“Our pup was happy in every picture & very excited but quickly calm when she got home, which to me says that she was happy to be home, but didn’t feel nervous at Aurora’s home! Aurora also was diligent to make sure our counter surfing, sneaky dog didn’t get human food during her stay. We will definitely book with Aurora again!”

“Vanessa boarded Syx for 6 days while we were out of the country and they were amazing through out this time. Syx is super anxious and clingy and they did a great job managing this. They provided daily updates in the morning and afternoon, with photos. They made us feel super comfortable and accommodated. They now have repeat customers and I would recommend them to anyone with an pup or cat who needs attentive care.”

“I cannot say enough good things about Ariane and her home! Cookie had the best time during her 2 week stay. Ariane and family are very caring and made sure Cookie was safe and happy. Cookie loved the fenced back yard as well. She also enjoyed being at Ariane’s with the other dogs. I highly recommend her and I know Cookie will be staying with her again in the future.”

“Chanel was incredible - my first time leaving my pup with someone other than family! My pup definitely gave her a run for her money with some weird behaviors but she was incredibly patient and communicative. Lots of updates, photos, and videos throughout the week. Will absolutely book again!!”

“Kerrin and Chris were amazing with our dog Lizzie—she had an absolute blast staying with them. They sent daily pictures, which gave us total peace of mind, and it was clear she was being cared for like part of their own family. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!”

“My dog loves staying with Rebeca and her family! They were able to accommodate a last minute change to the drop off time. I can tell my dog is treated like part of the family and receives great care! We look forward to booking with her again”

“Jennifer is the best that could have happened to our puppy. She is incredibly caring, attentive and responsible. She was constantly in touch with us and sent photos. She treated everything the puppy needed with understanding and great attention. Highly recommend Jennifer for your dog.”

About: As someone who has cared for the elderly and people with disabilities, I have found that my gentle demeanor also works with animals as well. Currently, I have no pets of my own (hopefully I will get one by next year), but I am a happy dog aunty to a toy poodle named Ruby who I dog sit frequently. I realized from a young age that animals usually gravitate towards me, and my priority is to always make sure these animals feel safe with me as well. As a dog walker/dog sitter I want animals parents to feel rest assured that their furry babies are in for a safe, fun time. My apartment area is spacious as well, and my neighborhood complex has all the safe space for your pets to roam wild. I also have a pet jungle gym here as well for them to use their excess energy. I work from home as a Data analyst so my hours are very flexible. This give me extra time to keep an eye on all the needs of the dogs I take care of. I also have pee pads as well as a small doggy bed in case you’re furry baby is feeling sleepy. Outside, my complex is quite big, allowing your pet ample space to roam wild. We also have a dog playpen/ jungle gym as well that I’m sure they will love.
“Will definitely board with Nola and Damian again! From the meet and greet to picking our dog up, they were very easy to communicate with and took great care of Bori.”

“Our dog really enjoyed Rachel! She was great at sending us multiple pictures of our dog throughout the day and letting us know how our dog was doing. We will definitely leave our dog with her next time we are out of town.”
“Jasmine was wonderful with my dog, Kane. Shared pictures and videos daily how Kane was acclimating to his new environment. Will book for my next travel without a doubt. Thanks Jasmine and family!”

“I am always nervous to leave my dog, but Marta immediately put me at ease. She was great with my dog and very sweet and attentive to him. She gave me lots of picture and video updates so I could rest assured he was in good hands. Thank you Marta !”

“Linda was fantastic! She communicated at least twice daily with pictures and responded promptly to any message I sent her. Rosie was well taken care of and pampered just like she is at home.”

“10/10! When I drop off my pup with Valeri, I know he will be happy. He's become best friend with Valeri's dog, Lexi, and as soon as we pull up to her house he is excited to play. Valeri is great about updating me, both in terms of sending cute photos as well as letting me know about any behavioral changes she picks up on. I deeply appreciate this care and attention to detail!”

“Bella always looks forward to staying with Rob and his family. She is happy with the home environment, and likes her walks and having a few other dogs there to make friends with. Thanks, Rob!”

“Rachel was great! It was Harley’s first time staying with a new sitter and he can be unpredictable, but Rachel was reassuring and positive about watching Harley and that helped ease my anxiety! She was communicative, sent pictures and did a great job with giving Harley his meds that he is sometimes fussy about. Very happy to have a new reliable dog sitter to add to my rotation!”

“Hello. This is a first-rate, dog care experience, folks. Séamus hosted my dog for a brief meet-&-greet prior to his stay, which was successful and excellent. Séamus, overall, is very thoughtful and thorough in his preparation and concern for your dog, and is an excellent communicator while you are away. Séamus is clearly a “dog person”, and it shows. There is a lovely, enclosed, safe backyard for your dog to play and stretch-legs, and, I honestly can say, …..I didn’t worry about my dog once. I received photos of my dog and also received updates periodically while I was away. Excellent service! Charlie came home happy, healthy, rested and in great spirits! A+ Thank you, Séamus”

“Paula is a life saver! She is very flexible with time, accommodating and is always ready to help what makes the life so much easier! I am sure my pup has a great time staying with her and will definitely book again when I need to leave the town! Thank you Paula for your great help!”
“Could not recommend Steven enough!! Sooty was well looked after during the Christmas period and she had a great time playing with Milo! Would definitely use again! Thanks again!”

“Ana Maria was great with my puppy. She was very caring and understanding of my puppy separation anxiety, and also she was flexible with my last minute schedule change. She was truly a blessing during our trip to MA and I am looking forward to come back to MA to visit my daughter and booking with Ana Maria again. 😊”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lynn
This was my first time in the whole 14 years that I’ve left my dogs with a stranger. Gienna never felt like a stranger from the moment I met her. She immediately made me feel safe leaving my kids for an entire week. She sent me updates multiple times a day without prompting. I never had to worry what they were doing. She even finished off some antibiotics with one of my guys. They came home absolutely spoiled. I will absolutely use Gienna again in the future and I would 100% recommend her to anyone (except that means she fills up quickly-totally worth booking early!)
Tatiana accomplished an exceptional feat of caring for our elderly dog who had a lot going on while he was being cared for so graciously in her home. There were plenty of medical care issues that she navigated beautifully making it possible for us to have a relaxing Christmas trip. Our dog had the best Christmas too. Wonderful, thoughtful, skilled care. Our dog is so fortunate. Thank you Tatiana!

I rebooked with Karleen because she is so caring so informative while you are away. She Kees in constant communication with you about your fur baby. her spirit made me comfortable enough to leave Chico with her for a second. I will always rebook with Karleen as long as she has the availability.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
