16. Hailey R.
About: Throughout my life, I've had the fantastic opportunity to share my home with a diverse array of pets. From cats and dogs to hamsters, bunnies, fish, and even a squirrel that made our backyard its home, my life has been filled with the joy and companionship of animals. One remarkable experience has been witnessing my Beagle, Dixie, give birth to three sizable litters of puppies. I lovingly devoted myself to caring for the puppies, ensuring they received the warmth, nourishment, and attention needed to thrive until they were ready to join new loving families. In addition to my experiences with dogs, I opened my heart and home to a pregnant street cat. I wholeheartedly embraced the responsibility of caring for her during this significant time in her life and was overjoyed to witness the arrival of her adorable kittens. It was a heartwarming experience to see each kitten find a loving family of their own. These experiences have filled my life with joy and fulfillment and deepened my understanding of the signs of distress in cats and dogs, allowing me to better care for and support them. I work as a full-time early learning educator from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays. I'm also available before or after work and on weekends! At my home, we have a cat and a dog. Our dog, Dixie, is a part of the family, and we all take turns walking and feeding her. She eats dry food twice daily in the morning and a mix of wet and dry food at dinner time. She's not a fan of water, but she enjoys going to the beach. Our cat, Finn, is very playful and eats twice a day. He loves to play with his bee toy, and I join in to keep him healthy and active.
17. Fatimah B.
“Our cats like Fatimah better than they like us. Fatimah has helped take care of our pets for years, and she's been extremely consistent, considerate, and reliable. She's patient with the cats even when they need medications but also savvy enough to get them to do what they need to. She keeps us updated when things are going well and lets us know immediately if there's ever an issue. Fatimah has been a key pillar of our family, furry members and all, and I am certain she'd be the same for anyone else's.”
