“Dylan is just awesome. I moved to my apartment and under last minute circumstances I needed someone to take care of my Dog, Jolene, while I work long hours. He stepped right up and put my mind at ease. He made sure she was comfortable and even helped get her to eat her food! (Had some anxiety after moving) 10/10 recommend!”

“Jessica is so sweet ! Buddy is anxious when left alone and was so reassuring to see how calm she was when we arrived home ..recommended Jessica highly will be requesting her for future dates !”

“Rosemary was wonderful! So communicative and prompt. Always keeping me informed of everything going on. My little guy was a little shy at first so she brought her own dog as a companion and it worked like a charm. She's great!”

“Candi has been wonderful with my dog, Pepper! She’s done several drop-ins for me and always follows the directions I leave for feeding and care to a T, which gives me peace of mind. Today she also took Pepper out for a walk, and everything went smoothly. Pepper ! I really appreciate her reliability, clear communication, and the care she shows. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve taken care of animals of many species my whole life. From dogs, cats, lizards, snakes, fish, frogs, and more, I know how to care for your animal! I currently have 10 pets of my own and work at a pet store as a manager where I’ve done in depth training on animal care and safety. I’m currently working part time and have my schedule wide open for your furry (or not so furry) friends! Feel free to reach out anytime! I would prefer to care for your dogs and cats in your home as I have my own dog and cats at home. However I have much space for any small animals and scaly friends that may need to bunk for a bit 😉 Your four legged family members will be loved and cared for like they’re my own animals with daily updates, pictures, and fun!
About: I am a dog person. Just lost my best friend in October and thought it would be nice to help others with their babies. I will be honest, I don’t have any special skills, just a lot of love to share with your pet while you’re away. I work Monday through Friday 6:30 AM to 1 PM. My afternoons are open for walking and playing. My weekends are open unless I am away. I have a nice big fenced in yard and don’t go out much during the week. Have a lot of friends with dogs for playdates.
“I highly recommend Guillermo! He is always punctual, extremely reliable, and genuinely caring towards our lovely Mylo. His passion for animals is evident, and it gives us great peace of mind knowing our dog is in such good hands. Each walk is followed by a thoughtful update with pictures, which we greatly appreciate !!!”

“Lori has been so wonderful with our pup! He can be very attached to us at times and she's been so patient with him. Now he is scratching at the door to walk with her when she arrives! We feel so lucky to have Lori as our dog walker and know Maverick is in such good care!”

“Courtney is great! She was professional, helpful, and communicative. She handled my one year old 55-pound dog well. I would be happy to recommend her and hire her again!”

About: Hi! I’m an animal husbandry trainer for seals and sea lions. However, I grew up with dogs, cats, rabbits, and goats! I can’t wait to meet your furry friend. I also have availability after 6:00pm Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. I work from Thursday-Saturday at an aquarium (7am-4:30). I will make sure that your pet is treated with proper care and attention. If you have a shy animal, I will be happy to be patient, soft voiced, and gentle. About: I have always loved animals and have taken care of many dogs around my neighborhood and within my family, so I am just looking to spread my care farther and provide the best services for you and your dogs! I also just got my account back which had lots of issues before, so I apologize sincerely for that! From Mid-May to end of August, I will be available Monday-Friday, with more specific hours on the weekends! Please reach out as I am flexible! I have a fenced yard and an older dog who is extremely calm and gentle with other dogs. My neighborhood is extremely walkable, safe, and not busy at all.
About: I have been a huge dog lover ever since I was little! I have two years of experience as a pet caregiver and love it! I am working part time, but every week is a little different! Some weekdays days I am available anytime after 1pm, but other times I am available the whole day. I am also very available on weekends! While I do not take dogs in my home, I will always ensure that your home and dog are very well taken care of! I always want pets to be comfortable in their own space, so I will do whatever is needed in order to make that happen.

I highly recommend Sophia! She's reliable and responsible. Her energy is gentle and positive. My girl, who has horrible separation anxiety, is slow to trust usually, but never looked back when Sophia offered a walk. It is a huge comfort to have someone as trustworthy as Sophia.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
