About: I know first hand how much love there is between a dog and their owner. For that reason, I believe trust, transparency, and fun are the pillars of my dog walking service. When you entrust me to care for your pet, I will make sure they are always safe, hydrated, and having fun! I also always send updates after walks letting clients know how the walk went and that dogs are home safe. As a dog owner, I have had family dogs ranging from a 6 lbs Yorkie to a 65 lbs Lab. Outside of my own pets, I have experience cat- and dog-sitting for friends and family and am excited to be able to take on more dog walking clients. I am comfortable walking dogs of many breeds, sizes and ages. I can't wait to meet your furriest family members! I am a graduate student, so I often have a flexible schedule to work around your needs. I am available for early morning and evening walks every day of the week and midday walks every day Wednesday-Sunday. Safety is my top priority for your pet, your home, and myself. This is why before working with your pet, I will request a meet-up with you to better understand your pet. In this meeting we can discuss if your pet has any aggression or fear around other dogs, escape-artist tendencies, or special needs so that walks can be as safe and secure as possible.

About: I grew up in the middle of nowhere with two adorable cocker spaniels that could drag you down the street if they saw a rabbit and you weren't firm. I love to go for a quick run AND have a little meandering stroll around town. My local friends know exactly who to ask to spend time with their cats and walk their dogs while they're away: they ask me, because I've never met a dog that didn't want to be my bestie or a cat that didn't want to hang out near me. I work on-call and on Saturdays, which means that I can prioritize walks and check-ins during your Monday-Friday 9-to-5, or even your 5-9. In my client's home and on walks I prefer to go by the particular needs of the pet and the instruction of the owner. A dog that needs a slow introduction can have a hand or a hat to sniff and check out, and I ALWAYS let a cat approach me first.

About: Growing up in TX and visiting family in India, I've spent a lot of time with animal friends - dogs, cats, goats, cows, chickens, and sometimes horses and monkeys(!). I've been pet sitting on and off for most of my life. I'm EMT-certified (for humans) and just love creatures and critters of all shapes and sizes. I work part-time and live in Somerville (seasonal assistant coach for the Harvard Women’s Varsity Volleyball team until early December playoffs) and we usually have practices from 4-6pm and run film a few times a week during the day. Some weekends we’re traveling for away games. I’m happy to work out best times to drop by! My sublease doesn’t allow pets, and I don’t love staying in someone’s home overnight when they’re not there for liability and safety reasons, but if you’re in dire straits we can definitely talk about it! I love going on walks and have a ton of energy, so I often feel like the doggos are taking me for a walk. Ha! We can talk about how much exercise they need, and where you prefer I walk them!!

We could tell from her photos that he was happy and in great care. Since he doesn't like long walks, Diane also spent some quality time playing with him and his two cat brothers. About: I have had dogs and cats my entire life, and have walked neighbors' dogs and watched their hamsters, Guinea pigs, and cats since I was 9! I have experience with every type of pet, from puppies to senior cats, and would love to show your animal some love :) I have had the privilege of volunteering with Broken Tail Rescue weekly for over a year, so I am very well-versed in caring for all kinds of cats and dogs. I am a grad student at Harvard University and have a very flexible schedule. I can be available at most reasonable times, just reach out! I will feed, walk, and play with your pets and do other things such as change litter or give meds as needed. I do all of these things with my animals at home!

About: I have tried to live life around as many animals as possible. Grew up with dogs and cats and now am a proud cat dad. I pride myself on being punctual, responsible, and caring. I have taken care of dogs for family and friends for years. Being a Rover customer has encouraged me to be the best possible sitter, walker, visitor that I could be. I respect people's boundaries and animal's boundaries as well. I would prefer to meet you and your pet before we confirm sitting or visits just to make sure everyone is comfortable(especially your pets!). I am currently working part time and have lots of available time to walk, sit, and visit your cats or dogs. I can do multiple visits per days in Somerville if need be. I would prefer to take time to meet you and your pets before booking. I fully understand the concerns of having people in your home and treat spaces like I would want my home treated. I'm happy to clean litter boxes per directions and would always put things (food, leashes, toys, etc..) back in their place as directed. if you were to be out of town and asked me to retrieve mail, monitor lights and other utilities I would do that to the best of my abilities as well. As someone who has had Rover sitters come visit my cat Pepper I appreciate that extra effort that many of them have put forth. I would also be happy to communicate all visits through the app or phones with pictures and quick updates.
