“Jonathan has been excellent! He’s been very kind and patient with my energetic dogs and focused on their safety and well being. Jonathan has been punctual, reliable and a pleasure to work with. =)”

About: I have cared for pets for almost 6 years, ranging from pet sitting to caring for dogs while working at my local grooming facility. I also frequently volunteer at Cape Ann Animal Aid in their cat wing caring for the shelter cats. I have fed, cleaned, and walked dogs. I am also experienced in veterinary care including administering medications and being certified in FearFree, Pet first aid, Pet CPR, and more. I fully dedicate my time to your pets, and I am able to take them to dog parks, beaches, anything that’ll allow them to socialize and get proper exercise! When you are gone I would do anything and everything to make your pet feel as comfortable as they can, as well as keeping up with their current routine. I am experienced in dogs/cats that are very anxious, whether that means shy towards humans/dogs, afraid of loud noises, reactivity, etc. Due to my veterinary background and personal experience, I am fully capable of administering medications including daily or preventatives. (Oral, topical, etc) I am currently working part-time, but I am fully free on days that I am not working. I am available after 11am and before 8pm. I am available on weekdays and weekends, as well as some holidays. I am a college student, so I am only available over the summer, winter, and spring when I am home for breaks. I am currently unable to care for pets in my own home at this time due to the temperament of my pets, however I can care for pets in clients homes. I am familiar with using crates, basic obedience training, and petsitting dogs and cats including feeding, cleaning, playing, and walking the dog.
“Elizabeth was a responsible pet sitter. She was right on time for her visits with Luna. She always checked in with a photo and communicated well. We would have her back.”

About: I have worked at a cat boarding facility for the better part of five years. I have many pets and experience with the following; medicine administration, injecting insulin, monitoring the cats’ health and appetite, cleaning, and making sure each and every cat got the adequate attention they needed. In addition to this I have also pet sat for dogs and cats for years. Most of customers were regulars and I got to get to know each animal very well. I have also had both a dog and a cat my whole life, so I know what it is like to not only constantly care for a pet, but also love and worry about them, which is why I take such pride in ensuring my customers have complete peace knowing I will care for their pets! I am a college student and am available most afternoons, but have more freedoms Tuesdays, Thursdays, and the weekends. My schedule can be very flexible though. My main concern in caring for pets is their health and safety. I will always make sure they are doing well and have all the care they need in that aspect. I also will make sure they are happy and receiving the attention from me they need. I will always follow any and all instructions left on caring for pets.
“Vanessa was fantastic! She took wonderful care of our cats, spent time playing or snuggling or chatting with them depending on what they wanted. Our nervous cat warmed up to her pretty quickly and she won the other one over with treats and head scratches. She is thorough, conscientious, friendly and seems to really enjoy spending time with the kitties. Would definitely recommend and will definitely book again!”

“Amy was honestly phenomenal. She took great care of my cat child. Truly going above and beyond, treating Booba like her own. She would even use the dust buster around the litter box, which I didn’t expect at all! Booba loved Amy and I would rebook her in a heartbeat. She kept me up to date every visit and sent great pictures. The best service I have ever had for the care of my cat.”

“Diane was amazing! I’m a super anxious helicopter pet mom and I felt very relieved with Diane taking care of my fur babies. Reliable and has great communication - plus gave me lots of pictures!”

About: I have 2 happy pups and 2 beautiful cats at home. I have experience with doggy daycare, loose leash walking, teaching and reinforcing basic cues, potty training, and pet sitting. I am a student at Salem State University. During the summer I have an internship in my field of study that is only 10 hours a week. I have plenty of free time and enjoy spending it caring for my pets! I have one friendly dog and two friendly cats at home with a large yard. I take outside time seriously by taking my dog for walks in our neighborhood and spending time with her playing in our yard or at the park.
About: I first discovered my passion for animal care in fifth grade when I brought home and later adopted my class pet, Spot, an anole lizard who remained with our family for two years. Since then, I have continued developing hands-on experience caring for animals, including working with reactive dogs. During the pandemic, my family adopted our dog Henry, and through that experience I gained valuable insight into supporting dogs with anxiety and learning effective, patient approaches to behavioral management. I currently have full availability for the summer and am flexible in accommodating a wide range of pet care needs, including daytime, evening, and weekend care. I prioritize clear and consistent communication with pet owners to ensure I fully understand each pet’s individual needs and routine. My goal is to provide attentive, reliable care and make sure every pet is safe, comfortable, and receiving the highest quality care possible.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Prides Crossing
My cat loved Jessica and was comfortable with her right away, which is unusual for him! She was incredibly kind, responsive, and dependable, especially during tough weather conditions and last minute changes to my plans. She followed all instructions and I felt completely at ease knowing my cat was in such good hands. I would absolutely recommend her!

While we were gone they were very reliable and responsive. Our two are normally very needy when we have been gone more than a couple of days. Having them there each day and engaging with the cats made such a difference and we all much happier for the help. Thank you!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
