About: I’ve been doing drop-in visits for friends and family’s pets since I was 15. Never had a pet myself due to my parents’ allergies, so I love giving extra love and attention to other peoples’ furry friends. When I was a junior in high school I even built a local dog park for my Girl Scout Gold Award project, just to help local dogs have more fun letting out their energy. I’m happy to attend to your animals specific wants, like a snuggly or energetic pet, or one of those pets that has a little hidey hole to check in on. My work schedule is hybrid, so I can easily care for your pet while working. I’m always working from home Mondays and Fridays, and I can take on any other day of the week as well, as long as I have a few days notice. I’m happy to meet with your pet ahead of time to let them get to know me while you’re home. I’m used to building trust slowly over time with animals.

About: I have been the family/neighborhood cat and dog-sitter for years. From small little puppies and cats to Bernese Mountain dogs even larger than me! I am currently working part-time as a teacher so there is flexibility in my schedule to make time for pet visits, walks, or even overnight stays. I take long walks almost daily so having a furry companion with me would make them that much better. I always make sure any doors that need to remain shut are kept closed so no pets make their way into something they shouldn’t. Allergies are always noted in my phone, along with closest animal hospital just in case.

About: Hello! My name is Abigail and I have been taking care of pets for about 8 years. I have rescued two seniors and taken care of multiple dogs between the ages of 1 to 12. I am a go to sitter for my family and neighbors. I have experience taking care of disabled dogs and multiple years of administering medications (pills, liquid medication, ear drops, eye drops). I am a junior at Texas Tech university but Boston is home for every school break. I would love to provide housesitting/walking services in your home to minimize disruption for your pet while you are out of town or out and about. I am very accommodating to their routines. I am up for spending lots of time helping them to burn off energy or sit and be calm while petting them if that is more their speed. About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life, including two Labrador Retrievers named Maverick and Goose, and a Beagle that I cared for over 10 years, so I’m very comfortable with daily routines, exercise, and understanding different personalities. I’ve also done several overnight house-sitting and dog care jobs, working with a wide range of breeds, from small dogs like pugs to larger, high-energy dogs like huskies. I’ve always had a genuine love for animals and caring for them. The first animal I really fell in love with was a manatee when I was about 5 years old living in Florida, and that kind of stuck with me. My time as a kid was spent at the beach boogie boarding out into the ocean hoping a dolphin would find me and become my friend. Growing up, I loved going to the aquarium and the zoo to learn about different animals, and I’ve always been especially drawn to red pandas and stingrays. That curiosity and appreciation carries over into how I care for pets—I really enjoy getting to know each animal’s personality and making sure they feel safe and happy. In addition, I have a lot of hands-on caregiving experience through taking care of my brother who has special needs, as well as working with special needs youth. That’s taught me to be patient, attentive, and very in tune with individual needs, which I bring into how I care for animals as well. Pet care honestly fits into my routine really naturally because it’s something I genuinely enjoy and look forward to. I have a part-time job in the mornings and some evenings, so I have a lot of flexibility during the day to spend quality time with dogs—whether that’s going on long walks, stopping by for visits, or just hanging out and keeping them company. I grew up with dogs and took care of my Beagle for 10 years, so I’m very used to building my day around their needs. It doesn’t feel like a task to me—it’s something I love doing. Being around dogs, getting outside, and making sure they’re happy and cared for is something I naturally make time for every day. I focus on making pets feel comfortable, safe, and at ease by sticking closely to their normal routine. I know how important consistency is, so I follow feeding schedules, walk times, and any specific instructions carefully. When I’m in a client’s home, I’m very respectful of their space and make sure their dog is always supervised and within my sight. I pay attention to their behavior and energy so I can respond to what they need, whether that’s a long walk, playtime, or just relaxing together so they don’t feel alone. If I’m caring for a pet in my own home, I create a calm, safe environment where they get plenty of attention, exercise, and downtime. I really just try to treat every dog like my own and make sure they feel happy and cared for the whole time.

About: I am a high school teacher on summer break with lots of extra time to walk, play with, and take care of your pets! I grew up with three adorably needy golden retrievers who thought they were laps dogs and a delightfully sassy cat, so I am used to taking care of cats and dogs, big and small! I've also lived with cats in adulthood and taken care of them while my roommate was away. I adore animals and have excess amounts of love to give them since I don't yet have another dog of my own! My services: I am here for walks, park visits, and home stays (chock full of lots of pets and general attention) in the Boston-Metro area! My location: Somerville, MA I'm currently on summer break and while I'll be in and out of town for different trips/weddings I have a lot of availability and flexibility to provide walks, extra care, or overnight stays with your pets!
