About: I first discovered my passion for animal care in fifth grade when I brought home and later adopted my class pet, Spot, an anole lizard who remained with our family for two years. Since then, I have continued developing hands-on experience caring for animals, including working with reactive dogs. During the pandemic, my family adopted our dog Henry, and through that experience I gained valuable insight into supporting dogs with anxiety and learning effective, patient approaches to behavioral management. About: I've had Cats all my life, and Dogs as long as I can remember! I worked my way up from Attendant to Supervisor at a local Veterinary Hospital I was at for 6 1/2 years. I had 15 Attendants working underneath me that I hired, scheduled and trained. I was in charge of Small and Large Breed boarding departments, Doggie Daycare, and cats as well. My duties consisted of Monitoring, Feeding, Medicating and exercising Boarding and Daycare Animals from Friendly to Aggressive and Puppies to Seniors. Malena was fantastic with our 3 large dogs, one being a puppy. She stayed in close contact with us with plenty of updates and the pups loved her. All of our dogs have very different personalities and she did great with all of them. Our request was very last minute and she was able to accommodate everything we needed.
