“Ugur provides top-notch service walking our dog. He is kind and friendly. We hired him to walk our 7-month old puppy and she loves him. Although we hired him to walk our dog, when he came for a meet and greet, our cat warmed up to him immediately and let her pet him, which she normally doesn't do for most people. We highly recommend his services!”

“Wow, Shawn is AMAZING! Great with our pups. Prompt and very professional communication. Can’t say enough great things about her. Will absolutely work with her again!”

“Ashley is absolutely wonderful with my dog Gracie and is very accommodating and flexible. Gracie is quite timid and skittish and Ashley is great with her! Would highly recommend!”

“Victoria is so great! We have moved quite a bit and the number one task for us is to find a dog walker who Kona loves! Everyday Victoria comes, we come home to the happiest pup with fresh water and a nice report card!”

“Laura was reliable and dependable. Shiloh was excited to see Laura every time Laura came to take her out for a walk. Both Laura and Shiloh enjoyed their time together. It was a perfect match.”

“Sasha came in very clutch for us when our dog walker last minute canceled on us!! They were able to take our husky out twice and we couldn’t appreciate it more than we do! Thank you”

About: Hey there! I'm Alexa. I've been regularly boarding dogs and cats for 6 years, but have experience of 15+ years caring for animals 🐾 I've cared for small lap dogs, mixed/rescue breeds, and giant dogs. I live with my boyfriend (who loves animals and they always adore him) in our two bedroom apartment. I'm currently available for: - boarding in my home - dog or cat day care - drop-in visits - walks for dogs I'll always make sure your pet is as safe and happy as possible! I work from home and my schedule is always different, so I'm able to do walks or drop-in visits at various times with a max of 2 walks/visits per day. I am warm and nurturing. i love giving dogs and cats all the pats or belly rubs or playing with a favorite toy! Let me know if you want me to brush their coat while we're together. I've given oral medications to both dogs and cats, so let me know if that's needed for your pet.

About: I adore all animals. I have a very friendly one year old Devon Rex cat named Nardo who stays with me and my partner at our apartment, and my first kitty was a calico rescue named Tilly who I took care of with my Dad since I was 8 years old. I'm currently in school for marine biology! I live very close to multiple vets, er vets, and pet stores so if there's the unlikely emergency I am able to get wherever I need to go quickly. I'm currently working part time at a bank, three to four days a week. On my days off, I typically spend the majority of the day at home either baking, doing crafts, or playing with my cat. In the evenings, I do not typically have plans and tend to stay inside more often than not. I live in a two bedroom apartment and it's me, my partner, and our cat Nardo. Nardo is very friendly and great with other cats. Whether I'm in my home or yours, I'm more than happy to follow specific care instructions or requests. I know each animal has its own quirks so I'd be glad to follow along in the ways that make them comfortable.
About: My name is Jhonatan (but you can call me Jay) and I would love to take care of your best furrriend. I’m a 31 years old Brazilian folk that works with art so I have plenty of free time on my daily basis. I was raised with 4 dogs in Brazil, but unfortunately don’t own one. I have more than 10 years of experience in dog walking, pet sitting and pet boarding. I’m a makeup artist that has a side job as freelancer for selling makeup products but trying to work with pets more after a year of not doing so. I used to dog walk and pet sit by myself but stopped after some health issues (I’m healed now) and I’m trying to do only on Rover. I’ve signed up a few years back and did only one sitting but deleted the app. I know CPR and First Aid for pets so your best friend would be safe in my hands (if any natural incident ever comes to happen). I have experience with bigger (such as Great Dane) and smaller dogs (chihuahua), with elderly and puppies (as well as how to better train their behavior), with aggressive and non aggressive dogs, I’ve split fights before and also know some how to teach your dog to behave and walk better outside with other dogs. I used to work for a dog trainer and have learned some things that could help them. I’m currently working part time free lance for makeup brands and make my own schedule so I’d have plenty of time to spend with your furrriend. If I’m pet sitting I usually would make my schedule in a way that I’d have time to walk the dog a few hours a day, twice or 3 times a day and sleep with them. If dog walking I’d walk them for 30min, if allowed I’d love to bring them to a leashed hike if nearby. I always try to keep myself calm because from all years working with dogs it shows that they feed off people’s energy, I practice yoga and meditation so that way it helps to keep them calm and relaxed. In your home I’d feed and give them water, have them exercise so they spend their energy and they can have a nice sleep. On walks I give them water breaks if too hot and always watch for their behavior.
“Madeline was amazing. Reliable. communicative, great with our dog and a nice person on top of it all. If she ever comes back to the area, you'll be lucky to hire her before I do!”

“Lindsey is wonderful. She is reliable, timely, and very thoughtful. Our pup loves her walks with Lindsey and we trust and appreciate how great she is with our dog. We are repeat customers and I would highly recommend her!”

“Ryan is great and both an excitement and a comfort to our large (sometimes anxious) dog. So great to make sure our pup has the exercise she needs even when we aren’t able to provide it personally. Not only would I hire Ryan again, I have and plan to do so in the future!”

“Getting my Rover Card from Lauren is always a highlight in my day! My pup always looks so happy and I feel great knowing he has company on a long day when he’d otherwise be alone.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - West Medford
Lily has been going on walks with Isabel for the past week, and she has been absolutely wonderful! Isabel has such a warm, enthusiastic energy and clearly genuinely loves spending time with dogs, and Lily has been so happy going on his long walks with her. She’s incredibly thoughtful and attentive, always making sure his water is filled, and when Lily had an unexpected accident in the house one day, she even went above and beyond to clean it up for us. She’s also very knowledgeable about dogs and their behavior, wonderfully communicative and understanding, and just an absolute pleasure to work with. I’m so appreciative of the care and enthusiasm she brings to every walk!

Jacqueline is an excellent dog walker and I would definitely recommend her! She is friendly, highly responsive, and incredibly patient with my (sometimes sassy) terrier. My dog instantly liked her and I can tell they have fun on their walks, Jacqueline’s updates are always very detailed and the photos are so cute!

Shawn walked our Goldendoodles every day while we were away and a family member was housesitting. Excellent communication, reliable, and trustworthy, Shawn made it possible for us to feel comfortable that our boys were in good hands while we traveled. Would definitely work with Shawn again! Highly recommended!

Yingzi was a wonderful help when I needed a dog walker in a pinch. She was very polite, professional, and made sure she understood all my dog's needs! Yangzi clearly loves and understands dogs and I could tell that my dog Katana loved walking with her! She's very thoughtful and I would definitely recommend her to others.

Alexa was a superstar!! She was always on time and took amazing care of my energetic dog when I hurt my knee. She also brought up my packages which was super helpful. She is super sweet and I will definitely be using her again or referring her to friends in the future! Thanks again Alexa!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
