“Booked Mirellys again and once again she was great. Chowder was thrilled to see her and came home tired and happy. Consistent, reliable, and clearly a favorite of his. Wouldn't book anyone else.”

About: I love being surrounded by animals and have been around pets my entire life. For a long time now, I’ve been rescuing lost dogs and helping them find safe, loving homes. Currently, I have three dogs and a cat at my country house, as well as a 10-year-old senior dog at home. One of my dogs in the countryside is partially blind, and I'm the one who takes care of his special needs. This has given me great hands-on experience with senior and special-needs pet care. Spanish is my native language, and my home is fully bilingual! My kids are completely fluent in English and are always here to help with communication for all booking details and updates. Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine because I am at home all day. My daily life revolves around taking care of my dog, maintaining our home, and waiting for my husband and children to return from work and school. Currently, my daughter is starting college this August, so I am looking for extra income to help pay for her tuition. This work is a perfect match for me because it naturally aligns with my everyday schedule, allowing me to give visiting pets full-time attention, love, and constant companionship. In my home, pets are treated like part of the family. Since I spend my entire day at home, your pet will have constant presence and attention, a safe outdoor space, quiet walks and specialized care experience.
“Ana Maria did a great job caring for my dog. She gave her extra attention, as my pup was having separation anxiety following a recent move. Ana has a calm nurturing way about her, and it's apparent she loves dogs. I will definitely use her services again!”

“Our dog Beebo had an amazing time at Jodi’s. She enjoyed running in her vast fenced backyard and playing with the other dogs of the house. Jodi is friendly, reliable and communicative. We won’t hesitate booking her again in the future.”

“Rosie is having so much fun with Brooke and Willow! Every picture Brooke sends shows Rosie looking happy as a clam and she’s super excited in the morning when she realizes she’s at Willow’s house. Thanks for wearing her out!!!”

“We have now left our boy with Jade a few times and Jade has been absolutely amazing with our pup! She is so caring and we know our boy is not the easiest, as loving as he is, and Jade always has good things to say which is all we can hope for! Thank you Jade. Looking forward to the next visit!”

“Blossom was cared for really well and got to play with multiple friends. Michelle communicated throughout the day and kep us informed on Blossom was doing. We will definitely go back to Michelle when we need care for Blossom.”

“Diaralyz and her family took such good care of our puppy! He got to interact and socialize properly and the best part was receiving pictures and videos of him playing and living his best life. We highly recommend Diaralyz and we will be coming again with our little dog.”

“Millie had the best time at Fae and Joseph's! Great dogs to play with and a set up with the safety and happiness of dogs in mind. Couldn't ask for anything more.”

“Natali took such great care of our 11 month old puppy during his first overnight stay away from home. She was patient, communicative, and kept us updated throughout the stay, which gave us so much peace of mind. Even though he was a little nervous from being in a new environment, she was incredibly understanding and attentive to his needs. We could tell he was well cared for and had a great time with Natali and Rocko. We’d absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter!”

About: I grew up with dogs and have almost always had one as an adult. I’m comfortable with all breed big and small and have trained many dogs, including stubborn pitties and enthusiastic goldens. I just adopted my foster pup Remy who is the best girl. I love dogs and will treat yours like they’re mine. I can’t wait to meet your pup and go for a frolic! I currently am unemployed and filling my days with walking pups and volunteering. My schedule if pretty flexible. I’m on a pretty standard schedule for wake up and walks. Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
