“Zwany is amazing as always. She's responsive, caring, and always puts your dog's best interest first. I have booked with her three times now and I wouldn't want to book with anyone else!”

“Ana is exceptional! Wish I could click additional star ratings! Our 'lil Bear was so happy and well cared for so evident in the many beautiful photos sent. Highly, highly recommend! *** HUGE thank you, Ana!!!!”

“Elliot was great with my senior dog. He met all of her specific needs and accommodations. He was very communicative and took her on so many adventures while I was out of town! I would definitely book with him again. Highly recommend!”
“I think my dog likes Liz more than me! He was happy to see me again and to come home, but if he could have, he would have moved her and her place in next door to us. Liz is gentle, picks up on important cues from the dogs, is thorough and just great. There was a complication in our premade arrangements with another sitter the night before we were scheduled to fly out of the country that could have ruined our 2 week honeymoon in Japan. Liz really stepped up for Rover and for us. She’s the very best.”
About: With 25 years of experience having my own dog sitting business, I will take loving care of your precious dog in my Swampscott home. I have a large, fenced-in yard. No cages here. Many great references. Friendly, female dogs only, please. I make my own hours, so I can be home for your dog to take care of her every need. I am crazy about dogs, and my own dog, Annie, gets along well with other friendly dogs. I have a fenced-in yard, which dogs love to go out into. I can let them out any time, for as long as they want to sit outside in the sun, or come inside into the cool air conditioning on hot days.
“Great sitter, and treats my dog Widget like family! Extremely communicative, and has a sense of humor about my dog's quirks. Her big yard means my dog has plenty of space to romp around. Since I live in the city, it must feel like a vacation for him, too!”

“Patricia was fabulous! She took incredible care of our pup like she was one of her own! When watching her during the heatwave Patricia made sure there was lots of fun things for her to do to cool off. She got to go swimming in the pool and played around in the splash pad. Patricia was great at keeping us updated and sent lots of photos and videos! Our pup can’t wait to go back!”

“Julia is great. She took good care of my dog Ronny while we are on vacation. She replies message in a very timely manner and sends us Ronny’s pictures frequently to ensure Ronny is a good caregiver’s home. I would highly recommend Julia to anyone who need dog cater.”
“Jhoanna has taken care of Lola for us a few times already, and each time she has gone above and beyond. We leave her with total peace of mind knowing Lola is in great hands. She always sends updates, photos, and checks in if anything seems off. Lola absolutely adores her, and we can tell how comfortable and happy she is when we come back. We truly appreciate her reliability, kindness, and the way she treats our dog like family.”

“Michelle took such great care of our new puppy. Her and her family are so warm, loving and attentive, our puppy loved being there with them. Michelle also graciously worked with our travel schedule and made drop off and pick up easy. We appreciate her and highly recommend her!”

About: I have always owned pets and cared for pets of family and friends. I adopted my dog in 2017 and worked hard with a trainer and have learned a lot about walking dogs and caring for dogs and am very cautious and confident walking dogs. I also have 3 senior dogs currently and am used to caring for seniors. I currently work part time and have two children. My job schedule is flexible and I often have gaps in my day and time to walk dogs. I can also do occasional overnights. I will respect and follow your safety reccomendations and needs for your dog. I am very diligent and organized and will be able to follow instructions and keep your dogs safe and happy!
“Mandy is cheerful and easy-going. She provided photos of my pet regularly and confirmed that meals were consumed (since our pet refuses to eat at times) and exercise was given. The fenced yard and deck are ample for fresh air breaks and Ruby seemed very much at home during her stay.”

“Lori provided excellent care to our dog, Apollo, while we were away on vacation. She was very communicative, provided regular updates and sent a lot of great photos and videos! I would highly recommend her and will ask for her help again. Thank you so much, Lori!!”

“Christian was absolutely amazing. The daily updates were so appreciated, as I was so nervous on leaving my puppy alone for the first time. My flight also landed later than anticipated and he was kind enough to extend the drop off time to work better for my lateness.. my puppy came back grinning with a smile from ear to ear, I know he was properly cared for. Highly recommend and would love to use him again in the future !”

“Victoria saved my life with watching my pets on short notice nonetheless. My apartment was having maintenance and I desperately wanted care for my pets. Victoria didn’t just provide excellent care for my pets, but she kept me informed throughout the day with pictures and messages to keep me at ease. I would be honored to have her help with the pets again.”

“This was our first time using Rover, and Martha was fantastic! Bailey seemed to have a great time during his stay, and we loved receiving daily photos and videos of him. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was happy, well cared for, and in such good hands while we were out of town. We would absolutely book with Martha again!”

“Cheryl took amazing care of my disabled senior dog with multiple health issues and went above and beyond while I was away. She carefully followed all of my instructions, made sure medications were given properly, and gave my dog so much love, attention, and comfort. Her updates gave me real peace of mind, and I felt so reassured knowing my dog was in such caring and capable hands! I’m incredibly grateful and would absolutely book with her again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Salem
David and his family were wonderful hosts for our cat, Momo. From start to finish, David was responsive and communicative throughout the whole process. Momo is normally a very social cat but can be skittish in new environments, and this was her first time being around young kids, but David thoughtfully created safe, comfortable spaces for her without making her feel stressed. We really appreciated the care and attention he put into making her feel at ease.

Kyli provided excellent dog boarding. Her outstanding care, clear communication, and welcoming family environment gave total peace of mind, ensuring our dog had an amazing time and felt right at home. Our dog Nia returned happy and relaxed, she even came home with a new toy that she is obsessed with :)

Hyesun and Robert are fantastic. We will definitely use them again whenever our dogs need someplace to stay. They had multiple walks each day. Lots of playtime even had another dog that stayed there that our youngest dog is now best friends with. Lots of photos to keep us updated which we really appreciated. Highest recommendation for very very happy puppies.

Paloma is absolutely fantastic, I wish I had found her sooner. I left my girl with her for a weekend so I could go away. Her home is perfect for any pet to live their best life. She was so attentive and caring. I was nervous about the fireworks scaring my girl and Paloma was careful to make sure she was as comfortable as possible which put this crazy dog moms heart at ease. Will definitely use her in the future.

We used Sam to board our dog Mia for the first time recently, and she was absolutely amazing! We just adopted Mia two months ago (she’s a rescue from the south), so we were super nervous about leaving her for a week. At the dog hotel we used to use for our other pup, they literally charged us $4 per photo and we constantly had to beg them for updates. Sam was the exact opposite. Right from the meet-and-greet, she was so attentive and asked tons of questions to make sure she knew exactly how to give Mia the best care. While we were gone, she sent so many updates and pictures without us even having to ask, which gave us total peace of mind. She even handled Mia's allergy medication which was another concern of ours. Plus, her dog Poppy is the absolute cutest and friendliest pup ever! If want someone who will actually give you pup personal, hands-on love and attention, you need to book Sam.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
