I don’t board pets in my own home, but when caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their routine and instructions to a T—especially when it comes to feeding, play, and exercise. I make sure each pet gets plenty of attention, enrichment, and daily walks or hikes (sometimes more, depending on the pet’s needs). I also treat the home with respect—handling basic housekeeping and even laundry if needed—so everything is clean, cared for, and just the way the client left it.
