Caitlin was an amazing pet sitter for our cat, Sienna. She consistently communicated with us, sending updates and pictures throughout her stay. Caitlin actively played with Sienna and went above and beyond to meet her specific needs. Sienna is very particular about how she drinks water and eats, and Caitlin made sure to accommodate her fully. We highly recommend Caitlin’s services! If you’re ever in need of a responsible and attentive pet sitter, Caitlin is the perfect choice. We couldn’t be more satisfied!

I adopted my dog in 2017 and worked hard with a trainer and have learned a lot about walking dogs and caring for dogs and am very cautious and confident walking dogs. I also have 3 senior dogs currently and am used to caring for seniors. I currently work part time and have two children. My job schedule is flexible and I often have gaps in my day and time to walk dogs. I can also do occasional overnights. I will respect and follow your safety reccomendations and needs for your dog. About: Hi, I’m Madelyn! I’ve been petsitting here on Rover and for local friends and neighbors for the past 7 years now. As well as dogs and cats, I also have a lot of experience with ferrets, lizards, bunnies, backyard animals, fish, and pet birds! Over the past 7 years of housesitting in Marblehead, as well as my childhood years spent on a farm and surrounded by a variety of animals, I have gained a lot of experience and skill, when it comes to working with and connecting with animals. Currently I work with a few families on an as needed basis as a family organizer and infant babysitter. My schedule is flexible, and I don’t work many hours at a time. Petsitting and dogwalking is my main priority and I’m grateful I am able to schedule any other bookings around my schedule. Housesitting: I use your home as my “home base” meaning I will sleep and spend any downtime in your home. This does not mean I will be at your home 24/7. Walks: When walking, I will provide your pup with a 30 or 60 min walk around your neighborhood. I’d be happy to collaborate with local doggy friends for group walks as well! Drop-ins: If you are going away and leaving your little friends home alone, I am available to stop in to provide food, water, potty breaks/cleanups, and lots of cuddles!

About: I love animals and have fostered countless cats and dogs for the last 40 years. I am sensitive to their overt body language and needs. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. I can make myself available for last minute care or emergencies, and can be readily reached for updates re the pet I’m caring for. I work for Trusted Pet Sitters and have been taking care of many pets in their homes in that process. I care for cats and dogs in their environment and know how to make them feel safe and loved in their owners’ absence.

About: I grew up with dogs and have had the wonderful experience of caring for/watching dogs ranging from puppies to elder dogs. Friends and family have relied on me to check-in, dog sit, walk, play, and feed their dogs. They have trusted me with their pets without constraints. I’m currently working full time so this would be on a part time basis. However, my flexibility of WFH, allows me extra time for your pups! Ensuring your pets are comfortable with new faces is the most important. Routines, favorite toys, and time outside are my favorite things to help keep the dogs happy!

About: I first discovered my passion for animal care in fifth grade when I brought home and later adopted my class pet, Spot, an anole lizard who remained with our family for two years. Since then, I have continued developing hands-on experience caring for animals, including working with reactive dogs. During the pandemic, my family adopted our dog Henry, and through that experience I gained valuable insight into supporting dogs with anxiety and learning effective, patient approaches to behavioral management. I currently have full availability for the summer and am flexible in accommodating a wide range of pet care needs, including daytime, evening, and weekend care. I prioritize clear and consistent communication with pet owners to ensure I fully understand each pet’s individual needs and routine. My goal is to provide attentive, reliable care and make sure every pet is safe, comfortable, and receiving the highest quality care possible.

Paloma was on time for every visit with my kitty! Making sure that she was seen twice a day for her medicine and food. When my cat was difficult about taking her pill, Paloma found a great workaround to get her to take it. She sent many pictures after each visit and spent their time doing what my cat wanted in that moment. I would highly recommend Paloma! I can home to a happy and healthy kitty.

About: I’m obsessed with dogs!!! I’ve always loved being around them, and I’ve been walking and caring for my dog, neighbors dogs, and friends’ dogs since I was 8 years old! I’m very comfortable with dogs of all energy levels, and I understand the importance of training and discipline, while also ensuring they have a safe and great quality of life. I love dogs that like long walks and lots of playtime, but I also love more relaxed, low-energy dogs who prefer slower walks. I’m attentive, patient, and reliable person who wants to make sure each dog feels safe, happy, and well cared for. I currently work part-time with a flexible schedule, which allows me to be available throughout the week for pet care. I’m also taking one summer class on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4–6pm, but outside of that I want to dedicate my time for walks, drop-ins, and quality time with your pet! Additionally, I’m happy to work around your pet’s routine and can often accommodate different schedules with notice in advance! At home we have an open backyard, but we attach a long leash to the dog collar, which is secured to the porch to ensure the dog does not escape. We also have had an invisible fence system that was installed in our prior house.

Brianne took care of my cat for two weeks with drop-in visits and did a great job. She fed her, gave her medication, scooped the litter, and made sure she got some playtime and attention. She even took our trash out. It was such a relief knowing our cat was being looked after so well while we were away. I didn’t have to worry, and that meant everything. As of July 2026, there are 9,742 sitters on Rover offering Pet Sitting across Marblehead. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Marblehead stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Marblehead. On Rover:

  • 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
