About: 30 years as a dog mom, 2 young school-aged kids + friendly puppy!! Dogs have been a part of my life for more than 30 years! I grew up with a dog from the time I was 4 until I was 20, so caring for dogs has always been second nature to me. At 28, I got my own dog, who was a beloved part of our family for nearly 13 years. Shortly after saying goodbye to her we welcomed Lola, our mini dachshund, into our family in May 2026, and she has brought so much fun and energy to our home. I’m very comfortable with the day-to-day care that comes with having a dog, including walks, playtime, feeding, cuddles, and making sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for. Our family includes two young school-aged children, so our home is loving, active, and full of attention. Lola loves having other dogs around, so we’re especially excited to welcome friendly, social dogs who enjoy playing and having a canine companion. We’re a great fit for dogs who enjoy being part of a family and having plenty of love, attention, and playtime! Your dog will be treated like part of the family while they’re with us! We take dogs out first thing in the morning, throughout the day as needed (typically at least every 3 hours), and again before bedtime. I am not currently working, so I’m around and available throughout the day. On weekends, we’re home most of the time with Lola and the kids, so there’s plenty of company, attention, and playtime. We enjoy getting outside for walks and, when appropriate, may visit a dog park or a dog-friendly beach when seasonally available. We’ll always consider your dog’s personality, comfort level, and energy when planning activities. Our goal is for every dog to feel safe, loved, and right at home! Our home is a dog-loving, family-friendly environment with a large yard on a quiet private road, surrounded by woods and backing up to the Hannah Trails. There’s plenty of space for dogs to explore, play, and get some energy out! We have one very friendly, playful puppy (Lola) who loves having other dogs around, plus two young school-aged kids who are always happy to provide extra attention, entertainment, and cuddles. We especially enjoy welcoming dogs who are comfortable around children and other dogs. Our puppy has free rein of the house when we’re home and is crate-trained when we leave. For guest dogs, we’re happy to use a crate when we’re away if that’s what they’re accustomed to. If your dog isn’t crate-trained, that’s completely fine—we’re happy to work with their routine and make sure they’re comfortable and safe while we’re out. At night, we’ll follow whatever routine your dog is used to. They can sleep in a crate, in a designated area, or even in bed with us (& Lola) if that’s their normal routine. Our goal is to keep your dog’s experience as comfortable and familiar as possible while they’re staying with us!
About: I absolutely love all animals! I grew up having cats and dogs my entire life. I have pet sat for relatives, neighbors, and family friends since my early teens. My last dog had medical needs and was dog selective so I have first hand experience with both of those kinds of needs and the needs of elderly dogs. I'm active and have a fairly flexible schedule so I can care for your pets in whatever ways best suit them. During the week my schedule is very flexible and I can often structure my schedule around your needs. I am not available most weekends but I will be sure to keep my availability up to date. Dorothy is great with my dog! She is very patient, understanding, and flexible when my dog is nervous, not pushing her and instead finding ways to get her to warm up so she can be taken care of. We hired Jamie based on her recommendations and repeated customers here on Rover. I was nervous to leave my two kitties, especially my elder cat who is chronically ill. Jamie was punctual and attentive to their needs, feeding, dispensing my calico’s meds, and spending time with both. She alleviated my fears by being in touch during visits, and the photos she sent assured me that they were in good hands. They seemed calm and happy, responding to her positively. My second cat is very shy, and her approach obviously was effective as her photos show him very chill. I recommend her highly.
Brooke was great! She was on time (with treats in hand) and did a great job with walking, playing with and taking care of my golden retriever puppy so I could take a work call. Charlie was pooped and went right down for a nap after. So helpful for those that work from home!
Isabella was great! She was very attentive to Mozzarella’s needs and sent me lots of pictures and updates. Mozzarella was temporarily on a medication and she was able to give it to him each day and she also gave him lots of playtime. I would definitely book with her again.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement sitter.
