“Elizabeth and Rodrigo took amazing care of our dog while we were away for 6 days. He’s getting older and can be a little anxious, but he was totally comfortable in their home. They sent us tons of photos too, which we loved since we missed him. I’d absolutely recommend them as dog sitters.”

“Vanessa and her partner took great care of my little Mochi for a week and half. They went above and beyond what i would expect from any dog sitter. They made sure to exercise Mochi multiple times a day. They also taught my little one new tricks! Truly amazing. I had also left Mochi with a set of new treats I was hoping she would enjoy. Unbeknownst to all of us, Mochi ended up getting some diarrhea from those treats. Luckily, Vanessa was able to weed out the culprit very quickly, allowing Mochi to regain her appetite after discarding the treats. Vanessa made sure to send me plenty pictures and videos of my little one. Mochi felt right at home with them. I can't stress enough what a blessing it has been to have Vanessa take care of my little one in my absence. :D”

About: New to Rover but not new to pet care! I’m the first person my neighbors, friends, and relatives will call to care for their dogs and cats for the last 4 years. My priority is making sure your pet is comfortable and safe at all times- and has lots of fun! I have a Cavapoo named Miski who is the sweetest and loves meeting humans, dogs, and cats! I call myself a stay-at-home dog mom because my work day revolves around my dog and the pets I take care of. This means your pet will receive plenty of attention, cuddles, and exercise. I enjoy frequent beach walks and enjoy them even more when I have a furry friend (or two) with me. I do not have a yard but I will walk your dog every 2-4 hours. I have a seperate room where dogs can use a pee pad if they want to. While boarding, your dog will stay with my 30lb Cavapoo in my home, she is very friendly and loves meeting new dogs!
“My dog was so excited to go back to Todd’s for an overnight stay. He had the best time whenever he goes there, gets plenty of walks, lots of attention, and comes home such a happy camper. Todd is a trusted sitter for us and I will continue to book with him whenever I need somewhere for my dog to stay!”

“Tiffany did a great job watching our older dog, Jack for four days. She is very thorough, was great at communicating and sent daily updates and photos. And most importantly, when we went to pick him up, Jack was happy and healthy and seemed to have really enjoyed spending time with the other dogs. It's clear that Tiffany is passionate about caring for animals, and we'll definitely use her services again in the future.”

“Maryah did a great job taking care of Alfie. She was quick to respond to my messages and provided me updates on Alfie. When I went to pick up Alfie, I could see he was very well taken care of. Thank you, Maryah!”

“Zelun was so good with our dog. We will definitely be using zelun in the future. He sent lots of photos and had great communication. He also brought Iggy on many adventures each day like the park and nice walks!”

“Geraldine and her family were lovely. I felt totally safe leaving my dog with them over Christmas break. They sent photos of Monza snuggling in blankets and looking generally comfortable. They were super accommodating when I picked up my dog a day early. They were actually really sad to see him go. I would totally use Geraldine again.”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Carlos is hands down the best dog sitter we’ve ever had. He took incredible care of Rex, treated him like part of his own family, and made sure he was happy, loved, and well-exercised throughout the holiday. Carlos took Rex on regular walks in the park, kept us updated, and clearly went above and beyond. It gave us total peace of mind knowing Rex was in such great hands. We couldn’t recommend Carlos more highly and will absolutely be booking with him again!”

“Yan was a great first dog sitter for our lab puppy Nori. Yan sent lots of pictures, and Nori even came back with better leash manners! It was my first time using rover and I couldn’t have had a better introduction than working with Yan. 100% recommend.”

“Milo loves playing with other dogs when he visits and peppers loves all the special attention! Natasha and Jonathan really treat the pups as their own and send so many great photos and videos!”

“Patrick is so helpful and accommodating! He accepted my urgent booking with just one day's notice and really helped to solve my issue. Pamela was well taken care of and happy when I returned. I couldn't be more grateful for Patrick's flexibility and excellent care. Highly recommended!”

“Michelle took exceptional care of my very nervous and anxious dog. I received daily pictures and updates while I was away letting me know how my pup was doing. Would absolutely book Michelle again!”

“Kiara took great care of our golden retriever while we were away on vacation! She was so accommodating to our puppy and took great care of him! And he’s not the easiest dog as he’s very high energy! She did such a great job, couldn’t recommend enough! Theodore was very happy and enjoyed his stay!”

“I would 1000% recommend Linda to anyone who’s looking for someone to watch their pup! She sent lots of updates and pictures during Beau’s stay and she is always very quick to respond. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Revere
Weronikka and her husband took care of my dog for five days and did an amazing job. I had never met her or even spoken to her on the phone, before, so I was pretty nervous. But even before I left on my trip, she made me feel comfortable. Her constantly positive communication gave me confidence that I had left my baby with the right person. I will definitely ask her to take care of Herbie again.

Sunny was amazing with Roxie. She is elderly and he was ready to take on the challenge that comes with caring for an older dog. Sunny’s communication throughout Roxie’s stay was excellent. He sent a ton of pictures so we could see how she was doing and reached out when he had questions or concerns. My daughter loved getting pictures throughout the day and it helped her miss Roxie a little less.

Ayfer was amazing with my kitty Momo! My cat is nervous and shy in new environments, but I could tell from the photos and videos that she was comfortable during her stay. Momo stayed with Ayfer for 6 nights and I received so much communication/photos. I felt so at ease during my trip!

Marianna was great watching my pup! She was very responsive when coordinating drop off and pick up. She also sent me photos a few time a day of different activities - napping, walking, playing, and meal time. I really appreciate Marianna opening her home to my pup and the amazing care she gave him. If I need anyone to watch my pup while I’m away, I will certainly reach out to her again. I definitely recommend to anyone looking for a reliable and caring person for boarding or daycare 🙂

Federica was amazing! She kept me updated on how Xena was doing with both photos and videos just about every day. She was even accommodating to Xena, creating a space for her when it became clear that Xena wanted a place to hide when able. Overall, very happy with the service, and I'll be keeping her in mind for future bookings if needed!

Patti is an absolute gem! She took amazing care of our pup - from taking him on hikes, to giving him shredded chicken to make sure he was eating enough, to letting him curl up in bed next to her, we know he had an amazing time while we were away. We will certainly use her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
