About: I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember and have always been the person who gets excited when there’s a dog in the room. My family has had our dog for the past 10 years, so I’m very comfortable with the day-to-day realities of caring for a dog—from walks, feeding, playtime, and keeping them company to simply making sure they’re comfortable and well cared for. I’ve also helped care for and pet-sit dogs for friends and others over the years. While I’m new to Rover, I’m definitely not new to being around dogs or taking care of them. I’m a physician by training and currently have a very flexible schedule due to a recent surgery, which gives me plenty of time and attention to devote to the dogs I care for. I’m responsible, dependable, attentive to details, and take seriously the trust involved in having someone else care for a member of your family. Most importantly, I genuinely love dogs and would be thrilled to spend some of my extra time walking, playing with, and caring for yours! My schedule is currently very flexible, with a combination of remote research and other flexible work. I’m available for walks and drop-ins throughout the week in the Cambridge/Boston area and can often accommodate mornings, afternoons, evenings, and last-minute requests. I’m happy to work around your dog’s usual routine whenever possible. I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog—and your home—in someone else’s care. I’ll follow your instructions closely, including your dog’s normal walking route, feeding schedule, medications, and any behavioral or safety considerations. On walks, I’m attentive to traffic, other dogs, and anything else that could pose a risk. I’m also happy to send photos and updates so you know your pup is safe and having a good time!

She easily captured all the information she needed during our meet-and-greet, and we loved the detailed summaries and photos she shared after each visit. Amanda went above and beyond even what we asked of her. For example, we wanted it to be a light lift, so we said it was fine to bag up the spent litter and leave it in the trash bin in our apartment. Amanda went the extra mile and took the litter out to our external trash can, so we didn't have to deal with it when we got home. We mainly wanted someone to change the litter and check on food and water while we were gone, but Amanda also spent some quality time petting and playing with Mimi (Mochi is shy), which both Mimi and we greatly appreciated. We don't have the need for a sitter often, but when the need arises again, I'd rebook with Amanda in a heartbeat!”

About: I've grown up with dogs of all kinds and ages (my childhood dog- the most precious shapendoes- passed recently at age 15). I'm a graduate student with a flexible schedule, and could arrange to spend time with your dog during regular work days! Please reach out with any questions! Warmly, Alex I spend most of my time reading, writing, and studying, which all can (and should!) be done in the presence of a dog! Most of my work is remote! I’ve taken care of dogs with a variety of different needs- including an elderly fellow who needed to be carried up stairs, a hearing-impaired friend who needed visual cues, and a small sir who needed extra supervision around household and neighborhood hazards.

About: I’ve always had at least two dogs in the house, and have always loved caring for cats! I have plenty of experience taking care of horses and chickens, and I’m no stranger to taking care of many pets at one time, for example, 3 large dogs, 3 cats and 3 horses at the same time! I have a super open availability this summer, with more than enough time for late nights, early mornings, and overnight work! I have reliable transportation and a super free schedule to care for furry friends! I live in a condo with two elderly chihuahuas (almost 15 years old!) named Glory and Hero, as well as a super loving mutt rescue named Mysti! I love going for long walks with Mysti, and taking my chihuahuas for nice short walks as they get older. Making sure Mysti gets the proper exercise and attention is super important as she is a medium sized dog in a condo, as well as accommodating my older dogs as they age.

About: Hello and thank you for visiting my page! I am a lover of all animals, and I have had both cats and dogs my whole life. I’ve had my cat, Burt Macklin (if you’re a fan of Parks and Rec) for over five years and he is my favorite creature! I have no problem taking care of cats of all sizes and am comfortable administering oral medication. I currently can’t own a dog in my apartment, so I love walking and taking care of dogs to get my fix. I can take care of dogs of all sizes and ages, and I’ll be sure to ask about their walking behaviors and any habits/training they’re working on. I am able to do overnight stays when needed and aim to give your house lion and/or pooch the best care while their human(s) are away. I am a very positive and optimistic person, so I will always bring an upbeat attitude to all my dog walks. I am an open book and can answer any questions as needed. Hope to meet you and your fur child! I’m currently working part-time and have lots of flexibility during the week and on weekends. I also have a car and am able to travel with your pet if needed. About: I grown up in a household that has always had dogs. Family, friends, and neighbors have relied on me to take care of their pets since I was 12. I miss taking care of my parents dog, so I would love to take care of yours! I am active so I would love to take your pet on walks or play in the park. I have a fenced in yard and near plenty of parks, and am very aware of my surroundings inside and outside. I work remotely Wednesday through Friday and can schedule walks or sittings around my job. I am also available weekends at any time if day. Im Amanda, lover of all pets young and old, big and small. We can do walks, hikes, even to a play day at the park. I have a pet friendly apartment and a yard. Any specific requests for them? Let me know! I allow them on my bed and couch, unless you prefer them not to.
