“Thomas is such a gem!!! Book him! He’s punctual, communicates well, and is patient. My dog Cairo is not everyone’s ’cup of tea’ (not that I care, since I love him) but he’s vocal at times from excitement and has high energy as a 2 year old Aussiedoodle. Thomas arrived on time, and took Cairo on an hour long dog walk. Although it was 80+ degree humid weather with no breeze, he did it with a smile on his face. Moving forward, whenever I need a walker for Cairo (most likely 1x weekly), I will contact Thomas to check his availability. And next time Thomas, I’ll have a nice cold unopened bottled water for you. Thomas, thank you for bonding with Cairo and accepting his high energy level. Not sure if you’re told this enough, but you are absolutely amazing!”

“Elizabeth was great! She was able to walk our puppy with less than 24 hours notice. I had a narrow window of time to give her the lowdown of what she needed to know, and she was a trooper in taking it all in and executing what we asked for our Maple’s walk on a hot day.”

“Leigh was great with my dog and a guest dog that she agreed to care for on short notice! She was professional, caring and clearly wanted to provide special care fitting my pets. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a new sitter!”

About: Hi there! I'm a lifelong animal lover and proud former fur mom to two amazing cats and a wonderful dog. They brought immeasurable love, laughter, and lessons into my life. Though I’m not currently able to commit to having pets of my own, I deeply miss the companionship and joy animals bring. That’s why I’ve joined Rover - to stay connected to the world of wagging tails, soft purrs, and loving snuggles. Whether it’s going for walks, playtime, feeding, or just curling up with your pet, I treat every furry friend like family. I have hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats through all stages of life. I raised my dog, Scrappy, a Jack-a-poo, from a young age through his senior years. He was very intelligent, stubborn, and needed space from other dogs and people, so I managed his walks with care - always making sure he was comfortable and had a safe space. As he aged, I adapted his routine, including stroller walks when needed. I handled everything from grooming and feeding a picky eater to administering medications and wiping paws (yes, even butts when needed). I also raised two cats, Fufinho and Chase, from kittenhood. Fufinho developed diabetes and pancreatitis in his senior years, which required a strict medication schedule, including insulin shots and IV fluids. Chase, who had kidney failure, also required close monitoring and advanced care. In addition, I cat-sit and dog-sit for my furry nieces - helping with walks, feeding, litter scooping, and giving them love, comfort, and attention while their owners are away. I’m confident and compassionate when it comes to furry babies, and I respect their space, allowing them to take the lead in the relationship. I understand it can be overwhelming or stressful for some pets, and I always approach them with patience, kindness, and care. I believe that animals have a way of grounding us, awakening parts of our soul we didn’t even know were sleeping. Their love is pure, their presence is healing, and every moment with them is a gift... I currently work full-time during the week, so I’m starting slow and offering weekend availability for now. I’m happy to help with cat visits, dog walks, or drop-ins on Saturdays and Sundays and possibly some weekday evenings with notice. As I ease into a schedule, I’ll open up more availability, but I’m committed to giving each baby the attention and care they deserve. At this time, I’m not offering pet boarding in my home — but it’s something I may consider in the future after getting to know your furry baby and building mutual trust. Their comfort and well-being come first, and I want to make sure any environment feels like home for them. While I don’t have a fenced yard, I do have cozy pet beds, bowls, toys, and access to lovely parks in the surrounding area for safe, leashed walks. If and when I begin offering boarding, it will be thoughtfully planned with your pet’s personality and needs in mind.

About: Hi everyone! My name is Maddie. I’ve been around my dogs my whole life and I’ve been taking care of dogs since middle school. I had a Portuguese Water Dog growing up, and have always loved volunteering to walk and spend nights with my neighbors’ dogs, as well. In college, I walked dogs for professors and people living in town. I would love nothing more than to help you out with your dog :). I’m responsive and organized, and typically have no issue picking up last-minute requests! I’m working a hybrid clinical research job that has fairly flexible hours, and I love breaking my day up with some fun dog time :). For walks and drop-ins, I will be sure to understand any particular details ahead of time to ensure your dog’s safety. As an athlete, I have no trouble with strong dogs on the leash.

About: hi, I’m David – an attorney by trade and a dog lover at heart, my partner, and I share our home with Harriet, our gentle, senior rescue, and we’d love to welcome your dog into our peaceful, dog, friendly home. I work from home with a very flexible schedule, which means your dog will get plenty of attention, walks, and care for all the day. I work from home, so my schedule is very flexible. I can fit pet care easily into my daily schedule. I can get out of the house any time during the day. My house is close to several parks and two major dog parks, which means there will be lots of frequent and fun walks with me! I also provide one-on-one time throughout the day. I follow each dog’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, medication, and preferred activities. If your dog prefers not to mingle with Harriet, I can keep her on a different level in the house. Your dog will have their own privacy.

About: I have been taking care of dogs from a very young age. My first Pet friend was our family elderly dog, I was responsible for his daily walks, feeding and bathing. He very quickly became a dear friend. Since then I have been surrounded by dogs and cats, taking care of them in different ways, whether they are mine or family and friends’ I get along with all their different personalities and breeds, and always attempt to make them as comfortable as possible, by adjusting my style according to their personality. I’m currently studying for my medical licensing exams and would love a little pet break in between hectic study days. I always have a lot of energy to spare which I would love to exert by playing with cats and dogs. I will always try and introduce myself in a very calm and gentle manner to the pet, I’m always very attentive to their bodily cues and change my approach according to the response.

About: I grew up with 2 amazing dogs (labradoodle and border terrier) and I took care of them daily. I would also take care of friends’ dogs frequently. I have experience with young and old dogs. I love hanging out with dogs and getting to know them! I work from home and I have a flexible schedule. I can work out a pet care schedule that fits most people’s needs. Just contact me and I’m sure we can figure it out. I always listen to the owner’s requests and follow them carefully. A dog deserves to treated well and with respect. The owner knows best, so I will always follow your guidance.

Area Iv dog parents share their Rover experiences
Samantha has been taking my dog Ladybug for weekly walks. She’s great with communication and always gives useful updates on how Ladybug is doing!

Jackie was excellent walking our dog Jax, very responsive and professional, and sent plenty of pictures and updates’

Bridget was so lovely! She met my dog and I before she walked him and she was super nice and communicative! She sent great updates and pictures from her walking Henry. Will definitely book with her again!

Lynne is great!! We’ve used her over the years to walk, check-in, and sit our dog overnight. She’s always very responsive and communicative, providing updates and photos. She’s reliable and truly loves our sweet boy. Tex is 14 years old with health issues and she is able to give him meds and extra care for his needs. Thank you, Lynne!

Kyra was prompt, gave our pup a nice walk, and shared a nice recap. The dog was very happy. Would gladly hire Kyra again!

Hailey was phenomenal with our little (actually very large) bundle of joy and was an absolute pleasure to work with. Anakin loved having her on walks and would consistently look for her whenever it was time for his daily walk. I would recommend her to ANYONE looking for a reliable + caring + capable watcher/walker for their doggo (especially for large breeds like our labor-dane Anakin)!

Elizabeth was great! She was able to walk our puppy with less than 24 hours notice. I had a narrow window of time to give her the lowdown of what she needed to know, and she was a trooper in taking it all in and executing what we asked for our Maple’s walk on a hot day.

Julia is amazing! She’s so great to communicate with, sends the cutest pics, and very dependable. Highly recommend!

Mishkat was very attentive to Callie’s needs and clearly enjoys spending time and having fun with her animal clients!

Juliana was punctual, communicative and reliable and did a great job walking our dog safely. We will definitely hire her again. Thank you!

It was an absolute pleasure working with Zahna. She took the time to get to know our French bulldog and his specific needs before their first walk, asking thoughtful questions that showed genuine care. Her medical background gave us extra peace of mind, and her calm, friendly demeanor instantly put both us and our dog at ease. Zahna is clearly a true animal lover, and we felt completely confident leaving our pup in her capable hands.

Aaron has been one of our regular sitters since we adopted our dog in March at 12 weeks old and he has always been communicative, flexible, patient and genuinely seems to enjoy what he does. It has been great to have someone reliable and consistent as our puppy passes the 6 month mark and is getting much bigger. He's turning into such a wonderful dog, in part because of the support of a team of people like Aaron who does what he does. We'd highly recommend him to others.

Snghyun is great with our dog and our cat, she is flexible and her communication is perfect. 100% recommended!

Jordan has been amazing with Maple since day one. Maple absolutely adores her, which made it an easy decision to have Jordan start walking her too. She’s always communicative, reliable, and goes above and beyond with any little requests we’ve had. We truly appreciate the care and attention she gives to Maple!
