“Hyesun and her husband took great care of Daphne while we were away. They were communicative and send updates and photos. We were happy to know she was in caring hands!”

“Our dog Eevee had such a good time staying here and playing with Igo. Wonderful to get updates on how she was doing and to see that she had a great time and lots of fresh air in the fenced backyard! Thank you for following her feeding schedule, for grooming her and brushing her teeth and taking such good care of our girl 🤗”

“Great sitter, and treats my dog Widget like family! Extremely communicative, and has a sense of humor about my dog's quirks. Her big yard means my dog has plenty of space to romp around. Since I live in the city, it must feel like a vacation for him, too!”

“My dog is a big old baby requiring plenty of attention and TLC as well as timely walks and medications. He’s an old boy. He loved Liz and her place. Usually he has separation issues. Well he hardly noticed when we left and I’m pretty sure he was a little bit disappointed to come home. Great care for my dog.”
“Mirellys took great care of my Bailey. She was very friendly, knowledgeable, and provided lots of updates and pictures. Bailey loved her time with Mirellys and I would absolutely recommend her to watch your dog and would have her watch bailey again in the future.”

“Patricia was fabulous! She took incredible care of our pup like she was one of her own! When watching her during the heatwave Patricia made sure there was lots of fun things for her to do to cool off. She got to go swimming in the pool and played around in the splash pad. Patricia was great at keeping us updated and sent lots of photos and videos! Our pup can’t wait to go back!”

About: Hi there! My name is Sam and I am a dog lover looking for more dogs to love on. My husband Eric and I have a very sleepy Pyrenees who we are always looking to introduce to more friends! I love getting to hang with all types of dogs whether it’s walking, playing, or having them stay with us. I’ve cared for elderly dogs, puppies, and everything in between for the last 10 years. Can’t wait to meet you soon! Since covid, I am work from home most of the day and would love an extra furry friend or two to get me out of the house. Because I am work from home, I’m very flexible on walks, day cares, and much more! I love going to the dog parks around town and would be more than happy to take your baby there as well. We have a large fenced in yard to keep your fur baby busy. Not the athletic type? Great! We have a big couch and lots of comfy spots for them to laze around in.

“Tobi had the best time at Wendy’s! So thankful to have found a loving and safe home for him over the holidays. I know he is already counting down the days to be back playing in her huge fenced in yard with his new friends.”

“Sky is a shy but sweet dog. When we came to pick him up we could see his attachment to Cheryl. I knew she too great care of him. He had the bonus of play time with her two dogs. She is very responsive.”

“Our minidoodle Sam had a great stay with Charlotte and Jordan, and their dog Kyber. Two things we especially like: They generally just take one dog at a time (more attention, and Sam loves attention!), and they live near some great walking trails. Very nice people.”

About: I am a dog lover that just suffered a bad breakup and my ex got the dog. So I figure this is a good way to get over the four-legged void where my pooch used to be, get some exercise and make a little extra cash. If your pup needs a walk, a bathroom break, or a place to stay and play while you’re away…I’m your guy. I am self employed and I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule …Ideally I would like to find some regular clients that need me regularly. I am single and live alone in a medium sized apartment. My building is pet friendly and has a dog park. I will care for your pet as if they’re my own, while respecting your wishes, to ensure a happy healthy pooch.
“Our puppies had a great stay with Dominique! She and her husband and their wonderful dog Nala made our girls feel right at home. My husband and I agreed that we felt very comfortable leaving our puppies with them, and when we picked them up, they were exhausted! That’s my sign of a great stay. I would absolutely recommend Dominique, and we would definitely use her again if we’re in the area.”

About: I have always owned pets and cared for pets of family and friends. I adopted my dog in 2017 and worked hard with a trainer and have learned a lot about walking dogs and caring for dogs and am very cautious and confident walking dogs. I also have 3 senior dogs currently and am used to caring for seniors. I currently work part time and have two children. My job schedule is flexible and I often have gaps in my day and time to walk dogs. I can also do occasional overnights. I will respect and follow your safety reccomendations and needs for your dog. I am very diligent and organized and will be able to follow instructions and keep your dogs safe and happy!
“Lori did an amazing job taking care of my pup Yoshi. I received daily photos and videos and I could tell he was having the best time. It's so nice to know your pup is having fun while you are away.”

I cannot say enough good things about Ariane and her home! Cookie had the best time during her 2 week stay. Ariane and family are very caring and made sure Cookie was safe and happy. Cookie loved the fenced back yard as well. She also enjoyed being at Ariane’s with the other dogs. I highly recommend her and I know Cookie will be staying with her again in the future.

We used Sam to board our dog Mia for the first time recently, and she was absolutely amazing! We just adopted Mia two months ago (she’s a rescue from the south), so we were super nervous about leaving her for a week. At the dog hotel we used to use for our other pup, they literally charged us $4 per photo and we constantly had to beg them for updates. Sam was the exact opposite. Right from the meet-and-greet, she was so attentive and asked tons of questions to make sure she knew exactly how to give Mia the best care. While we were gone, she sent so many updates and pictures without us even having to ask, which gave us total peace of mind. She even handled Mia's allergy medication which was another concern of ours. Plus, her dog Poppy is the absolute cutest and friendliest pup ever! If want someone who will actually give you pup personal, hands-on love and attention, you need to book Sam.

Cooper had a fabulous vacation at Jodi’s! He absolutely loved playing with the other dogs, walking in the field and swimming in the doggie pool and reservoir! Jodi definitely knows how to care for dogs. Cooper was so happy and tired when we picked him up and we loved all the pictures and updates we received every day. Cooper can’t wait to go back! Thanks Jodi!

Lindsay was a great sitter for our dog Wellington. She provided pictures and updates regularly which made all the difference. We were traveling for 9 days out of the country and really appreciated her caring and thoughtful messages. It really was clear how much she cared for our dog and it was very much appreciated.

Dominique and her family were very accommodating. I was able to bring Hank (my dog) over to meet them to be sure it would be a good fit. She has a great yard! Her kids were so sweet and ready to help. They have a little dog Pumpkin who was very friendly and adorable. I don't think Pumpkin really enjoyed Hanks constant high energy, but she tolerated him. Dominique was a great communicator and sent me daily updates and pictures daily, which was so nice. If we get the chance to go on vacation again, I would definitely use her again. Hank seemed very happy and well cared for the whole time! Thanks Dominique

Samantha was unbelievably helpful, thoughtful and communicative taking care of our little guy Benny during our wedding weekend up on the North Shore. She absolutely went above and beyond for us during a special, and specially chaotic, weekend - allowing us to make memories with him on our special day while knowing he was well taken care of through the night. We couldn't have pulled it all off without her!

We had a great experience with Lisa caring for our dog, Copper, for 8 days. She kept him active and happy with trail hikes and beach trips, and sent daily photos and updates that gave us peace of mind. Lisa also handled his daily eye drops without any issues and was a clear, reliable communicator throughout. We’re so grateful for her care and would absolutely trust her with Copper again—highly recommend!

Cynthia was awesome with my doggy. She was caring and she kept me updated while we were away with photos and videos and messages. Her home looked lovely and clean. And her dog was friendly and a great playmate for my dog. He seems to have a great time and was calm and relaxed when I got him. I’d definitely book with Cynthia again! Thank you!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
