About: I am a corporate gal with a work from home job who loves pets of all types and sizes. I grew up surrounded by dogs, cats, horses, and chickens and have spent time volunteering at animal shelters and caring for others’ pets since I was very young. I work from home, so my schedule is very adaptable. I take meetings or draft documents all day, with plenty of breaks in between for play time, potty time, or exercise for your pets. Since I am home with your pet while I work, they will be very well supervised. I have experience working and living with escape artists and know how to handle sneaky little friends!
“Megan always takes fantastic care of our kitties - excellent communication, adorable update photos, and followed our care plan to a “T” :) can’t wait to have her back again!”

“Ana has done a great job watching our Dallas every time! We were able to completely put our trust in her when we went out of town for a 4 day long trip. It is nice to know he is in good hands when she sends photos of them playing and is always punctual! I would highly recommend her!”

“Haowen did a great job watching my two cats! Played with them lots and gave them lots of love. I really appreciate the flexibility working with my last minute booking.”

“Emma was very helpful in coordinating logistics for watching our cats, and went above and beyond during the visits, even cleaning up some messes our cats made while we were away. She also sends nice visit summaries and photos of the cats after each visit. 5 stars!”

“Stiles was amazing with my 9 week old puppy! They were reliable, communicative, and extremely attentive to her needs (which are many at this age!). Knowing my dog was in safe hands gave me some needed peace of mind in these early puppy weeks.”

About: I have limited professional experience in animal care but I have nearly a lifetime's worth of practical experience and pure love for all animals. Between having pets of my own and caring for others' fur-friends, I'm always the "DD" or "designated dog-duty" person. Since I've been able to walk to my neighbors houses or drive to friends and family members' homes I've often been relied on to check-in on, walk, feed, bathe, and care for their pets. Along with years of experience caring for pets in the home, I have volunteer experience bathing, blow-drying, and combing dogs of all ages and sizes. I've experience caring for dogs (including senior dogs), cats, puppies, kittens, turtles, hamsters, bearded dragons, and sugar gliders. Caring for others is something that comes naturally to me. I'm currently a graduate student aspiring to work in the mental health field with children and adolescents. However, as much as I love working with humans, I also love working with animals and pet-sitting/walking has become a side-gig that fills my cup and my wallet! I'm a quick-learner and willing to follow any special care instructions to accommodate your pet's needs. I'm currently a part-time graduate student so I have plently of time to walk and/or care for your furry friends! I have a lot of open availability and flexible scheduling during summer months so please reach out with any scheduling or timing questions. Safety is my top priority, for your pets, your home, and myself. I will carefully follow all care instructions, whether they're for routines inside the home, walks, medications, or any special needs. I'm attentive, observant, and adaptable to each pet's unique personality and always allow them to set the pace as we build trust and become comfortable with one another. I'm very patient with shy, fearful, or timid pets and can adapt to ensure introductions are low-stress and with your approval, can incorporate treats, toys, or gentle play to help them feel safe and confident. During walks, I keep dogs securely leashed at all times and remain aware of our surroundings to ensure a safe and fun experience. My goal is to provide dependable, compassionate care so you can feel confident knowing your pet is in safe, caring hands!
“Heather was such a big help while we were out of town this week. She sent pictures and updates to reassure us that our cat was doing well, and our cat loved seeing her! She made sure the house air conditioner was a comfortable temperature for a pet during a big heat wave which was very reassuring for us. She went the extra mile in many ways, it is a big comfort to know our pet was in very good hands while we were away. We can’t thank her enough, and we are looking forward to booking with Heather again 😊”

“Amber has only spent two days with my pup and I can already tell they are going to be friends! He’s happy and lively when I come home so I know he is getting a lot out of her visits!”

“Ayfer was so amazing with my 2 dogs, dropping in and seeing them multiple times while I was out of town for a weekend. My dogs felt comfortable with her immediately! She always sends pictures and videos and is a great communicator. Both of my dogs have medications and she was sure to keep them on schedule! I know my pups are in good hands with her!!”

About: I grew up with dogs, either my own or friends, we took in fosters when we could. My sisters current dog is very nervous of people, but I was able to gain her trust easily by being a calm and understanding person. I am able to do it after work on weekdays and at any time on weekends. I can also do drop ins during my lunch depending how far they are from my work. I am able to play with dogs the way they like, or just spend time calmly with them. I can meet their needs how it best suits them.

Anny was absolutely wonderful! She communicated clearly, was incredibly reliable, and took such great care of our cat, Milo. I’m very particular about who I trust with my cat, so it meant a lot to feel completely comfortable leaving him in her care. She was attentive, caring, and clearly treated Milo like her own. I would absolutely book with Anny again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving pet sitter! Thank you, Anny!

Heather took such great care of our two cats while we were on vacation for 2 weeks! She made sure they got cuddles, food and play time and she helped with keeping them cool during heat waves. We felt very comforted knowing our boys were so well looked after. Heather is the best!!

Ayfer is incredible! She's been so reliable and personable. Even our anxious cat loves her! We can really relax when we know Ayfer is with our furry family. She's also great with medication and just being a warm presence. Super responsive and sends incredible videos and pics!

Caroline was great! She came for a meet and greet to meet our kitties before the drop in sessions. I forgot to provide instructions for the lockbox and she was easy to work with the clarify. She was caring and followed instructions for our kitties. Already rebooked :)

Nicole continues to be the greatest cat sitter ever. We have booked her many times and trust her completely. She takes excellent care of our two cats, provides detailed photos and write ups, and cares for the house in unexpected ways on top of everything else. You should absolutely book with Nicole - your pet(s) will thank you!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
