About: Please read :) I have taken care of my 14 year old chihuahua since he was a puppy! I adopted both my cats as kittens and they’re now 4 and 1 year old. Please let me know if your pet gets aggressive around people or other pets! I’m currently self-employed so I can work based on you and your pet’s needs! I’m available for sitting on weekdays Mon-Fri. About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life, including two Labrador Retrievers named Maverick and Goose, and a Beagle that I cared for over 10 years, so I’m very comfortable with daily routines, exercise, and understanding different personalities. I’ve also done several overnight house-sitting and dog care jobs, working with a wide range of breeds, from small dogs like pugs to larger, high-energy dogs like huskies. I’ve always had a genuine love for animals and caring for them. The first animal I really fell in love with was a manatee when I was about 5 years old living in Florida, and that kind of stuck with me. My time as a kid was spent at the beach boogie boarding out into the ocean hoping a dolphin would find me and become my friend. Growing up, I loved going to the aquarium and the zoo to learn about different animals, and I’ve always been especially drawn to red pandas and stingrays. That curiosity and appreciation carries over into how I care for pets—I really enjoy getting to know each animal’s personality and making sure they feel safe and happy. In addition, I have a lot of hands-on caregiving experience through taking care of my brother who has special needs, as well as working with special needs youth. That’s taught me to be patient, attentive, and very in tune with individual needs, which I bring into how I care for animals as well. Pet care honestly fits into my routine really naturally because it’s something I genuinely enjoy and look forward to. I have a part-time job in the mornings and some evenings, so I have a lot of flexibility during the day to spend quality time with dogs—whether that’s going on long walks, stopping by for visits, or just hanging out and keeping them company. I grew up with dogs and took care of my Beagle for 10 years, so I’m very used to building my day around their needs. It doesn’t feel like a task to me—it’s something I love doing. Being around dogs, getting outside, and making sure they’re happy and cared for is something I naturally make time for every day. I focus on making pets feel comfortable, safe, and at ease by sticking closely to their normal routine. I know how important consistency is, so I follow feeding schedules, walk times, and any specific instructions carefully. When I’m in a client’s home, I’m very respectful of their space and make sure their dog is always supervised and within my sight. I pay attention to their behavior and energy so I can respond to what they need, whether that’s a long walk, playtime, or just relaxing together so they don’t feel alone. If I’m caring for a pet in my own home, I create a calm, safe environment where they get plenty of attention, exercise, and downtime. I really just try to treat every dog like my own and make sure they feel happy and cared for the whole time.

About: A lot of my experience comes from caring for my girlfriend's two dogs, who are basically my two best friends—a Japanese Chin and a Lhasa-Poo. Whenever her parents are out of town, I'm usually the one taking care of them. We've even watched them for weeks at a time while their family was traveling, so I'm comfortable with everything from feeding and walks to playtime, keeping them on their routine, and making sure they get plenty of attention. I've also known our Lhasa-Poo since she was a puppy. When she first came home, my girlfriend and I spent that entire first week with her, helping her adjust to a new environment, keeping her company at night, and making sure she felt safe and comfortable. More than anything, I'm just a huge dog lover. Whenever I go back home to India, I spend a lot of my time hanging out with the neighborhood stray dogs. They've become part of my visits home. I know every dog is different, and my goal is always to make them feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you're away. I'll care for your dog the same way I care for the dogs in my own life: with lots of attention, affection, and plenty of updates so you know they're doing well. I work from home, so I'm around throughout the day and have a very flexible schedule. That means I can take dogs out for regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and make sure they're never left alone for long. I love staying active, so I'm always happy to fit in extra walks or outdoor time if your pup enjoys it. I also welcome boarding on most weekends, unless I'm out of town, which isn't very often. My goal is to make sure your dog feels comfortable, gets plenty of attention, and sticks to their normal routine while you're away. I live in a very dog-friendly apartment, and I'm very used to sharing my space with dogs. I help care for my girlfriend's two pups regularly, so having dogs around the house is something I'm completely comfortable with. In my home, dogs are welcome to roam freely and make themselves at home—they're welcome on the couch and in any room unless you have different rules you'd like me to follow. I know every dog has their own routine, so I'm happy to stick to whatever they're used to, whether that's crate training, scheduled feeding times, or specific walking routines. Once again, my goal is to make your dog feel as comfortable and stress-free as possible while you're away.

About: I’ve cared for numerous different kinds of animals over the last 9 years, especially dogs and cats! I’ve spent several years caring for an old pup that needs daily medication and special care. I’ve raised a high energy puppy to be a very sweet and gentle well trained baby. I know how to get your pups energy out and care for your older animals. I have a sweet 15 year old cat & am experienced in administering medication to cats. I am professional, reliable and provide detailed updates and lots of photos so you can see your babies while you’re away! I am working part time and have plenty of time to play with your pets! I take my own dogs on walks 2-3 times a day, in addition to 1-2 play sessions with frisbee or fetch. My pups are my passion and I would love to have yours join the crew for a bit! I have two friendly dogs to keep your pets entertained and happy! I take them on several walks a day and several play sessions. I have a separate area for your pet if they prefer or need their space. My home is safe, fun, yet calm at the right times!

About: I have tried to live life around as many animals as possible. Grew up with dogs and cats and now am a proud cat dad. I pride myself on being punctual, responsible, and caring. I have taken care of dogs for family and friends for years. Being a Rover customer has encouraged me to be the best possible sitter, walker, visitor that I could be. I respect people's boundaries and animal's boundaries as well. I would prefer to meet you and your pet before we confirm sitting or visits just to make sure everyone is comfortable(especially your pets!). I am currently working part time and have lots of available time to walk, sit, and visit your cats or dogs. I can do multiple visits per days in Somerville if need be. I would prefer to take time to meet you and your pets before booking. I fully understand the concerns of having people in your home and treat spaces like I would want my home treated. I'm happy to clean litter boxes per directions and would always put things (food, leashes, toys, etc..) back in their place as directed. if you were to be out of town and asked me to retrieve mail, monitor lights and other utilities I would do that to the best of my abilities as well. As someone who has had Rover sitters come visit my cat Pepper I appreciate that extra effort that many of them have put forth. I would also be happy to communicate all visits through the app or phones with pictures and quick updates.

What sets me apart from other pet sitters is the lifetime of hands-on experience I’ve had with animals and the calm, attentive care I provide. About: Like most reasonable people, I’ve loved animals my whole life. I spent many Saturdays as a young adult just hanging out and volunteering at the animal shelter because it made me so happy. I think what sets me apart from other sitters is that I’m very patient, self-aware, and I’m not easily grossed out. I’ve sat still for hours waiting for an animal to trust me enough to approach me. I make sure to read their bodies before extending my hand, and I am conscientious of making noise because I want them to be comfortable. I don’t have a weak stomach when it comes to shedding, drool, or accidents. I am a substitute teacher for elementary schools in the area and I work when I can, but there are many days when there are no listings available, or that I’m working partial days. I’m generally pretty free. I will follow the direction and guidelines of the pet owner to keep the animal safe. I am a cautious person and would not let somebody else’s pet outside without a harness or secure fence unless otherwise directed.

About: I’ve taken care of my neighbors and friends pets since middle school and love interacting with pets and meeting new people! I’m responsible, communicate often, and like planning ahead. I’m a student and am free evenings and weekends for drop ins as well as multi-day pet sitting at your house. I’m flexible in the afternoon and evening hours as well as early mornings. About: Hello! My name is Annie and I have been a dog lover for my entire life, at one point my family owned 5 dogs! I graduated from UMass Amherst in 2017 and during my 4 years there I was a volunteer at a greyhound rescue that took in retired racing greyhounds. During my time there I learned how to care for dogs with many different needs and temperments and I discovered a passion for taking care of dogs. I currently live in an house in Oak Bluffs with my 8 year old goldendoodle Maya and 4 year old labradoodle Luna. I have a fully fenced in yard and work from home so I am able to be with your pups all day and give them lots of attention, potty breaks, and playtime. My husband and I also walk the dogs together frequently and we would be happy to take your pups out on walks as well! I am currently working full time from home so your pup will be able to chill with me all day! My older dog is very relaxed and likes to sleep most of the day but my younger dog LOVES to play and if you have a dog that loves to play I have a big backyard for them to play in! I have a larger fenced in back yard that is great for dogs to relax or play in. When walking outside I will always have your dogs on a leash.
