“Elizabeth is so thoughtful and kind. She has listened to everything about my dog’s needs and has truly provided great care for her. She asks questions and is very understanding of how every dog is unique. You can tell she does this for her love for dogs and it truly shows. I look forward to Elizabeth taking care of Marley in the future!”

“Keelyn is really just the sweetest and most understanding sitter I’ve ever worked with. She’s attentive, caring and patient with our cat who’s shy of strangers. 1000/ 10 stars! Will definitely want to work with her again in the future!”

“So happy to have found Katie! Has great experience with animals, and my dogs warmed up to her right away. Punctual, responsive, and gave me detailed updates while we were away. Thank you!”

“Caitlin was fantastic! She was able to accommodate a very last minute request and even squeeze in a meet and greet first. She sent loads of pictures of my cat, and feels genuinely invested in animals care and well-being. Excellent and quick communication all along, as well. I can't wait to use her again!”

“Laurie did an awesome job watching Ziggy while we were away. He looked like he was having an amazing time every time Laurie stopped by and took pictures of him. Highly recommend and we will definitely be using Laurie again!”
“Paloma was on time for every visit with my kitty! Making sure that she was seen twice a day for her medicine and food. When my cat was difficult about taking her pill, Paloma found a great workaround to get her to take it. She sent many pictures after each visit and spent their time doing what my cat wanted in that moment. I would highly recommend Paloma! I can home to a happy and healthy kitty.”

“Maggie is great with Vinny and takes care to give him the attention he needs while his Mom is away. Thankful to have someone I can trust with my fyr-baby! She is also so flexible and accommodating with my busy travel schedule. Don't know what I'd do without her!”

About: Have two of my own fur babies (said babies are 10 years old lol) but have experience with dogs all ages. Whether your dog wants to chill or play lots of tug of war, I’ll meet them where they’re at! I’m comfortable with different personalities getting to know each dog :-) Taking care of pets is just part of my everyday life. I’ve got two dogs of my own. Daily life includes feeding, playing and talking to them like they understand English. On a weekly basis, I’m used to handling baths, brushing, cleaning up messes (because, dogs). I care for pets in their own space where they feel comfy. I stick to their usual routine. I treat your home with care and keep you updated with check ins
“Was able to fit me in within a week and took care of my dogs well when I was out. Was communicative especially when I was working a large event and couldn’t get back to him.”

“Ely was absolutely fantastic and very consistent. She checked in regularly and Fidget took to her almost immediately. I received daily updates with wonderful pictures of Fidget while I was away, and I knew he was being very well taken care of. Ely did in-home visits and took care to lock my doors and made sure the house was okay as well while I was gone. I will absolutely be requesting her services again the next time I take a long-term vacation.”

About: I grew up with dogs and have had the wonderful experience of caring for/watching dogs ranging from puppies to elder dogs. Friends and family have relied on me to check-in, dog sit, walk, play, and feed their dogs. They have trusted me with their pets without constraints. I’m currently working full time so this would be on a part time basis. However, my flexibility of WFH, allows me extra time for your pups! Ensuring your pets are comfortable with new faces is the most important. Routines, favorite toys, and time outside are my favorite things to help keep the dogs happy!
“Lauren did an incredible job winning over our difficult cat! She was persistent and gave him plenty of attention and thoughtful care. We really appreciated the detailed updates and pictures!”

“Mackenzie did a very nice job taking care of Luigi and Lucia! She fes them according to my directions (we have special feeders), and she was able to give my cat Luigi his insulin injections accurately and correctly. The litter was well scooped and everything looked great when I returned home. Greatly appreciated her!”

Victoria took great care of our cat for a week while we were on vacation. She sent lots of pictures and updates and you could tell he enjoyed her visits! He’s a shy cat so we were so happy to see he warmed up to her right away. Knowing Victoria was taking great care of our cat made our vacation even better!

We hired Jamie based on her recommendations and repeated customers here on Rover. I was nervous to leave my two kitties, especially my elder cat who is chronically ill. Jamie was punctual and attentive to their needs, feeding, dispensing my calico’s meds, and spending time with both. She alleviated my fears by being in touch during visits, and the photos she sent assured me that they were in good hands. They seemed calm and happy, responding to her positively. My second cat is very shy, and her approach obviously was effective as her photos show him very chill. I recommend her highly.

Isabella was great! She was very attentive to Mozzarella’s needs and sent me lots of pictures and updates. Mozzarella was temporarily on a medication and she was able to give it to him each day and she also gave him lots of playtime. I would definitely book with her again.

Highly recommend Johnny! He took excellent care of our dog Candy, feeding her and taking her out for a nice walk. He was incredibly communicative, followed all of our instructions to a T, and gave us total peace of mind. Candy was in great hands, and we will absolutely reach out to him again in the future!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
