“Annaliese has checked in on our very shy kitty a couple times - she is one of the few people Lola will come out for. Great communication and detailed report cards. Awesome sitter all around :)”

About: I have experience with both dogs and cats! My first two dogs were family dogs: a German shepherd and a Shih Tzu both under 1 year old when we got them. I currently have three cats that I’ve had since birth: two orange girls (currently 4 years old) and one grey tabby (currently 7 months old). So no age is off limits for me! I’d love to look after your fur baby while you’re away :) I currently work hybrid! Wednesdays and Fridays are my work from home days so I can pop in to check on your fur baby any time throughout the day. And same with the weekends. Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays I work 9-5 so I can stop by after work (6pm-9pm). I’ve used Rover for one of my cats in the past and had a wonderful experience with my sitter. She made sure to send me photos regularly and update me on a daily basis. After my experience with this sitter I know how to best make clients comfortable :) as a pet mom myself, I know how important it is to stay in the know while someone is looking after my baby!
“Nathan is pawsitively perfect. He is so good with our puppy and provides helpful real time feedback and the best photos. He notices new behaviors in our growing pup and alerts us to his changes and any potential issues. He has been really flexible with us and our changing schedules. Our dog loves him and yours will too!”

“Liz is great! So communicative and thorough in how to take care of the pups. During the visit, numerous updates were provided and was super detailed about how everything went. Would definitely recommend her :)”
“Alicia was communicative and punctual with her visit. My cat gets lonely on his own, and she sent me pictures of him looking very happy having some playtime and a belly rub (his favorite). She adhered to the instructions I left for her and she was caring and attentive. I came home to a happy cat and that makes me happy! I have already booked Alicia for a future visit and I can enjoy my vacation knowing my cat will be well taken care of.”

“Emma was great to work with and cared for our cat as if she was her own while we were away for a few days. She was super flexible when we asked to change one of the drop-in times, so it was nice to know that my cat was able to stick to a good meal schedule. Will gladly have Emma cat-sit for us again!”

“Andrea is amazing! I’m feel such a sense of relief knowing that she takes car of my babies. She always plays music for them and creates fun games to keep them active and engaged. She’s the best!”

About: Hello everyone! My name is Miranda and I am a Tufts University graduate with extensive animal behavior training. I live in Everett and currently work at a vet clinic as a technician so I have plenty of experience working with animals and plan to apply to veterinary school. In addition to my love for animals, I have taken care of neighbors’ and friends’ pets since high school! I am currently working as a veterinary technician on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. I am generally available on Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday, or after 6pm on days that I work. I love being outside and going for walks, especially when I have a furry friend to join me! I am very comfortable handling animals and can easily identify and de-escalate stress responses. I love socializing with dogs and cats, but am able to sense when an animal needs some space.
“Was able to come a check in on my baby last minute before the storm! I got stuck out of the country and was not going to be home when I thought and she made sure he was okay. Thank you so much. A life saver!”

“I always feel better knowing Kayla is looking after my kitty! She is a very shy girl but Kayla has been able to form a bond with her. It gives me peace of mind knowing my kitty is getting affection and playtime even while I am away”

“Rebecca is amazing! She dropped by last minute and took great care of my 65lb Cattle dog, 15lb Jack Russell, 8lb Terrier mix and 4lb Chihuahua! A huge variety of dogs and she did a great job with all!!! I've already scheduled my next pet sitting appointment with her! Would recommend her to all my family and friends.”

“Jayme was great with Lucy, was straightforward about a minor conflict with his schedule, and took extra time to try and gently make friends with her. I could tell from the photos he knows the rules of feline etiquette. Definitely recommend.”

About: My green flag is, pets love to be around me. I've been taking care of my friend's pets for two years and they love me. I am currently open to work with your schedule. I am free 5 days of the week. Preferably after noon, but I am very flexible I work through pet owner's needs. I try to understand pet's personality. I allow pets to be themselves around me. Safety and care comes first.
“Can’t say enough great things about Katy!! She watched our kittens while we were out of the country for a week, stopping by twice a day to feed and play with them. She sent great updates on how they were doing and took professional level photos of them for us!! Highly recommend Katy as a caring, trustworthy”
“I think one of my cats actually prefers Julia over me. She was pampered with toys and hair brushes that Julia brought over. My other cat is antisocial but was friendly with her which made me happy! Julia was available last minute for booking and she even adjusted her schedule after I booked the wrong times 😭. Overall, I’m extremely satisfied and delighted with her attentiveness and service! Would 1000% book again!”

“Monica was wonderful! It was my first time using Rover and I had a last minute work trip and she sent over photos and regular updates. Overall great experience and would definitely book Monica in the future!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Everett
Haowen and his girlfriend Yi were wonderful, caring, and very responsible sitters for our cat Yokii. My husband and I were quite anxious at first because this was our first time being away for such a long trip, and we were worried that our cat might have trouble adjusting or feel stressed. However, Haowen and Yi took such great care of him and gave us so much peace of mind. They always checked in on time, followed all of our instructions carefully, and helped our cat maintain his daily routine as much as possible while we were away. They were also very responsive and easy to communicate with whenever anything came up, which we really appreciated! On top of that, they took so many adorable photos and videos of our cat during each visit, which made us feel much more connected to him during our trip. Overall, we are extremely happy that our cat was so well cared for and that he got along so well with both of them. We (and Yokii) would absolutely feel comfortable and confident asking Haowen and Yi to take care of Yokii again the next time we travel. Big thanks again for everything!!

She was very caring, attentive, and took great care of my cat while I was away. She spent quality time playing with him instead of just stopping by to refill food, and it was obvious that she genuinely enjoys being around cats. She also kept me updated with photos and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind. I would definitely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!

This was my second time booking Gabrielle, and once again she took wonderful care of my cat, Kali. During the heat wave, she went the extra mile by making sure the AC was turned on when needed and even refilled Kali’s water bowl with ice to keep her comfortable. She even complied with some of my cats tantrums to keep her happy while I was away, and I was especially grateful that she was available over a holiday weekend. Thank you so much for taking such great care of her, I really appreciate it!

Rita was absolutely wonderful with Clover! She was incredibly reliable and communicative, sent thoughtful updates and plenty of photos, and clearly spent genuine time giving Clover lots of attention and snuggles. I felt completely at ease knowing Clover was in such caring hands while I was away. I would absolutely book Rita again and highly recommend her!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
