“Zwany and Leandro were AMAZING! This was my first rover experience + first time leaving my baby anywhere except with her aunt, and it so so so great. I expected to be stressed out and worried the whole time but Zwany and Leandro made the whole experience so easy and stress free. I knew Maple was in good hands the whole time and got regular updates and cute pictures (as requested) which helped me so much with my own separation anxiety. I’m pretty sure Maple didn’t even wanna come home she was having so much fun with them and with Blu! 10000% will be booking with them again.”

“Elliot is an excellent caregiver to our dog Lainey. She has a good mix of fun activities and downtime during her stays. Elliot provides daily photo and video updates of Lainey that are sweet reminders of our girl. Can’t recommend Elliot enough!”

“I think my dog likes Liz more than me! He was happy to see me again and to come home, but if he could have, he would have moved her and her place in next door to us. Liz is gentle, picks up on important cues from the dogs, is thorough and just great. There was a complication in our premade arrangements with another sitter the night before we were scheduled to fly out of the country that could have ruined our 2 week honeymoon in Japan. Liz really stepped up for Rover and for us. She’s the very best.”
“Lori took great care of our 8 month old pup! She was super responsive and sent lots of pictures & updates. It was so nice having peace of mind knowing Maya was being well cared for while we were away!”

“Patricia was fabulous! She took incredible care of our pup like she was one of her own! When watching her during the heatwave Patricia made sure there was lots of fun things for her to do to cool off. She got to go swimming in the pool and played around in the splash pad. Patricia was great at keeping us updated and sent lots of photos and videos! Our pup can’t wait to go back!”

“Paula was excellent. My beagle was right at home and clearly had a lot of fun. Paula was responsive and took excellent care of Darwin. We will definitely be visiting Paula again!”

“Jhoanna took care of Olive like she was her own! I got tons of updates and quick responses that reassured me Olive was in the best hands possible. I’d use Jhoanna any time again in the future.”

“We’ve never tried Rover before, and as new MA residents navigating our way, our neighbor recommended Akhil to us for Beau’s boarding needs. He was so frightened at his last doggie daycare, but we decided to give them a try. Beau was having the time of his life! I could tell from all the pictures and videos they’ve sent to us. I felt secure knowing that my Beau was in good hands while I was away for a short time. He received all the love, brush, and cuddles. I could just tell because he was so relaxed when I took him back home with me. Thank you, Akhil and family, for letting Beau be a part of your family!”

“She sent me pictures and videos of my baby throughout the day. She also helped him learn to potty on a pee pad. I haven’t been able to. She dresses Hank in clothes that were so adorable. Definitely made an impression on me and Hank.”

About: I have always owned pets and cared for pets of family and friends. I adopted my dog in 2017 and worked hard with a trainer and have learned a lot about walking dogs and caring for dogs and am very cautious and confident walking dogs. I also have 3 senior dogs currently and am used to caring for seniors. I currently work part time and have two children. My job schedule is flexible and I often have gaps in my day and time to walk dogs. I can also do occasional overnights. I will respect and follow your safety reccomendations and needs for your dog. I am very diligent and organized and will be able to follow instructions and keep your dogs safe and happy!
“Lindsay is so friendly and truly cares about the well-being of the animals she cares for. She went above and beyond to ensure our anxious pup gets the extra care she needs. I would highly recommend her. It's so comforting knowing your fur baby is in good hands!”

“Cheryl took amazing care of my disabled senior dog with multiple health issues and went above and beyond while I was away. She carefully followed all of my instructions, made sure medications were given properly, and gave my dog so much love, attention, and comfort. Her updates gave me real peace of mind, and I felt so reassured knowing my dog was in such caring and capable hands! I’m incredibly grateful and would absolutely book with her again.”

“AnnMarie was absolutely fantastic with our dog Manya. She settled in nicely and from the pictures we received we could see she was very happy and comfortable. Communication from AnnMarie was consistent both leading up to and during the stay. We will happily book again with her next time we need someone to watch Manya in the area.”

“Julia is fantastic with my dog! We are a multiple repeat customer, he always has the best time staying with her and is excited to get inside when I bring him for a stay. We will continue to use Julia again!!”

“Marian and her family are fantastic!! My dog slept in bed with her son and was quickly bonded with the family. Highly recommend- particularly for longer travel. I had nothing to worry about!!”

“We were so nervous about leaving our dog since the first time we adopted him but Chanel put us at ease with a couple meet and greets. She proactively sent updates throughout the weekend and Milo seemed like a happy and safe pup. We look forward to having Chanel care for our fur baby again.”

“Charlee had a great time with Lisa and other dogs. When we arrived Charlee immediately sensed she was kind and walked up to her wagging his tail. Lisa took Charlee on just a few days before our trip as another sitter fell through. I highly recommend Lisa!”

“Jen and her family took such great care of our very energetic puppy shadow. We got picture updates and she responded quickly whenever I checked in. Shadow is excited to stay with them again in September :)”

I wish I could give more stars. Mirellys did an incredible job taking care of our little Toni during our wedding weekend! Toni had never stayed with anyone outside of our family before, and Mirellys did an amazing job meeting Toni where she was at and letting her warm up slowly. Mirellys sent tons of photos, and was very good about keeping us updated. Mirellys was kind enough to uber with Toni to our wedding to walk in the ceremony and mind her during the cocktail hour. She did a great job making our big day go seamlessly so we could have our Toni there. I would 1000% recommend Mirellys to anyone looking for a dog sitter.

Hyesun and Robert are fantastic. We will definitely use them again whenever our dogs need someplace to stay. They had multiple walks each day. Lots of playtime even had another dog that stayed there that our youngest dog is now best friends with. Lots of photos to keep us updated which we really appreciated. Highest recommendation for very very happy puppies.

Kyli and Scott were amazing! Our dog had so much love, attention, adventure, and care. He didn't want to leave! They took him to the beach, played with him with their giant bucket of toys, and sent lots of great pictures that are probably going to end up on his instagram. They were extremely responsive, and while our dog Kyle usually doesn't eat much when in a new environment, was actually eating his kibble more than at home! Would give more than 5 stars if I could.

Charlotte is the best! I’d never left my anxious, yappy little old dog with anyone before, but Charlotte took a chance on her and gave her amazing care. She was patient, kind, and made sure my pup felt safe and loved the whole time. I got regular updates and came home to a happy dog — which is saying a lot! I can’t recommend her enough.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
