“Correen as always took amazing care of our three cats. Daily updates were full of information and photos when they came out to play. In addition she was concerned when they didn't come out or seemed to not be using the litter box as normal (everything was fine it's just them). I am always comforted when we are away that they are getting great care. Will for sure book again!”
“Lauren did an incredible job winning over our difficult cat! She was persistent and gave him plenty of attention and thoughtful care. We really appreciated the detailed updates and pictures!”

About: I've had two dogs of my own - one blind, and the other deaf. I am happy to manage your pet's quirks while we're having a great time together, too. Every pet needs something different, so I'll pay close attention to the details of your instructions. I'm also very focused on safety: leashes and familiar walks are a must! Also, I am booking now for summer - I would love to share my time off with your pets! I am a teacher during the school year, so my summer is wide open. I do enjoy visiting a few clients each day - it adds some structure to my own life! At my place, I have an air-conditioned apartment and a small porch where your pet and I can relax. We can take walks in the neighborhood or along the rail trail, located right across the street. Leashes and tags are always a must! In your home, I'll be sensitive to your pet's routines and habits around the house. Likewise, I'll be careful about your privacy and the condition of your home. In either location, we can agree on a timetable so you can expect pictures and updates of your special pet.

About: Hello! I'm available for dog walking and drop-in pet care and am local to the Salem, MA area. My services include walks, playtime, potty breaks, food and water refills, and giving your pup the care they need. I’ve been caring for dogs for years — from growing up with a family dog (a shih-tzu!) to providing pet care for neighbors, friends, and family. I’ve watched energetic dogs such as aussies, golden retrievers, doodles, and smaller dogs, too! My experience includes both overnight stays and daily drop-in visits, where I’ve helped with everything from feeding and walking to keeping pets company and active. I’m happy to connect! I work from home and can offer up to 2 walks or 1–2 at-home visits per day. I’m available in the mornings. Please inquire about 11am-3pm on weekdays and I can check my availability. I approach every dog in a gentle and enthusiastic manner and believe it's important to listen to pet owners about any specific behavioral issues so I can adjust my approach accordingly.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Salem
Victoria took great care of our cat for a week while we were on vacation. She sent lots of pictures and updates and you could tell he enjoyed her visits! He’s a shy cat so we were so happy to see he warmed up to her right away. Knowing Victoria was taking great care of our cat made our vacation even better!

We hired Jamie based on her recommendations and repeated customers here on Rover. I was nervous to leave my two kitties, especially my elder cat who is chronically ill. Jamie was punctual and attentive to their needs, feeding, dispensing my calico’s meds, and spending time with both. She alleviated my fears by being in touch during visits, and the photos she sent assured me that they were in good hands. They seemed calm and happy, responding to her positively. My second cat is very shy, and her approach obviously was effective as her photos show him very chill. I recommend her highly.

Mackenzie did a very nice job taking care of Luigi and Lucia! She fes them according to my directions (we have special feeders), and she was able to give my cat Luigi his insulin injections accurately and correctly. The litter was well scooped and everything looked great when I returned home. Greatly appreciated her!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
