“We left our 3 year old overly-energetic lab mix with John for 9 days while we traveled across country. This was our first time using Rover and our first time leaving our dog with someone other than doggy day care/friends. We were able to arrange a meet and greet before Amber’s stay so she could meet him as well as his two beautiful/loving dogs. His house is tidy and clean and his backyard exceeded my expectations with a nice high fence and space for the dogs to run out their energy. All my anxiety and nervousness about leaving her were immediately gone after the meet and greet. During her 9 day stay, we received several photos a day and I could tell from her (my dog’s) expression that she was genuinely loved and cared for by John and enjoyed the company of his dogs. We kept in touch regularly and we plan on booking Amber for another stay with him today (we literally just landed). Highly recommend John’s services if you’re in the market for someone to care for your dog!”

Séamus, overall, is very thoughtful and thorough in his preparation and concern for your dog, and is an excellent communicator while you are away. Séamus is clearly a “dog person”, and it shows. There is a lovely, enclosed, safe backyard for your dog to play and stretch-legs, and, I honestly can say, …..I didn’t worry about my dog once. She was fantastic with communication, sending daily updates and pictures that gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Our dog happened to be going through one of her picky eating phases during our trip, and she went above and beyond to help. She tried different bowls, chopped up the turkey we had left as a topper and mixed it into her food, and was so patient and creative in trying to get her to eat. It was clear she genuinely cared about our dog’s well-being. She also took her on multiple walks each day and made sure she got plenty of attention and exercise. On top of that, she was incredibly accommodating with our drop-off and pick-up schedule, which made the entire experience stress-free. We couldn’t have asked for better care for our dog and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and attentive pet sitter!”
