Either energetic or chill, I have taken care of dogs of all sorts. I am a freelance artist and have plenty of time throughout the day for walks and visits as I chose my own hours. Any time 7am-4pm I am available. I’m have the upmost respect for the pets and owners. Rules, medication, walk distance, or any instructions will be done with care. The pets safety and care are the most important.
About: Welcome! I go by “Nancy!” 🐾🐈🦮 I’ve been around animals for as long as I can remember and have had pets for over 25 years. Caring for animals has always been a part of my daily life, not just a hobby. Over the years I’ve had different kinds of pets, and I currently have two budgies and a betta fish. I enjoy getting to know each animal’s personality and earning their trust at their own pace. I’m naturally attentive and tend to notice when something seems off or when a pet needs a little extra patience and care. I understand how much pets mean to their families, and I would care for yours the same way I care for my own. Animals have always been a part of my life. I’m currently a student chaplain, a full-time mom to two girls, and a pet mom to two budgies and a betta fish. Caring for animals is already part of my daily routine, and in my free time, I’d love the opportunity to spend time with and care for other pets. While I’m new to this platform offering dog walking services, I’m dependable, patient, and genuinely enjoy being around animals. 🐾 I treat every pet as if they were my own. I focus on safe, enjoyable walks, follow the owner’s instructions carefully, and make sure each pet receives the attention, exercise, and care they need. I also provide updates so owners know how their pet is doing.
“This was our first time using Rover and the experience could not have been better! Lauren met our hound/Australian cattle dog mix before the day we needed her. Cali liked her immediately and we felt comfortable with her caring for Cali. I originally booked a walk but when Cali was skittish about using her collar we decided to play it by ear and Lauren was great listening to her instincts with Cali. She could tell she was anxious about going out for a walk so Lauren sat with her in the yard and let her have an hour to just be outside which is Cali’s favorite. We got pictures and updates. She stopped by later to feed her and take her out. Her communication was great and we could not have been more relieved by how easy it was to spend the day away from home knowing Cali was being taken care of. I highly recommend Lauren. She was great!”

“Jodi was great. When we had to change the service last minute due to some construction at our house, she was very accommodating and came up with a great alternative solution.”

“Elizabeth was a responsible pet sitter. She was right on time for her visits with Luna. She always checked in with a photo and communicated well. We would have her back.”

“Anna was fantastic with our three cats. She checked in on them daily and gave them all the love we couldn’t. So many pictures of them made us so comfortable with being away because you always worry about your pets. Will for sure book again!”

“Julia was great! She sent the best pics of my kitty while I was away and he seemed to really enjoy her company during the drop-ins. No issues what so ever and will definitely be using her again!”

About: I’ve taken care of cats and dogs for friends and family all my life. I’m always a go to call for any of my friend’s pet needs due to my reliability and consistency. I’m a lover of all pets, cats and dogs alike. All animals deserve all the same love and care! I work in the construction trades Monday through Friday with time after my work days from 3pm to 10pm. My weekend availability is a lot more flexible so I would be able to do multiple visits during my the weekend. I have immense cat care throughout my years, in visits for feedings or check ins to cleaning litter boxes. For dogs, I would be able to go for walks, go for visits and check ins, and feedings as well. I am very good with all animals alike.
About: I’ve been a pet lover all my life. I was lucky enough to work in an Animal Hospital while I was in college and learned basic pet First Aid, and how to spot health issues with animals before they become a problem. I currently walk and pet sit dogs as small as 7lbs to my biggest client who is 135lbs. I’m semi retired and love spending time with animals, so walking and pet sitting has been great! I am flexible and have a good car that is reliable in all weather. I have two large pups at home ( Beau and Casey Jones), who stay home when I pet sit and walk dogs so that I can give my client’s pets my undivided attention.
“Victoria took great care of our cat for a week while we were on vacation. She sent lots of pictures and updates and you could tell he enjoyed her visits! He’s a shy cat so we were so happy to see he warmed up to her right away. Knowing Victoria was taking great care of our cat made our vacation even better!”

“Ashley came over to meet Pippa prior to the drop in visits. She’s so pleasant and has experience with rescue dogs. She follows up with pictures after each visit. I highly recommend her.”

“Maria has watched our cats on two occasions now and has done a great job each time! Hard to find with others- but she even cleans the area/litter around the litter boxes and just does a great job with everything -from actually swapping out to clean fresh bowls at each feeding. Cleanliness, and friendliness goes a long way! We are so grateful we found her. Not an easy task with 5 cats! I would recommend her to care for your animals, too.”

“Lauren did a great job taking care of our two kitties! She came in a week before our scheduled visit to do a meet and greet with the cats. Lauren took great care of our cats. She sent lots of photos and a detail message of her visit. She was also helpful during our time away making sure our house was a good temperature for our kitties. House was very clean and cats were well taken care of during our trip. Will definitely use Lauren in the future! :)”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Danvers
Leslie continues to do an amazing job with Deena and Lucy. She sends me great pictures and videos to give me confidence that they are being cared for and loved. This trip, I had a flight cancellation, which was frustrating, but the one thing I didn't worry about were the kitties. Thank you for being so amazing Leslie!

We hired Jamie based on her recommendations and repeated customers here on Rover. I was nervous to leave my two kitties, especially my elder cat who is chronically ill. Jamie was punctual and attentive to their needs, feeding, dispensing my calico’s meds, and spending time with both. She alleviated my fears by being in touch during visits, and the photos she sent assured me that they were in good hands. They seemed calm and happy, responding to her positively. My second cat is very shy, and her approach obviously was effective as her photos show him very chill. I recommend her highly.

Caden is our cats’ new favorite person! We have two cats Ollie and Oatey and they both have a little bit of different personalities; Caden catered to both. Oatey can be a little shy with new people and by the third or fourth day he was cuddling up on her lap. Ollie is more outgoing but doesn’t always engage with play (because his brother steals the show) and Caden brought her IPad for him to play with some mice games, which he appeared to love. Ollie isn’t a lap cat and by the end he was sitting in Caden's lap too. Caden was super thoughtful and attentive. She noticed when our litter robot was full and made sure to change it so our guys had fresh litter. She made sure the cats had fresh water during her visits. She gave us excellent updates and kept our cats happy while we were away. I could not have enjoyed my trip as much as I did without Caden being our sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
