“Freddi and her boyfriend are such caring dog sitters. It’s obvious that they loves the dogs a lot, often taking them on long walks to tire them out and having them play. They are very attentive and patient, often updating me about the dogs and even offering suggestions on changing their food intake after doing some research. Our dogs were very happy and healthy when we went to pick them up, and even kind of sad to leave. It’s clear that they had a great time at Freddi’s by their smiles and tail wags. I would highly recommend this family if you’re going away for vacation—they are patient, kind, and very caring! 10/10 experience.”

“We've used Hyesun to sit for us several times now. She takes excellent care of our dogs, walks them several times daily, has a clean, safe, house and makes the effort to send photos and keep us in the loop. I really cannot recommend her enough. I'm sure we'll be going back to her for our future sitting needs.”

“My dog is a big old baby requiring plenty of attention and TLC as well as timely walks and medications. He’s an old boy. He loved Liz and her place. Usually he has separation issues. Well he hardly noticed when we left and I’m pretty sure he was a little bit disappointed to come home. Great care for my dog.”
“Couldn’t have asked for a better sitter! She was extremely communicative and sent lots of photos and videos, which I really appreciated. I had to book last minute due to a family emergency, and she completely put my mind at ease. Lily was so well cared for and happy when I returned. I would absolutely book with her again!”

“Felicia is great very happy to have access to a great dog sitter! This is the second time I’ve left Ashley with her, got great updates, could not ask for more! Will definitely use again if she’s a available!”

“Lori is the best! My pup Luna is 2 yrs old and has lots of energy. She loves all the exercise and adventures she goes on with Lori. Lori is great at sending lots of pics and videos which makes for my time away worry free. Highly recommend Lori.”

“Stella loved her stay with Denise. Denise sent me photos and updates on Stella. I would definitely recommend Denise to anyone looking for someone to watch their fur baby while away. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - South Hamilton
Couldn’t have asked for a better family to watch our two Golden retrievers during our daughter‘s wedding weekend. Having never left them with a sitter they were nervous and so were away Lorraine and Patrick and three little girls were the best sitters we could ask for sent us pictures and gave them 100% of their attention we hope to move up to Massachusetts next year so we will definitely be calling them in the future.

Lindsay was a great sitter for our dog Wellington. She provided pictures and updates regularly which made all the difference. We were traveling for 9 days out of the country and really appreciated her caring and thoughtful messages. It really was clear how much she cared for our dog and it was very much appreciated.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
