“Jennifer was so excited to meet Ruby and she clearly loves animals. He had a great day with her and her 2 little doggies. She even had gifts to send home with him. Highly recommend and Ruby will be thrilled to see her again soon!”

“Natali took such great care of our 11 month old puppy during his first overnight stay away from home. She was patient, communicative, and kept us updated throughout the stay, which gave us so much peace of mind. Even though he was a little nervous from being in a new environment, she was incredibly understanding and attentive to his needs. We could tell he was well cared for and had a great time with Natali and Rocko. We’d absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter!”

About: Hi pet parents! My name is Jaz, and I’m a huge animal lover with 10+ years of experience caring for pets. I grew up with both cats and dogs, and family and friends have always relied on me to watch, walk, and care for their pets over the years. I currently have a cat of my own, but I’m definitely a big dog lover too. If it were up to me, I’d probably have five cats and five dogs but my husband says otherwise, so pet sitting is the perfect compromise. 😂 I’m happy to accommodate your pet’s needs and routines however I can, and I’ll always keep you updated with plenty of pictures and check-ins so you know your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for. If your dog is more comfortable in a cat free environment, I’m also happy to have my cat stay with nearby family during their visit. I’d love the chance to meet you and your furry family member! Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine because I homeschool, which allows me to be flexible with my time. I love going on walks and spending time outdoors together as a family, so your pet would fit right into the fun and daily adventures. Your pet would get lots of attention, companionship, playtime, and care throughout the day not just quick check-ins. Because of my flexible schedule I can give your pet attention and care throughout the day. I will make sure your pet has all of their needs met, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, playtime, exercise, and lots of love. We’re also happy to go the extra mile when needed, whether that means extra walks, keeping up with your pet’s usual routine, administering basic medications, or giving them extra comfort and attention if they’re feeling anxious while away from home. We do live in an apartment, but we make sure pets get plenty of outdoor time and exercise. There are lots of great walking areas nearby, as well as a dog park close to us where your dog can safely run around and burn off energy, and won't feel stuck inside all day.
“Masha is amazing! I knew Luna was in caring hands from the first moment I met Masha. She was always responsive and sent us updates and pictures throughout the day. Luna came home happy and tired from all her adventures with Masha. We will definitely be using her again to watch Luna!”

About: I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, ages, and energy levels for most of my life, from helping friends and family to raising my own high-energy pup! I’m especially comfortable with active breeds and understand the importance of structure, routine, and mental stimulation—not just exercise. I take a thoughtful, attentive approach to every dog in my care, paying close attention to behavior, energy levels, and individual needs. Whether it’s reinforcing basic training, managing overstimulation, or just making sure your dog feels safe and comfortable, I aim to create a calm, consistent environment. My background in hospitality means I’m highly reliable, communicative, and detail-oriented. You can expect regular updates, photos, and the peace of mind that your dog is being genuinely cared for—not just watched. I work from home doing consulting, which gives me a lot of flexibility to offer plenty of attention, potty breaks, and care for dogs staying in my home, as well as availability throughout the day for walks and drop-in visits around the North Shore. My GSP Milo is my constant work-from-home sidekick and is always happy to keep your pup company and play as much as they’d like! If your dog enjoys having a buddy, he can also join for walks or drop-in visits at your hose—but if they have more of preference for solo time, he’s more than happy to sit that one out. Whether I’m hosting your dog, visiting your home, or taking them out for a walk, my goal is always the same: to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved—with a good dose of fun mixed in. I take a thoughtful, low-stress approach and pay close attention to each dog’s behavior, energy level, and boundaries. Introductions to new friends (furry or human!) are always done slowly and intentionally so everyone feels comfortable. I aim to keep a structured but relaxed environment that helps dogs settle in without becoming overwhelmed. I’m happy to follow any routines or preferences you have—whether that’s crate training, sleep setup, feeding guidelines, or walk style—and I always provide regular updates and photos so you know exactly how your dog is doing. Potty breaks are typically every 2 hours or so, and more frequently for puppies or senior dogs as needed. I’m also very active (running, hiking, getting outside whenever I can), so I’m always happy to give higher-energy dogs the exercise they need, while still making sure they have time to rest and reset. I’m comfortable administering medications or supplements as needed, and with a young pup at home, our space is already very dog-friendly—puppy-proofed, with gates available for separation if needed, plenty of toys, and multiple crate options to help every dog feel safe and settled.
“Natasha was a great sitter for Cujo! She was very responsive, flexible with our timing, and showed a lot of care for our pup. She sent video and picture updates and gave him a lot of play time outside! Would recommend to anyone in the area looking for a caring sitter.”

About: I have been always a pet lover since my childhood I grow up around many different species of animals. I had rabbits, small birds, big parrots , guinea pigs, and many stray cats and dogs that my family rescued from the streets of Brazil which is my original place of birth. I think the joy, companionship and unconditional love they give to us It’s priceless. Pets are amazing and very special to me because they make my life so much happier. I work most days from home as a dog groomer, which give me the flexibility to play with my puppies and yours during the day and take care of their needs at night. I have two friendly golden retrievers names, Rocky and Skyla they enjoy to play and meet new friends. I currently offer play groups two times per week at my house where they can get to play and run around with other dogs. I also have a huge backyard all fenced and with cameras to make sure our babies are safe and secured all the time. During the summer, they can enjoy themselves playing inside the dog pool with sprinklers and doing other water activities to freshen up but if they prefer they can just relax under the shade of the one many trees in the backyard . They are going to feel that they are in a pet resort where they can run free and happy during their stay. About: I treat every animal exactly as if they were my own. With over 15 years of experience caring for dogs, cats, and horses, my background is deeply rooted in animal welfare. Growing up in Maryland, I volunteered at a local animal rescue, interned with an equine veterinary clinic, and served as a volunteer and instructor in equine therapy. I came to Boston for college and have resided here ever since! I am still an avid equestrian today, and this lifelong dedication to animals has shaped my approach to pet care: I am incredibly detail-oriented, highly observant, and bring infinite patience to every animal's unique needs. I grew up surrounded by large dogs—including three wonderful Labradors—as well as multiple cats. Recently, my husband, Johnny, and I moved to Marblehead, where we share our home with our two sweet cats, Ozzy and Willis. What to Expect When You Book With Me: Constant Companionship: As a working professional in the consulting industry who is fully remote, my flexible schedule allows me to provide consistent, reliable supervision. I ensure your pets receive lots of daytime companionship and are never left alone for more than 4-5 hours a day. Tailored Attention: Family and friends have always relied on me for meticulous care. I make it a priority to learn everything about your pet's routine, quirks, and needs to ensure they are happy and safe. Professional & Insured: As an established, fully independently insured pet care professional, I am always happy to discuss flexible care and scheduling arrangements that work best for your family. Reliability & Safety: I have my own reliable vehicle, allowing for complete flexibility with visits and peace of mind in the unlikely event of an emergency. Meet & Greets: Finding the right match is important! I am always happy to schedule a virtual or in-person meet-and-greet to ensure we are a mutual fit. Please note: For house sitting, I currently accept booking requests a maximum of 3 months in advance. Thank you for understanding! I work fully remote from my home. For house sitting, I use your house as a homebase to make your pet feel comfortable and used to their normal routine. I am able to drop in, house sit, and walk your furry friend, feed and play with your dog or cat, and everything in between (and of course take many pictures!)

I walk him twice a day and have trained him to sit, lie down, stay, fetch the ball, come back, and follow several other commands. He is well-trained. I also bake fresh homemade dog treats for him. Weihai works from home all day, he will be home with dogs all the time, Xinyue that’s me I usually walk the dog in the morning and play with him in the yard after I get home. I have shorter work hours during the summer, so I’ll be home often to take care of them. I’m also usually available on weekends and love taking dogs on hikes, to the park, or to the beach. We have a fenced yard and a 4-year-Golden Retriever named Igo, who is super friendly with both dogs and people. There’s also a dog door that leads to the yard. If your dog stays with Igo and us, they’ll be welcome to cuddle on the couch or relax in the yard—whatever they prefer! But I’ll never leave the dog along in the yard.

Beth was great and my dog came home a very happy pup! When we arrived, she had already familiarized herself with his diet instructions, which gave me peace of mind from the start. She also sent regular updates and a photo during the stay. We’ll definitely book with Beth again!

Natali took such great care of our 11 month old puppy during his first overnight stay away from home. She was patient, communicative, and kept us updated throughout the stay, which gave us so much peace of mind. Even though he was a little nervous from being in a new environment, she was incredibly understanding and attentive to his needs. We could tell he was well cared for and had a great time with Natali and Rocko. We’d absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter!

We can’t say enough good things about AnnMarie! She took incredible care of our 10-week-old puppy, Sally, while I was traveling for work. Sally was too young for regular doggy daycare, and AnnMarie stepped in so she wouldn’t have to be alone for long stretches while her dad was at work. As first-time Rover users and first-time puppy parents, we were understandably nervous leaving her for the first time, but AnnMarie immediately put us at ease. She treated Sally like her own pup, gave her so much love and attention, and kept us updated throughout the day, which meant everything to us. Sally had a great time and was clearly happy, comfortable, and well cared for. We’re so grateful we found AnnMarie. Highly, highly recommend!

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
