“Soli was awesome and we will absolutely be requesting her services again. She was kind/friendly, treated our home like her own, and most importantly she was great with our dog. I got regular updates from Soli that gave me peace of mind and confidence that Murray was in good hands. I highly recommend Soli for dog sitting!”

“Jamie was so great!! We booked her for dog sitting, while my wife and I went out to dinner. She is very responsive and made herself readily available for a meet and greet with our pup. We were a little worried about our high energy pup and having someone else watch him for the night, but Jamie came in confident and ready to take care of our little guy. Definitely recommend and will definitely book her service again soon!”

“Andrew is terrific. He keeps us informed about how things are going. He goes above and beyond, staying to make sure our flight gets back on time, taking garbage out knowing we won't get home till very late etc. Bernie, our dog, was clearly well taken care of as was the house. Andrew has taken care of Bernie many times for us. We know we can count on him”

“Fahad was wonderful with our two fur babies. He stayed in our home so they would be more comfortable. Fahad clearly has a love for animals and is a very kind person. I would highly recommend him and plan to have him stay with our dogs in the future.”

“Triin was so great with my golden retriever, Louis! Triin was so sweet and caring with him and loved spending time with him! Triin was so professional and flexible with timing as well and respectful of my home. I am definitely rebooking!”

“Haowen is the best! He took amazing care of our yellow lab, taking him for many long walks, playing frisbee, and cuddling with him on cold December nights. I know all this because he sent me dozens of pictures every day for the whole week he was at our house. He left the house in perfect condition and even watered the plants. He even emailed in the middle of the night when our lab had some leg pain. Highly recommended!”

“Alice is wonderful! Perfectly communicative, incredibly attentive to all details. I came home to a happy, relaxed cat and an impeccable home. We would love to have Alice come again any time!”

“We're so grateful to Melissa for taking such good care of our wonderful but neurotic dog Birdie! Melissa is communicative, responsible, and clearly loves dogs. We would have her to sit for Birdie again anytime.”

“Kristina is absolutely amazing. Truly. She stayed with my adult husky in my condo, and was just fantastic. Amazing updates, super kind and thoughtful. Highly recommended! Thank you, Kristina!!”

“Sydney was a wonderful pet sitter. She took great care of both our cat and dog and was attentive to all of their needs. We returned home to a spotless house, which was an added bonus. We hope to see Sydney again soon!”

“We had a great experience working with Arshneel for the first time while we were just away for two weeks. She was incredibly reliable and responsive and gave our large, energetic dog plenty of exercise time!”

“Mandy was great with our two dogs. She gave us very detailed updates about how they were doing and the things they did that day. She would take them on walks and a few other adventures as well and took plenty of pictures of them. She even went above and beyond by dehydrating a chicken breast so they could have chicken jerky! Definitely recommend and will be the first person I go to.”

“It being our first time using a sitter for our two catahoulas we were understandably nervous. Rachael made the whole process easy, stress-free and an overall great experience. The dogs had a great time and really got along well. Highly recommend!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Everett
I was apprehensive about leaving my 14+ year old corgi for a week and a half and have been avoiding traveling anywhere I can’t take her for the past couple years. I was so glad to find Lilia and she did a fantastic job. In our meet and greet, she asked many insightful and detailed questions about caring for Lexi, took detailed notes, and Lexi took to her very quickly. As Lexi is senior and has a few quirks, I would only have been comfortable leaving her with someone very experienced and capable in caring for animals, and that was clear from our initial meeting. Lexi had a FANTASTIC time while I was gone. I received daily updates with photos of Lexi on adventures and clearly having a great time. Lilia was also careful to ask me about anything that seemed out of the ordinary in Lexi’s behavior - mostly senior dog quirks I had forgotten to mention but it was reassuring that I certainly would have heard about anything more serious. Lilia was also extremely courteous when it came to my apartment. I am so grateful to Lilia for the excellent care she took of Lexi, allowing me to really travel for the first time in years. My only concern while traveling was that Lexi looked like she was having so much fun that she would be disappointed about me returning home! I will have to find another excuse to travel soon so Lexi can spend more time with her new friend.

As a first-time Rover user, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Tati was wonderful with communication and kept me updated throughout my trip, which really put my mind at ease. I came home to a clean house and happy, well-cared-for fur babies. I really appreciated how responsive and reassuring she was, and I wouldn't hesitate to book with her again! Thanks, Tati!

My wife and I have been searching for a cat sitter that we feel totally comfortable caring for our very needy cat while we are away, and we’ve finally found that in Anny! Got so many updates and our house looked the same when we returned as it did when we left. We’ve already booked with Anny for another upcoming vacation :)

She was excellent! We were extremely nervous getting a total stranger house sit and pet sit our anxious, pulling dog and our senior cat but it was immediately clear that they were both in the best of hands. They were both on their best behavior for her and arshneel was so responsive and responsible and really went above and beyond when our flight was delayed. Will definitely seek her out again if we need a pet sitter

Haowen and Yi did an amazing job sitting for my cats Wynston and Maya. Wynston in particular is 18 years old and requires a lot of special care, including a number of medications and extra hygiene considerations. Haowen and Yi were very detail oriented and sent me daily confirmation of all the important parts of their care, with lots of pictures. I was able to relax on my trip knowing they were well taken care of. I would definitely book again. Thanks so much Haowen and Yi!

We were new to Rover, and Katie is our first sitter. We met beforehand which I really appreciated and ended up booking for an international trip. It went so well - she was very responsive, shared photos and updates and I came to back to two very healthy and happy pups. Will definitely rebook with Katie as I trust her care.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Everett on Rover is $66.6 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Everett walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Everett maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Everett choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
