“Lori is amazing. We are so happy to have found her. She always takes amazing care of our dog who has a lot of anxiety. She is so responsive, caring, and follows all of our special instructions.”

“Jade did an amazing job taking care of our golden retriever puppy. Our dog loved it, and couldn’t wait to go back. Communication skills are excellent, and you can rest easy knowing your dog is in great hands”

“Fae and Joseph were great Rovers carers. I got daily updates and communication was excellent. Dogs are not walked but fenced yard is ample, spotlessly clean and their attention and love are all for the dogs. I will definitely use them again. Thanks guys!!”

“Olympia had a great time as always! We really appreciate their attention to her allergies - when we told the she needed filtered water they said no problem and offered to take the shared water up, which was really considerate.”

“Lorraine took such good care of my pup for me! I felt like she was in a very loving home, and the photo and video updates were great. Lorraine was very responsive and kind. I would book her again :)”

“Finding this wonderful family was truly the best thing that could have happened for us and for our dogs - we're looking forward to a long relationship ahead! We had total peace of mind knowing how well our dogs were living in our absence - they had constant attention from this loving family. We received several photos and updates and the dogs couldn't have been any happier and lively upon our return - our dogs certainly received 5-star treatment, so the 5-star rating is well deserved - thank you so much!”
“I’d like to give them 10 stars!!! Rebeca and her family take wonderful care of my dog. They’ve gotten to know her and picked up on some emotional differences this visit. Having people who know and love her is amazing when I need to leave. I will book with them again and again!”

“Brooke watched our two pups for a long weekend and they both came back completely wiped out from the fun they had. She was very accommodating with our schedule as we had to drop them off very early and pick them up very late. Thank you again!”

“We had a wonderful experience with Ana and would absolutely book with her again! She was fantastic with communication, sending daily updates and pictures that gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Our dog happened to be going through one of her picky eating phases during our trip, and she went above and beyond to help. She tried different bowls, chopped up the turkey we had left as a topper and mixed it into her food, and was so patient and creative in trying to get her to eat. It was clear she genuinely cared about our dog’s well-being. She also took her on multiple walks each day and made sure she got plenty of attention and exercise. On top of that, she was incredibly accommodating with our drop-off and pick-up schedule, which made the entire experience stress-free. We couldn’t have asked for better care for our dog and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and attentive pet sitter!”

“Yenny and her family where extremely amazing 🥰 my Winnie was happy being around them for being her first time spending the night out of her comfort 🩷🫶🏼 she did well I will definitely book again in near future with yenny. Definitely recommend her 💯”

“Lindsay is very welcoming and kind. She is experienced caring for dogs and even fosters dogs who need temporary homes. She sent updates and pictures, and our dog returned home happy and healthy after a week in her care.”

“Gienna was great with our dog Murphy. She had excellent communication (lots of notes and photos) during his stay with her and she clearly has a lot of valuable experience taking care of dogs and making sure they adjust into the new space.”

“Jennifer was amazing watching our puppy, Loki! She even provided pet taxi for pick up and drop off! She kept us updated throughout his weekend stay with her the entire time and he loved playing with her 2 pups! Thank you so much!”

“Paul, Megan and their sweet son were so good with my older dog -- I got the sense that they were excited and grateful for the opportunity to spend a week with Sadie! Great communication, good updates, Sadie didn't even want to leave. She got more attention from her sitters than she usually even gets at home! Happy to have a family that I can trust with my nervous dog going forward!”
“Andre was great with Luna ! Kept great contact with videos. She was walked for hours a day. When I picked her up she ate and crashed out. She was clearly tired. I will definitely use Andre again!!!🐆”

About: I started taking care of dogs when my friends/family asked if I could help out. This all started because I love dogs and cats. Since then, I've cared for all breeds, sizes and personalities; from energetic pups to sweet seniors. I'm comfortable working with high energy dogs and quiet older dogs. I enjoy walking dogs and playing with them. I am extremely attentive to every dog's unique needs and your dog will be treated like family with me, if you give me the opportunity. My favorite part of pet sitting is getting to know each furry friend and making sure they feel safe, loved, and at home while you're away. Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine, since I work from home most of the time. This allows me to give plenty of time and attention to your dog throughout the day, including a walk every few hours and exercise tailored to your dog's energy level. Whether your pup loves long walks or quick play breaks, I make sure their needs are met with lots of love and care. I currently work part time and have the flexibility to walk and care for your dog/dogs all day/night. What sets me apart from other people, is I really enjoy the different personalities of every dog I meet. I do my best to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and right at home. I have a fenced in yard that's perfect for daily fun. At home, I can provide a crate for pups who enjoy having their own cozy safe space. I maintain a calm low traffic home, so your pet gets a consistent, stress free environment. Whatever your dog does at your house, I can replicate at my house. I will follow your rules for your dog. My goal is to create a fun, safe, and loving space where every pup is treated like my own.

Are you kidding me, This care is so mindful and superb . I didn’t realize how loving and professional care for bernice could be . Jade is fantastic , with a smile to match for your precious pets! I would say more but this encompasses it all. I picked up Bernice and she saw a swollen toe and she asked me about it, she really learned this dog, she’s a pet whisperer …

Couldn’t have asked for a better family to watch our two Golden retrievers during our daughter‘s wedding weekend. Having never left them with a sitter they were nervous and so were away Lorraine and Patrick and three little girls were the best sitters we could ask for sent us pictures and gave them 100% of their attention we hope to move up to Massachusetts next year so we will definitely be calling them in the future.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Prides Crossing home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Prides Crossing.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Prides Crossing sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
