“Caitlin was an amazing pet sitter for our cat, Sienna. She consistently communicated with us, sending updates and pictures throughout her stay. Caitlin actively played with Sienna and went above and beyond to meet her specific needs. Sienna is very particular about how she drinks water and eats, and Caitlin made sure to accommodate her fully. We highly recommend Caitlin’s services! If you’re ever in need of a responsible and attentive pet sitter, Caitlin is the perfect choice. We couldn’t be more satisfied!”

About: I love dogs, all dogs and cats. I've been a pet owner my entire life. As an adult I have had several pets, they are adventure dogs. Outdoors, hiking, playing at the beach, lots of love, I've been hired several times as a pet masseur. I'm a trainer, all about health and wellness. So I take excellent care of pets no matter if they are mine or not! I have lot of love and patience. So puppies I'm used to training, and up to senior dogs too. Being a trainer makes it easy to take care of pets. My schedule is by the hour and i make my own schedule so this is perfect to fit into what i'm currently doing now. I will easily follow your lead as to what's best for your pet. I can crate them, watch them outside, honestly it depends on the pets needs. I also hav e a 4 door honda element that I bought specifically for my big dogs, so I have lots of room and safe environment for the dogs when it comes to travel if requested.
“Paloma was on time for every visit with my kitty! Making sure that she was seen twice a day for her medicine and food. When my cat was difficult about taking her pill, Paloma found a great workaround to get her to take it. She sent many pictures after each visit and spent their time doing what my cat wanted in that moment. I would highly recommend Paloma! I can home to a happy and healthy kitty.”

About: I’m a pre-vet student at the University of Maine Open to working with all types of pets Dedicated to providing a safe, comforting presence for your pets whenever you need I’m currently on summer break so I’m around all day to take care of your beloved companions. I’m open to weekends, weekdays, or whenever you need! I provide a safe environment through constant interactions with your pets. I believe getting them used to your presence is the most valuable part of creating a positive relationship.
About: I first discovered my passion for animal care in fifth grade when I brought home and later adopted my class pet, Spot, an anole lizard who remained with our family for two years. Since then, I have continued developing hands-on experience caring for animals, including working with reactive dogs. During the pandemic, my family adopted our dog Henry, and through that experience I gained valuable insight into supporting dogs with anxiety and learning effective, patient approaches to behavioral management. I currently have full availability for the summer and am flexible in accommodating a wide range of pet care needs, including daytime, evening, and weekend care. I prioritize clear and consistent communication with pet owners to ensure I fully understand each pet’s individual needs and routine. My goal is to provide attentive, reliable care and make sure every pet is safe, comfortable, and receiving the highest quality care possible.
About: Hi, I’m Madelyn! I’ve been petsitting here on Rover and for local friends and neighbors for the past 7 years now. As well as dogs and cats, I also have a lot of experience with ferrets, lizards, bunnies, backyard animals, fish, and pet birds! Over the past 7 years of housesitting in Marblehead, as well as my childhood years spent on a farm and surrounded by a variety of animals, I have gained a lot of experience and skill, when it comes to working with and connecting with animals. Currently I work with a few families on an as needed basis as a family organizer and infant babysitter. My schedule is flexible, and I don’t work many hours at a time. Petsitting and dogwalking is my main priority and I’m grateful I am able to schedule any other bookings around my schedule. Housesitting: I use your home as my “home base” meaning I will sleep and spend any downtime in your home. This does not mean I will be at your home 24/7. Walks: When walking, I will provide your pup with a 30 or 60 min walk around your neighborhood. I’d be happy to collaborate with local doggy friends for group walks as well! Drop-ins: If you are going away and leaving your little friends home alone, I am available to stop in to provide food, water, potty breaks/cleanups, and lots of cuddles!
“Katie was great with our 2 yr old German Shepard for a first walk. She was prompt, professional, and Betty really did well with her. Katie is now our go- to dog walker!”

“Was able to fit me in within a week and took care of my dogs well when I was out. Was communicative especially when I was working a large event and couldn’t get back to him.”

“Isabella was great! Even my shy guy fraidy cat hung out with her and absolutely loved her. She took great care of our pets and our home while we were away and provided timely updates as promised to help us miss our babies slightly less. Would absolutely hire again and recommend to others.”

About: I love making friends with new animals! I have lived with, house sat, and taken care of cats and dogs. No worries if your animal isn't the friendliest with other animals or people, I have experience with that too and can handle it. I'm really looking forward to a wonderful opportunity to learn about all the different animal breeds out there and experience all your animals best qualities! I have a lot of free time right now as I am between life chapters. Pet care fits in perfectly with my active lifestyle and desire to take care and hang out with animals! I am used to working with scheduled meal times and administering medication if necessary. Long walks (or runs if you want!) with special attention to animal interactions, friendly or unfriendly. Any information you have for what your animal likes to do, I can do!

Caitlin was fantastic! She was able to accommodate a very last minute request and even squeeze in a meet and greet first. She sent loads of pictures of my cat, and feels genuinely invested in animals care and well-being. Excellent and quick communication all along, as well. I can't wait to use her again!

Brianne took care of my cat for two weeks with drop-in visits and did a great job. She fed her, gave her medication, scooped the litter, and made sure she got some playtime and attention. She even took our trash out. It was such a relief knowing our cat was being looked after so well while we were away. I didn’t have to worry, and that meant everything. I’d absolutely book Brianne again.

Sarah has cat sit for me many times before. This time I was leaving in a hurry with a lot of personal stuff going on, and didn’t have time to prepare for her as much as I usually do. She totally had it covered, and picked up all the slack to make sure my cat was cared for really well! I am so grateful to have her.

Ida was a great sitter!! She checked in on every visit, kept me updated throughout my time away, was on time, punctual and took great care of my cat, Gia. She was also able to administer medications and kept me in the loop with my cats health issues. I would recommend her to anyone needing a cat sitter and will definitely book with her again!

Leslie was wonderful caring for our two senior cats while we were away. Each cat has a distinct personality - one is shy and timid while the other is gregarious and outgoing. The daily briefings and multiple photos Leslie provided for each visit ( 2 daily) assured us they were being visited / fed as scheduled, scooped and played with. She also doesn't mind inhome security cameras which is important to us for checking on our seniors. It was a great feeling to travel without worry, we most definitely will be calling Leslie for future needs.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
