About: I have cared for cats for almost 6 years through short-term petsitting and extended periods. I have cared for cats of neighbors, family members, as well as those in my community. Our 2 cats have pretty basic needs, but they do not like strangers and we had never left them alone with a non-family member, so we were apprehensive about taking a week-long international trip. When we met with Tyler we emphasized that it wasn’t unexpected for him not to see the cats at all when he came by to feed them, and that he didn’t need to try to find them or stay and spend time with them if they didn’t want to come out. Imagine our surprise when we got a video from him the very first night with our big orange scaredy-cat rubbing up against him! Even our suspicious little tabby girl, who’s often skittish even around US, felt comfortable enough to walk into the kitchen and eat her food while Tyler was still there. He sent us a video or a photo or 2 each visit along with a quick update on how the cats were doing, which was perfect; we got peace of mind without distraction from our trip. We agonized for literally months over how we would arrange cat care after moving further away from our families, but now we know that we will be booking with Tyler any time we take a trip! It’s an enormous relief to have someone we can trust and that the cats actually feel comfortable with. Tyler is a lifesaver and we can’t recommend him highly enough!”

“Jade watched my two pups with very different needs (one is small, 15 years old; the other is 1.5 yo husky mix) for the day as we were going through town on a road trip. We needed somewhere for the pups to be while we did a non-dog friendly day. Jade was super responsive and accommodating. The dogs happily walked off with her without any hesitation (I trust them to read the situation). She asked good questions about their care, entertained the pup during the day by introducing her to a doggy walking pad inside since it was extremely hot out. She also quickly and easily accommodated an earlier pick up when we finished up early. While we aren’t local to use her again, I would do it if the need arises. Much better than a kennel! Pups were happy when we picked up.”

About: I love being surrounded by animals and have been around pets my entire life. For a long time now, I’ve been rescuing lost dogs and helping them find safe, loving homes. Currently, I have three dogs and a cat at my country house, as well as a 10-year-old senior dog at home. One of my dogs in the countryside is partially blind, and I'm the one who takes care of his special needs. This has given me great hands-on experience with senior and special-needs pet care. Spanish is my native language, and my home is fully bilingual! My kids are completely fluent in English and are always here to help with communication for all booking details and updates. Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine because I am at home all day. My daily life revolves around taking care of my dog, maintaining our home, and waiting for my husband and children to return from work and school. Currently, my daughter is starting college this August, so I am looking for extra income to help pay for her tuition.
