with cats and even fed chickens! I have 3 cats and love dogs and going on long sunny walks :). Willing to learn about any animals! I work at a therapeutic middle school so my afternoons after 3 and weekends are free, and I’m free after 2 in the summer. I can travel to your house and stay with your pet and keep them company. If you need me to stay there/house sit, we can talk about that as well.
“Heather took excellent care of my cat while I was out of town for a whole week. She provided me with regular updates, sent tons of pics of play time or just to get clarification on anything. I left some notes on details about my cat and things items to address and she followed them to the letter! She even offered to brush her when I mentioned she likes that. Could not recommend Heather any stronger! She’s awesome!”

About: I’ve been an animal lover since birth. I grew up taking care of my dogs throughout my childhood, and helping my neighbors with their cats and farm animals whenever they were away. When I graduated college, I began fostering cats and fell in love with caring for the special needs cats who just needed a little love and time to open up and become the best versions of themselves. I am comfortable with all animals of all sizes, behaviors, and species and would love the chance to get to know your pet! I’m a full time law student at Northeastern school of law so I have a flexible schedule that varies every day. During the summer I am working an internship that is remote, which also gives me time during the day to check in on your pets! I will not be caring for animals in my own home, but I am happy to do whatever will make your pet happy in your home! I can crate if necessary, and also love taking pets for runs if they’re up for it!
About: My green flag is, pets love to be around me. I've been taking care of my friend's pets for two years and they love me. I am currently open to work with your schedule. I am free 5 days of the week. Preferably after noon, but I am very flexible I work through pet owner's needs. I try to understand pet's personality. I allow pets to be themselves around me. Safety and care comes first.
“Once again, she went above and beyond to help me. I asked a very last minute question, which was for her to bring my dog to my boyfriends house and without any hesitation she drove him there (not to mention in rush hour)”

“Rebecca is fantastic! My dogs can be a little overwhelming and she was so patient with them. They love her! I get the cutest pictures when she visits them! I highly recommend Rebecca!”

“Amber has only spent two days with my pup and I can already tell they are going to be friends! He’s happy and lively when I come home so I know he is getting a lot out of her visits!”

“Kat did a great job taking care of Gunnar. She communicated very promptly and clearly from the first contact; we set up a meet and greet for the next day and then two days later she came and walked him while I was away. She clearly loves dogs and he instantly loved her back. I knew he was in good hands. I wouldn't hesitate to book her again and I recommend her highly to anyone looking for pet care.”

“This was my first time using Rover, so I was nervous, but Chanel was great with communication. She did everything we asked and it seemed like she & Luffy had a great time. Would book again!”

“Nathan is awesome and a pet sitter that goes above and beyond! He took great care of our 2 dogs and 1 cat. He was super attentive, sent really great photos and notes each visit, took inside a package we weren't expecting, and even did some extra laundry for us after one of our elderly dogs had an accident. We really felt so comfortable knowing someone was taking such high quality care of our animals while also having an eye on house. Highly recommend!”
“Allison is absolutely wonderful! Our cat instantly adored her, and it made us so happy to see how much he enjoys spending time with her. She brought out his playful side and kept him active and engaged. Throughout her visit, she showered him with love and care. We feel incredibly lucky to have found her!”

“I always feel better knowing Kayla is looking after my kitty! She is a very shy girl but Kayla has been able to form a bond with her. It gives me peace of mind knowing my kitty is getting affection and playtime even while I am away”

About: Veterinary technician working in a vet clinic, almost 4 years in the field. Lifelong animal lover and caregiver. Looking for part time gigs that include more fluffy friends! I’m currently working 3 days a week at the vet clinic (shifts change week to week). Looking to fill up my other days with pet care to keep me active and surrounded by fluffy creatures. I update my availability calendar as my clinic schedule comes out. I live in a two family house (family owned). We have a fenced in backyard for your pup to run around and go potty if they’d like to. I have one cat, who gets along well with dogs (honestly, he just ignores them). If necessary to keep your dog more comfortable, they can be kept separated.

Aash is the perfect cat sitter, as always she took amazing care of our girls and they loved seeing her! Our very shy cat even sat in her lap, and she doesn’t even come out for strangers. I will always book Aash and you should too for the best possible care your cats can get!

Annaliese was incredibly thoughtful, caring, and attentive to my kitten. I truly could not have asked for a better pet sitter. She went above and beyond to make sure that Skippito was happy, comfortable, and loved. In addition, she was very communicative and kept me in the loop with how my little guy was doing the entire duration of my trip away.

I can’t say enough good about Yu. She was so sweet with our kitty, spent lots of quality time with her while we were gone, and sent us so many wonderful videos and photos! I would absolutely hire her again. She was extremely flexible and understanding as my schedule kept changing. 10/10 recommend!

Caroline was so great with my cat Nutmeg! I usually expect Nutmeg to be shy and not interact with strangers, but she looked like she really enjoyed hanging out with Caroline. It was so comforting to get the rover card updates and know that Nutmeg was being well taken care of!

Daniela always takes good care of my two cats when I’m out of town. She’s on time and attentive to the instructions I provided in advance. Also, she ends her visit by providing detailed updates of how cats were doing during her visit and sends out cute pictures of them which helps me feel reassured that they are in good hands. Highly recommend!

Fernanda always does a fantastic job with her drop-in visits for my very needy cat. I’m always kept in communication and receive lots of cute pictures and videos each visit. They go above and beyond in their care of Bandit, and I always feel comfortable leaving for trips knowing they are coming to visit each day. Thank you!!

Heather took such great care of our two cats while we were on vacation for 2 weeks! She made sure they got cuddles, food and play time and she helped with keeping them cool during heat waves. We felt very comforted knowing our boys were so well looked after. Heather is the best!!

Shannon was awesome! My cat is very particular and takes time to warm up to new people, but Shannon was incredibly patient and respectful of her space while making sure she was well cared for. She provided excellent care & updates, I felt much more at ease while I was away knowing my cat was in good hands!

Blane did a phenomenal job taking care of my cat, Auggie! The level of detail and care that Blane put into Auggie’s Rover cards was awesome—lots of photos, details about what they did together, and info about Auggie’s behavior. Blane was always responsive, showed attention to detail, and got along so well with Auggie despite this sit being their first time meeting each other. I booked Blane as a last minute, fill-in sitter, but I will definitely be rebooking. Highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Malden. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
