For extra peace of mind, I always encourage pet parents to use cameras if they’d like because that way you can see your pets happy and comfortable while you’re away. I also send regular updates, photos and videos so you can relax knowing your best friend is in loving hands. Just for extra reassurance, I don’t invite people into your home. The only time I ever have was for a family I’d been sitting for over many years, and I made sure to ask first—I only had my dad over for dinner because it was Thanksgiving during that stay. Aside from that, I would never invite friends or anyone else over, as I personally find that disrespectful.
“Lauren did a great job taking care of our two kitties! She came in a week before our scheduled visit to do a meet and greet with the cats. Lauren took great care of our cats. She sent lots of photos and a detail message of her visit. She was also helpful during our time away making sure our house was a good temperature for our kitties.
