“Lori, kept our dog for the second time, for a whole week, he had a great time, and she kept us updated with pictures every day. We look forward to having kodah board with Lori for our next trip.”

“Nola and Damian were so great! This was our first time using Rover and we were a little hesitant about leaving Toki with someone new. However, they made us feel super comfortable and clearly took great care of her during our time away.”

“Karoll was great with our Luna. It was her first time taking her of her and we received many pictures from her. Luna definitely had a great time and we will certainly book with Karoll in the future. Her house is also conveniently located.”

“I have never felt more at ease and comfortable leaving our dog Wallace. He was taken care of so well and we brought him home happy and tired. Radka was extremely communicative and we would 100% ask her again to watch Wallace!”

“Lindsey was amazing with my dog! She was caring and attentive, I could tell my dog felt comfortable and happy with her. It gave me such peace of mind knowing he was in great hands. I highly recommend Lindsey to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and loving to care for their pet.”

“Ilsa is a great dog sitter! She sent me tons of cute pics and videos of my dog during his stay. She lives in a great neighborhood with a yard which I know my dog loved. I would absolutely recommend her services and definitely book with her again!”

“Haowen took excellent care of Bandit. He sent frequent updates and when Bandit was reluctant to eat went out to get peanut butter to mix into his food. He also went to get a ball so Bandit could do his favorite activity of playing fetch. When it was time to get Bandit he was excited to see his mom and dad but then went back to Haowen to say goodbye, which is Bandit's way of saying thank you. Bandit gives a 5 PAWS rating and hopes he can visit again soon”

“Miley stayed with Aurora for 4 nights while I was away on a vacation. Her pup Madi and Miley became BFF’s. She sent regular updates and she was very prompt and quick responding to my texts. Miley is my daughter and I’m very nervous leaving her at someone’s place. But Aurora did a a great job taking care of Miley and treated her like her own pup. I would definitely like Miley to have her next vacation at her place. Adding to this their pup Madi is a wonderful dog very friendly.”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life, and caring for them isn’t just something I enjoy, it’s who I am. Back home in Ecuador, my two dogs, Pepper (a Jack Russell) and Pinky (a Senior Chihuahua), along with Mi Niño (my rescued cat), are truly my whole world. Being away from them now while living in Boston has only made me realize how much joy and purpose animals bring into my life. I grew up with not one, not two, but three Jack Russells, so if you know the breed, you know they’re full of energy and personality. That means I come with plenty of real, hands on experience, patience, and the ability to handle even the most active pups. I am currently a Psychology student in Boston and a Intern at Boston Children’s Hospital, where I work on the HBCD Study. I have a very flexible schedule, which allows me to accommodate a variety of pet care needs throughout the week. Right now, I live in an apartment in Seaport and nothing would make me happier than having the chance to care for, support, and give attention to pets who need it. Whether it’s playtime, walks, cuddles, or simply keeping them company, I’ll treat your pet as if they were my own. I have a very flexible schedule and am available all day on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, I am available after 4:00 PM. I do my best to accommodate each pet owner's needs and am happy to discuss scheduling options to find what works best for you and your pet! In my care, I make sure pets feel comfortable and secure by following their normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any specific instructions from the owner. I take time to understand each pet’s personality, energy level, and boundaries so I can adapt my care to what makes them feel safest and happiest. In a client’s home, I am very respectful of the space and keep everything clean and organized. I make sure doors and windows are secure, follow all safety instructions carefully, and always keep a close eye on the pet to prevent any accidents or stressful situations.
“Ana is simply amazing! She watched Lucy for almost two weeks while I was in Europe and I know Lucy was well taken care of. Her rates are reasonable and she loves Lucy as much as I do. Thank you Ana!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Winthrop
Monica was an amazing dog sitter! She sent lots of updates and pictures so I could see how well my little anxious dog was doing with them from the very first day through the entire eight day stay for my senior schnauzer poodle with terrible separation anxiety. She was the perfect dog sitter for my pup, she kept her entertained and busy so she didn't even cry when I left her there! I got to actually enjoy my vacation, and do things I've been looking forward to without my dog, all while knowing my little love was in the best hands. My review for Monica would have to highlight her reliability, the warmth in her home she provided for my dog, and her professionalism. I will absolutely be using Monica for my dog sitting needs in the future.

Symonne was fantastic! She was reliable, communicative, and took excellent care of my cat while I was away. I received regular updates and photos, which gave me peace of mind. My cat was happy, and clearly well cared for when I returned. I would definitely book with her again and highly recommend her services! -AC

Kiara was super nice and communicative with me before and during my pups stay with her. She walked him a lot and had a yard he could run and lay in which he loved! My dog is anxious and has separation anxiety but he went with her with no issues or hesitation. All of the pictures she sent of him, he seemed happy calm and relaxed which definitely put my worries at ease. 10/10 recommend Kiara!!

Lindsey spent the week with my 5 month puppy. Lindsey immediately made Fredrick feel at home, and they had the best time together. Lindsey provided the best care for my little guy, they did all sorts of activities together, and I got photo updates regularly! I am so thankful for Lindsey and recommend her to all other pet owners. I will definitely reach out to Lindsey next time I need care! Thanks so much !!

Our dog stayed with Radka for two weeks. She was excellent at keeping in touch, sending us daily pictures and detailed accounts of his day. She also checked in regularly about his eating and pooping issues and was very responsive and dedicated to his well-being. I know she not only met his basic needs but also provided him with lots of love and attention, which is really what he needs. It really felt like he was on vacation, too - what a relief! We are so grateful for all the care and thought she put into this and we will for sure ask gor her help watching Pumpkin again.

Maylis took great care of my dog. She was very communicative throughout her time pet sitting and sent daily pictures as well. My dog seemed comfortable in his pictures and happy when I picked him up. Maylis also informed me of his seasonal allergies kicking in towards the end of his stay with her. I would recommend her to anyone!

As always, working with Kayla was seamless and an absolute pleasure! We love to travel but hate leaving our pup, so it is wonderful to know that he is happy and well cared for while we are away. He gets walks, treats, and lots of snuggle time, and loves playing with her sweet dog. Thanks so much, Kayla!

Colleen and Kevin were amazing. This was our first time using Rover and they exceeded all expectations. They showed our dog, Milo, the love and attention he needs while also advocating for him when another guest was all over him. They kept us updated at all times with photos and videos and showed genuine love and care for Milo. 10/10 would recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
