“Michaela took such great care of Koda. She was especially attentive to him during the heat and always made sure he had fresh water and I felt so secure knowing she was with him. I can’t thank her enough - she’s amazing !”

“I had a great experience with Hannah as a dog walker! She communicated promptly to coordinate everything and took my puppy Luna's schedule into consideration, which I really appreciated. She arrived right on time, took Luna on a nice walk, and sent lots of pictures throughout. Luna looked so happy and comfortable in every photo. It was clear she was in great hands, and I’d happily book with Hannah again!”

“Rachel was a huge help when I was out of town for the weekend, walking and feeding my girl who has some behavioral issues. She was communicative, kind, and most of all - great with my pup! Thanks for everything and will definitely book again!”

“Michelle responded quickly and took amazing care of Nika. She was very familiar with the neighborhood and confident in her care of dogs. I would absolutely ask Michelle to take care of Nika again.”

“Nicole took the time to really gauge what Cocoa wanted each day. Some days all she wants is to play or get belly rubs and others she wants a long walk around the neighborhood. She always sent a report on how Cocoa was and what they did and included great pictures of her playing or getting pets. I couldn't recommend Nicole enough!”

“So wonderful working with Stephanie! She’s so sweet to my dog and very communicative on the app. Nothing I would change I feel very lucky my dog gets to hang out with her 🙂”

About: I've always grown up with a dog (Maltese, golden doodles of varying size and temperaments). I recently moved to Boston and am missing my dogs from home greatly!! Looking for some doggy exposure and hoping you'll let me take care of your dog! I've dog-sat for many dogs over the years, small and large. I've also cared for dogs that need medication on strict schedules and dogs undergoing medical treatments or with medical conditions. I live near many great dog walking spots (and shaded!! It's hot out there this summer) - like Commonwealth and the Esplanade. I work in office Monday-Thursday, a 10min walk from my apartment. I come back to my apartment most days for lunch (at which time I could let a dog out to go potty). I am work from home every Friday with a lot of flexibility to take breaks to go for walks or go potty. I have a lot of availability and flexibility on weekends to watch a dog, and can also plan my weekend around watching a dog. I am open to boarding dogs in my own home as well as making drop-in visits to others home to feed/walk dogs. I am able to spend a lot of time with your dog when not at work. I have two roommates (female - though they will not be assisting in caring for your dog) who also love dogs and would be happy to have one around the apartment while I am dog sitting! We do not have any other pets in the apartment. I live in an apartment on the 4th floor (no elevator, stairs only - for older dogs or dogs with limited mobility) with very quick access to commonwealth and the esplanade for walks!
“Alyssa was fantastic!! Took the time to meet my pup & go over instructions. She did great my dog & I always came home to a very happy & tired dog. Would definitely recommend booking with her”

“Muller can be a little apprehensive about strangers and Alice was able to settle him down and get him on a walk. She is great, and we will definitely schedule walks in the future!”

About: Having lived in Boston for the past 8 years, I know great walking routes in Back Bay, Beacon Hill, South End, Cambridge, and nearby green spaces. I’ve been caring for friends’ dogs for years and have experience with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and energy levels. I’m comfortable handling everything from energetic puppies who need patience and consistency to older dogs who prefer slower, gentler walks. What sets me apart is that I truly enjoy spending time with dogs and making sure each walk is tailored to their personality and needs. Whether your dog loves playtime, long walks, or a calm routine, I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for every time we’re together. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine, and I have a flexible schedule that allows me to be dependable and consistent for walks and drop-ins. I enjoy being active and outside every day, so having your dog join me would be a pleasure! I’m available for weekday walks, evening visits, and many weekends. I’m happy to work with owners to create a schedule that best fits their dog’s needs. Your dog’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I take time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, triggers, and any special instructions before we begin. During walks, I stay alert, use secure leash handling, avoid unsafe or overcrowded areas, and choose routes that match your dog’s energy level and comfort. In your home, I’ll respect your space, follow feeding or care instructions carefully, and make sure your pet feels calm and secure while you’re away. I’ll make sure to provide updates and photos so you always know how your dog is doing!

“Amanda was awesome. Responsive, helpful, and thoughtful. There were a few very hot days for a dog walk and she did a great job making sure Remy stayed cool and got her walk in! Five stars, no doubt.”

About: I am a lifelong dog lover and have cared for my own dogs (Clover, a wonderful Australian Shepherd and Border Collie mix [RIP] and Sophie, an Australian Cattle Dog who sadly still lives with my parents in Chicago) as well as my family's and neighbors' dogs on and off for the last fifteen years. I have worked in caring for and washing dogs, and I have been trained in dog care at the Animal Care League in Oak Park, Illinois. I am a graduate student at Simmons University and, since I live in a no-pets building, am eager to get out there and meet some new dogs and help you to take care of them and love them so that they continue to thrive. I am a grad student and currently on break until Labor Day; I am also currently job searching and therefore always available (save for planned vacations)! I do not currently live with a pet, but in the past I have taken care of family dogs by walking them once or twice a day as directed/decided upon by my family, or more if I was the only one taking care of them, as well as feeding and playing with them. At the moment I occasionally dog-sit for my aunt and uncle in Bedford, usually over weekends, and I do much the same for their dog. When I visit my family, I take care of our dog by walking, feeding, and playing with her, and generally giving her lots of attention and love. When caring for pets in clients' homes, I follow the rules they have set out for me, and make sure to give the pets much attention.
About: Like most reasonable people, I’ve loved animals my whole life. I spent many Saturdays as a young adult just hanging out and volunteering at the animal shelter because it made me so happy. I think what sets me apart from other sitters is that I’m very patient, self-aware, and I’m not easily grossed out. I’ve sat still for hours waiting for an animal to trust me enough to approach me. I make sure to read their bodies before extending my hand, and I am conscientious of making noise because I want them to be comfortable. I don’t have a weak stomach when it comes to shedding, drool, or accidents. I am a substitute teacher for elementary schools in the area and I work when I can, but there are many days when there are no listings available, or that I’m working partial days. I’m generally pretty free. I will follow the direction and guidelines of the pet owner to keep the animal safe. I am a cautious person and would not let somebody else’s pet outside without a harness or secure fence unless otherwise directed.
“I can’t say enough good things about Dejah. She is responsible and communicative, very reliable, and always patient with my dog. An amazing dog walker and a great person for your animal!”

About: I have had my own dog since I was born, and through this I fell in love with pets. I then started the care end of it on a smaller scale and then improved once I got more clients. I would go to client's house while they were on vacation to take care of their pets, i.e. walking, feeding, bathroom breaks, and entertainment. I would also walk dogs that needed a break in the day while their parents were away at work. I even started my own dog walking business junior year, but I have a small community so it didn't take off. I got a few replies from this, and did the best of my ability to get there in a timely manner. I hope to end up doing it on a bigger scale this summer and gain even more experience with dogs. I am available all day to check in on your pets as frequently as you would like. I just finished a grad school program and am currently looking at applying to others so I wanted the time in between to be filled with work that I really enjoy. I have a great respect for people’s home and personal items. I understand it can be difficult to let a stranger into your home to care for your animal who often means the world to you however I will work hard to make you and your furry friend comfortable!
About: Nursing student, my apartment doesn’t allow dogs so just missing mine and looking to love yours! I got my dog 5 years ago, so have worked with a new puppy ; it was difficult to break some of her habits like leash pulling and jumping on guests but we finally did! She had a lot of anxiety as a small under 10ib dog so I’m used to using a gentle hand and encouragement. I’m currently an accelerated nursing student so my schedule is pretty flexible :) looking for a break from studying , I am in clinical this semester on Tuesday and Thursday mornings , free Monday and Wednesday after 5:30 , open on most fri-sundays Unfortunately, I can not babysit any dogs (my own dog isn’t allowed in my building ) however since she is at my parents house for the time being and have extra time to spend with your pet!
“Zoe was awesome. One of my pups can be anxious. She was patient and supportive and even gave them an extra long walk! Thanks Zoe-hope you’ll do it again!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Mit
Alissa is an amazing dog walker. We deeply appreciate how reliable and consistent she is, and how well she manages our dog with reactivity. She always comes on time and has been mindful of the summer heat when going on walks. Alissa has been an absolute asset to our family and we are wicked lucky to have her!!

Mirabel was so awesome! She helped me out last minute by walking Theo and even though he gave her lots of trouble by hiding from her at first, she was so patient with him and still took him on a long walk. She provided a thorough note and lots of photos which I greatly appreciated. 10/10 would recommend!
