Former MSPCA volunteer also experienced with gentle care for rabbits, birds, guinea pigs, and other smallies. I'll even take your turtle for a stroll in a secluded, safe area away from dogs for exercise and digging! I'm currently in between tech jobs and have plenty of time to spend with your animals. Happy to stay overnight for extra company and care. In your home I'm alert at the door - no escapees on my watch! - and like to spend plenty of time first cleaning and feeding, then playing, cuddling, or even just sitting close by reading depending on your animals' shyness level. About: Trusted by many local families, I provide reliable pet sitting, dog walking, and cat care. Most of my clients come through word-of-mouth recommendations (references available upon request) , and I take pride in building lasting relationships with both pets and their owners. With having 12 pets of my own, I have experience caring for dogs of different sizes, ages, and personalities, as well as feeding and checking in on cats while families are away. You can count on me to provide dependable care, regular updates, and lots of love and attention for your pets. I work some nights a restaurant and currently on a gap year! I will be traveling a little bit but will be available a lot. I have 3 dogs, 4 cats, 2 ferrets, a bunny, a bearded dragon, and some fish. I live in the basement am able to cut off my animals access down there if I were to watch your pet from my home which I’ve done before.

About: I care deeply for animals in both my personal and professional life! From childhood through today, I have cared for my sweet dog and guinea pig companions at home. I am currently pursuing a career involving animal care & conservation education, so I understand the importance of connection with animals on a multitude of levels. I hope to apply my skills while gaining some experience with domestic species that are less common at work. I have occasionally done drop-in visits for friends & family in the past, so I am excited to get started with Rover now! My work ethic is meticulous and I enjoy collaborating with others. I will pursue a shared understanding of the needs for you and your pets to determine if we are a good match. I am most eager to develop a relationship with your companion that becomes more and more comfortable each visit! Applicable species experience: dog breeds ~ brittany spaniel, shih tzu, labrador retriever, terrier mixes small mammals ~ guinea pig, rabbit, ferret, chinchilla birds ~ ringneck dove reptiles ~ common box turtle, bearded dragon, blue-tongued skink, corn snake, ball python, milksnake, sand boa **I'm not afraid of frozen rodents and mealworms, but will minimize handling of live crickets and other jumping insects :) If you have an animal that I haven't listed, please feel free to reach out! I am open to working with other species if our needs are compatible. I have pretty open availability at the moment as I work on the next step in my career. Feel free to message me with any questions or requests! We can choose timing based on both of our needs. To keep your pet comfortable at home, I will do my best to maintain some form of routine in each visit. I also enjoy coming up with creative enrichment for the animals I care for. We can discuss ways to promote mental stimulation and/or physical movement in the absence of owners, if interested!

“We used Sam to board our dog Mia for the first time recently, and she was absolutely amazing! We just adopted Mia two months ago (she’s a rescue from the south), so we were super nervous about leaving her for a week. At the dog hotel we used to use for our other pup, they literally charged us $4 per photo and we constantly had to beg them for updates. Sam was the exact opposite. Right from the meet-and-greet, she was so attentive and asked tons of questions to make sure she knew exactly how to give Mia the best care. While we were gone, she sent so many updates and pictures without us even having to ask, which gave us total peace of mind. She even handled Mia's allergy medication which was another concern of ours. Plus, her dog Poppy is the absolute cutest and friendliest pup ever! If want someone who will actually give you pup personal, hands-on love and attention, you need to book Sam.”
