“My pup had the best time ever in the yard, chilling in the house, and befriending Betsy’s sweet dog. I even got a photo during the day. :-) Looking forward to her next stay!”

“Ben was super flexible with our schedule and very quick to respond / help us out. The whole family jumped in to keep our pup well engaged all day, and we sincerely appreciate their support. Will absolutely reach out again when in need!”

“Susan took great care of Bean! She was flexible with finding a time to meet before the stay and sent many updates throughout the stay. She was very on top of Bean's special kibble/treats and Bean came home happy!”

“Elizabeth and Rodrigo genuinely love Fitzgerald. Their home is loving and they are kind, communicative, and considerate dog lovers. We love visiting them cause Fitzgerald always wags his tail extra hard during drop offs, and comes home happy as can be. Anyone looking for a loving pair to watch their pup would be lucky to have them say yes!”

About: I love taking care of dogs and just hanging out with them. I work full-time onsite so I am only available after or before work hours to take them on walks and for stay over. However my husband works from home who also loves dog to keep them company during the day! I have a full time onsite job so I am not available during the day however my husband works from home so he is available. I love going for walks or runs in the mornings/ evenings before/ after work so I can take your dogs on walks as well. I love playing with them, and can give them a lot of attention. I live in a 2 bedroom apartment without a yard so, I can only take care of small dogs. They have plenty of places to roam around in the apartment. There is also a dog park and a 2.5mile loop near me where i can take them for playtimes and walks.
About: I provide a safe, loving, and fun environment for every dog. I have experience caring for puppies, adult dogs, and large breeds, including Golden Retrievers. I understand the importance of maintaining each dog’s routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, and lots of attention. I will treat your dog like a member of my own family and make sure they feel comfortable, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I am responsible, patient, and committed to giving pet parents peace of mind with regular updates and photos. I study Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and I am home for the rest of the day. On weekends, I am usually home all day, so I have plenty of time to provide attention, walks, playtime, and companionship. I can easily adjust my schedule to meet each pet’s needs and make sure they receive the care and love they deserve. I live with my boyfriend in a house, and we have a friendly 5-month-old Golden Retriever who loves being around other dogs. He sleeps in our bedroom with us and is treated like a member of our family. Every morning, he lets us know when he needs to go outside. Before we leave for class, we make sure he has fresh food and water, and we leave a puppy pad available in case he needs it while we’re away for a few hours. As soon as we get home, we take him for a walk, play with him, and spend quality time together. We also have a big backyard where dogs can safely play and get exercise. We regularly take our dog to the park, the lake, and even the beach because he loves the water and being outdoors. Since it’s just the three of us at home, we can give every dog plenty of attention, love, playtime, and care. My goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and happy, just like they do at home.
“Lexi took great care of Emmy during her daycare visit! She was very attentive to Emmy’s needs and made sure she felt comfortable and happy throughout the day. We appreciated all of the updates Lexi sent us during the visit!”

About: I've spent years caring for my own pets and the pets of friends and family, including feeding, walking, grooming, (such as nail clipping, toothbrushing, and hair-brushing) administering basic care, and recognizing when something doesn't seem right. I have also worked as a camp counselor, which has taught me how to be attentive to individual needs. I'm experienced with following routines, handling unexpected situations, and communicating with families. I'm currently working flexible part time hours, I can take care of pets any time except 2:30-4 on Mondays. This includes weekends. For my home, I live in a very pet-friendly neighborhood with dog parks all around and I live with roommates who are all experienced with pet care and are very happy to keep your pets company. I am happy to supply a litter box for cat owners. I aim to walk dogs about twice a day and keep them entertained and exercised. For cats, I usually schedule about 30 minutes of play time during dawn and dusk, when they are most active to keep them mentally stimulated and in good spirits.

About: Hi, I'm new to Rover but not new to dogs! With years of experience helping socialize dogs at a doggy daycare, fostering dogs, and being a pet parent myself, I’m well-equipped and excited to care of your dog. I live with my partner and work from home, so my schedule is flexible. I can provide your dog with personalized care, whether they need extra playtime, walks, or companionship throughout the day. My two dogs (Orbit, a 9-pound Shih Tzu/Chihuahua mix, and Mocha, a 12-pound Shih Tzu/Maltese/Yorkie mix) are playful and welcoming to new pups. We also have the space to separate dogs, if your pup prefers their own space. Rest assured, your dog will receive plenty of love, attention, and care during their stay. I look forward to meeting your dog and providing them with a safe and fun experience! I work from home and my schedule is flexible. I typically walk my own dogs 3-4 times a day. I would love to know what schedule works best for your dog, so I can provide that bit of consistency while they are away from home. We live in a home with a fenced in yard. Dogs are always supervised in the yard. We are also near a dog park and some walking paths. My goal is to provide a safe, calm, and enriching environment for your dog, the same kind I look for when I use Rover for my own dogs. Each dog is different so I want to make sure we have a conversation first to understand their unique needs. I want to understand their current routines, so I can maintain them while they are away from home.

Ejin was great! Even though she’ll be moving soon, she was kind enough to help us while we search for a long-term daycare sitter. She sent us photos throughout Mochi’s stay, and it looked like Mochi was able to relax and get some good rest at her place. Mochi was very calm and content when she returned home. We really appreciated Ejin’s care and communication.

Unfortunately, one of my dogs has cancer and I have a week of early morning trainings for work. (530a drop offs- Yikes!). Yesika is still willing to take her every day, work with the energy that she has that day, and offs care across the day (additional small meals, medication for nausea, etc). So glad that I have this resource.

Janette and her family, including their dog Luna, are so wonderful to our dog, Lenny. She is so kind and communicative! Lenny loves spending time with them and going for walks in their beautiful neighborhood. Thank you so much for taking such great care of our dog!

Elizabeth and Rodrigo were great with Oscar. They were flexible when I needed to shift my drop-off and pickup times, which made my day so much easier. They sent a few photos throughout the day too, which I always love getting. Oscar came home tired and happy, so he clearly had a good time. Would book with them again in a heartbeat. Thanks you two!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your West Medford commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
