“Very professional, thoughtful and thorough services! I was very happy that I was able to leave my dog home without any worry and he was taken care of very well! Parker (although not into people much) seemed to really like James's energy and went out with him no problem. I hope we will be able to use James' services in the future.”

“Noila was very prompt and walked Miles without any issues. She had a last minute adjustment close to the time and had to modify the booking, but she was very apologetic and professional about it. We would definitely use Noila’s services again.”

“Took amazing care of my babies and kept me updated throughout their walk. She was very friendly and my anxious Chihuahuas immediately loved her energy and were pulling to greet her. All around would recommend Sanela!”

“Olivia was great! She communicated well which is key! She took Cindy for a nice walk and sent us photos so we new she was getting attention while we were away. Would love to have her again!”

About: I was born in small village around mountains. We had different kinds of pets since I was young girl. We had rabbits, cats, and dogs. I loved to play, feed and take care of them. I’m currently limited having pets by only the apartment I live otherwise I would have at least two of them. For sure! I am currently working part time and have sufficient extra time to care for your kitten or cats! My availability is before 11 am and after 1pm daily. I have an apartment with a yard to walk around within gated community if needed. Additionally, it is on the ground floor for convenience or easy access.
“I was a nervous wreck leaving my fully work from home job to move to an office because I was scared to leave our pup, but Ying has been 100% on the ball. She is professional and communicative. Can’t recommend her highly enough through her first week with our dog!”

“The most supportive and compassionate dog walker , she came right in with my pup who struggles with basic commands and started teaching her and then took her on her first walk and she didnt even pull her because Cheryl is very confident and firm. Im booking her again today! Thank you so much”

“Kerri has been walking Zuko (mostly) daily for about a month and she has been wonderful! We have a flexible schedule and she is extremely responsive, Zuko loves her and has great fun on their walks. She is always prepared with extra poop bags and is always willing to refill his water or feed him lunch or give him a treat before leaving if ever I’ve requested it! If you need a regular walker in the area I’d definitely recommend her!”

About: I love pet. I have extensive hands-on experience caring for a wide variety of pets.In the past, i have raised a dog, chickens, parrots, fish and bunny. I'm currently no work, stay at home all weekday and most weekend. I can take care of pets most of time during the day. My family also love pets, they are willing to help. I have a fenced yard, which is safe and open space for dogs to play. They are also welcome to stay inside the house to take rest.
About: I've had pets growing up, and I was the main one caring for them. I've had dogs, a cat, guinea pigs, bunnies, fish, and a hamster. I love all animals, but mainly a dog lover! I have watched friends and family's pets. I did the basic care needs: walking, feeding, giving water, playing, and showing lots of love and attention. With my current dog, I have had to give her pills, so I also know different ways to give pills to dogs. I also know how to teach basic commands such as sit, stay, paw, and high-five. When I used to live in Texas, I volunteered to take a shelter senior dog for the day. I did basic care needs and even took him walking/running in a field before taking him back. I currently work a full-time job, anywhere from 7am-6pm on weekdays but I am free on weekends. I also don't mind going after work if you need someone to take your fur babies on a walk, do a check-in, or need to be fed/given water! I live with my boyfriend's family so unfortunately, I can't care for pets in my home. I don't mind just going to your house/apartment to care for your fur babies. I can take them for walks, play with them, keep them company, feed them, give them water, or even take them out the house for a little (a drive or even a walk around a store that allows pets).
About: I have experience caring for dogs of all shapes and sizes and with all different needs! I am patient and have the ability to work with senior or higher-need dogs, as well as the energy to play with puppies. I’m currently in graduate school online and will be working as a substitute teacher, so I’ll have lots of time to take care of your pets! I care for pets according to owner instructions as well as their needs. Pets are family, and I work with pets with the knowledge of this. I also treat owner’s homes with respect and leave everything as I found it.
“Olivia is great! She was punctual, easy to communicate with, and comfortable walking my 55 pound (one year old) dog, who tends to pull on the leash. I would happily hire her again!”

About: I’ve been around both cats and dogs my whole life and genuinely love caring for animals. I’m comfortable with everything from feeding, walks, playtime, and litter box cleaning to giving medications and making sure pets feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I know every pet has a different personality — some are super social and energetic, while others are more shy or independent — and I’m good at adapting to what makes them feel most relaxed. Whether your pet loves attention or just needs a calm, reliable presence, I’ll make sure they’re happy, safe, and well cared for. I work remotely with a flexible schedule, which makes it easy for me to fit pet care into my daily routine and give pets plenty of attention throughout the day. I live at The Devon at Weiss Farm, so I’m conveniently located for drop-ins, walks, and overnight care in the area. Because I’m not tied to a strict office schedule, I’m able to be flexible with visit times and make sure pets stick to their normal routines as closely as possible. I always try to keep pets comfortable by sticking to their normal routine and giving them plenty of attention while you’re away. During drop-ins, I’ll make sure they have fresh water, food if needed, bathroom breaks, playtime, and company. For walks, I’m attentive, keep dogs safely leashed, and adjust to their energy level and pace. I’ll also keep you updated with messages and photos so you know your pet is happy and doing well.

About: I have had dogs my whole life and have over 15 years of hands-on experience caring for them. I grew up with my boxer, Calvin, from the time I was 8 years old until he passed away at 13. As he got older, I became experienced in senior dog care, including helping him navigate stairs, giving medication, and caring for him through seizures. While it was heartbreaking, it also taught me how to stay calm and confidently handle medical situations. I have always been very good at reading dogs’ body language and behavior, and I truly love dogs of all sizes. I now have a very high energy, 2 year old boxer named Louie, so I now understand the energy, patience, and consistency that comes with raising and training a puppy😅 Between caring for a senior dog with medical needs and now raising a puppy, I’ve experienced both ends of the spectrum and genuinely enjoy every stage of a dog’s life. I am a 23 year old graduate student living at home and looking for opportunities to walk, play with, and care for your pups! I also work part-time, but I have a pretty flexible schedule to dedicate to giving your pets the attention and care they deserve!! I prioritize the safety of animals above all else. If your dog requires crating, I am experienced in handling that. I’ll always use appropriate equipment such as leashes and harnesses to make sure they are safe during walks. I will also engage in play and interactive activities to keep your pet entertained and mentally stimulated! Your pet's safety and happiness are my top priorities, I will always make sure they are safe and comfortable!
“Victoria was lovely with Renji, very sweet, professional and understanding. Quick to respond and asked great questions about how best to care for Renji. She even made a hike into Stoneham from Boston in the winter! Highly recommend!”

Yesika has been the greatest dog walker! She is responsive and communicative and kind. When I dropped Achilles off for an overnight stay, he was sooooo excited to see her. I already had no doubts that she was a good sitter, and that confirmed it for me and made me feel even better about having her care for my boy!

Page has been great with my boys! Always flexible on timing and last minute bookings. She has dropped in to make sure they get a little enrichment during my long work days as well as taken them on walks together. Very communicative with any questions and what their status is during the visit/walk. Highly recommend!

Kerri has been walking Zuko (mostly) daily for about a month and she has been wonderful! We have a flexible schedule and she is extremely responsive, Zuko loves her and has great fun on their walks. She is always prepared with extra poop bags and is always willing to refill his water or feed him lunch or give him a treat before leaving if ever I’ve requested it! If you need a regular walker in the area I’d definitely recommend her!

Fernanda is the best dog walker! She treats our dog like she’s her own and is very communicative with us when she has Piper. We get plenty of pictures and updates while they’re together. She took the time to come meet Piper before she started walking her which put us at ease to see how they interacted together so well before walks! 10/10 would recommend

As an overprotective dog mom with an often unreasonable high bar for who takes care of my girls, Abby has met and exceeded all of my expectations. Abby started walking our dogs every day when I was 8 weeks post-partum, unable to walk them myself, and she quickly became a part of our inner circle. Here we are, almost 1 year later, and she continues to be the highlight to my dogs' day. Abby is kind, conscientious, reliable, patient, with extensive experience with pups of all kinds. She earned the trust of my skeptical and stubborn Sheepadoodle faster than most (and has administered her daily medication), and didn't balk at my 70lb Goldendoodle's energy and incessant need for pets. My dogs often wait by the window - paws up - hoping the noise in the backyard is Abby. If Abby is free, consider yourself lucky and book her immediately! You and your dogs will be better for it. :)

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
