About: I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember and have always been the person who gets excited when there’s a dog in the room. My family has had our dog for the past 10 years, so I’m very comfortable with the day-to-day realities of caring for a dog—from walks, feeding, playtime, and keeping them company to simply making sure they’re comfortable and well cared for. I’ve also helped care for and pet-sit dogs for friends and others over the years. While I’m new to Rover, I’m definitely not new to being around dogs or taking care of them. I’m a physician by training and currently have a very flexible schedule due to a recent surgery, which gives me plenty of time and attention to devote to the dogs I care for. I’m responsible, dependable, attentive to details, and take seriously the trust involved in having someone else care for a member of your family. Most importantly, I genuinely love dogs and would be thrilled to spend some of my extra time walking, playing with, and caring for yours! My schedule is currently very flexible, with a combination of remote research and other flexible work. I’m available for walks and drop-ins throughout the week in the Cambridge/Boston area and can often accommodate mornings, afternoons, evenings, and last-minute requests. I’m happy to work around your dog’s usual routine whenever possible. I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog—and your home—in someone else’s care. I’ll follow your instructions closely, including your dog’s normal walking route, feeding schedule, medications, and any behavioral or safety considerations. On walks, I’m attentive to traffic, other dogs, and anything else that could pose a risk. I’m also happy to send photos and updates so you know your pup is safe and having a good time!

I will follow your pet's routine, including feeding, medications, walks, playtime, grooming, and any special care instructions. My goal is to keep your pet comfortable in their familiar environment while ensuring their safety, happiness, and well-being. I'll also send regular photos, videos, and updates so you always know how your pet is doing. Your pets will be leashed during walks, unless you've instructed otherwise in a secure area. In the event of an emergency, I am more than happy to take your pet to your preferred veterinarian if transportation can be arranged, such as through Uber or Lyft.

About: I've grown up with dogs of all kinds and ages (my childhood dog- the most precious shapendoes- passed recently at age 15). I'm a graduate student with a flexible schedule, and could arrange to spend time with your dog during regular work days! Please reach out with any questions! Warmly, Alex I spend most of my time reading, writing, and studying, which all can (and should!) be done in the presence of a dog! Most of my work is remote! I’ve taken care of dogs with a variety of different needs- including an elderly fellow who needed to be carried up stairs, a hearing-impaired friend who needed visual cues, and a small sir who needed extra supervision around household and neighborhood hazards.

About: A lot of my experience comes from caring for my girlfriend's two dogs, who are basically my two best friends—a Japanese Chin and a Lhasa-Poo. Whenever her parents are out of town, I'm usually the one taking care of them. We've even watched them for weeks at a time while their family was traveling, so I'm comfortable with everything from feeding and walks to playtime, keeping them on their routine, and making sure they get plenty of attention. I've also known our Lhasa-Poo since she was a puppy. When she first came home, my girlfriend and I spent that entire first week with her, helping her adjust to a new environment, keeping her company at night, and making sure she felt safe and comfortable. More than anything, I'm just a huge dog lover. Whenever I go back home to India, I spend a lot of my time hanging out with the neighborhood stray dogs. They've become part of my visits home. I know every dog is different, and my goal is always to make them feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you're away. I'll care for your dog the same way I care for the dogs in my own life: with lots of attention, affection, and plenty of updates so you know they're doing well. I work from home, so I'm around throughout the day and have a very flexible schedule. That means I can take dogs out for regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and make sure they're never left alone for long. I love staying active, so I'm always happy to fit in extra walks or outdoor time if your pup enjoys it. I also welcome boarding on most weekends, unless I'm out of town, which isn't very often. My goal is to make sure your dog feels comfortable, gets plenty of attention, and sticks to their normal routine while you're away. I live in a very dog-friendly apartment, and I'm very used to sharing my space with dogs. I help care for my girlfriend's two pups regularly, so having dogs around the house is something I'm completely comfortable with. In my home, dogs are welcome to roam freely and make themselves at home—they're welcome on the couch and in any room unless you have different rules you'd like me to follow. I know every dog has their own routine, so I'm happy to stick to whatever they're used to, whether that's crate training, scheduled feeding times, or specific walking routines. Once again, my goal is to make your dog feel as comfortable and stress-free as possible while you're away.

About: Like most reasonable people, I’ve loved animals my whole life. I spent many Saturdays as a young adult just hanging out and volunteering at the animal shelter because it made me so happy. I think what sets me apart from other sitters is that I’m very patient, self-aware, and I’m not easily grossed out. I’ve sat still for hours waiting for an animal to trust me enough to approach me. I make sure to read their bodies before extending my hand, and I am conscientious of making noise because I want them to be comfortable. I don’t have a weak stomach when it comes to shedding, drool, or accidents. I am a substitute teacher for elementary schools in the area and I work when I can, but there are many days when there are no listings available, or that I’m working partial days. I’m generally pretty free. I will follow the direction and guidelines of the pet owner to keep the animal safe. I am a cautious person and would not let somebody else’s pet outside without a harness or secure fence unless otherwise directed.
