About: I worked at a humane society and worked with many dogs of all sizes and breeds. Helped to socialize them; took them for walks/hikes, went for car rides, got them comfortable being outdoors. I also dog sat for friends and family throughout the years. Very comfortable with giving medications and taking care of special needs dogs (grew up with a dog that required seizure medication and had frequent seizures). As a college student I have a fairly flexible schedule. My weekends are completely free and I have more than a couple hours free during the weekday in the mornings and evenings (as well as some time during the middle of the day if I’m not in class). I grew up in a home where dogs were family members. We were very comfortable with them being indoor and outdoor pets. We would go for hikes, walks/runs (was fairly active to help the dogs release their energy) and would also relax together indoors. Will crate as needed for dog and family comfort or will just hang out on a sofa and read a book for company for the pet. Since I’m used to caring for a high maintenance dog that required special attention, I can clean up accidents and administer medications if needed (with lots of approved treats)

About: While I’m new to Rover, I’m not new to caring for pets. I’ve had two cats for the past 4 years and have pet sat for friends and family when they’ve needed help. I use Rover myself so I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet and entering your home. Whether it’s a walk, playtime, or just keeping them company, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable until you’re back. About: I've been a pet sitter for family, friends, and neighbors for many years. As someone who grew up with dogs and currently has several cats, I am skilled in caring for a range of dog sizes and animals with various personalities and needs. I work from home, which allows me lots of time to devote to animal care. I take daily evening walks and would love to take your pet with me. I provide house-sitting and during the day animal care, and I love spending time with animals in fenced-in yards and/or going on plenty of walks—whatever your pet prefers! I work from home, so am able to provide midday walks and constant company.

My experience: Worked as a pet sitter for the dogs, cats, and small animals like guinea pigs and hamsters of family friends for about 3 years; Volunteered as a caretaker for birds at the Minnesota Wildlife Rehabilitation Center for 1 year; Acted as a foster family for a dalmation/whippet mix for 2 months; Have been a dog-walker and pet-sitter with Rover since 2020. I’m happy to schedule visits and walks on certain weekdays and any weekend. I’m able to work remotely, but will need to plan around, which is why I request at least 3 days notice for any booking or change of plans. I am a big fan or midday and evening walks, and would be happy to have an animal companion with me for them! My approach is to create a stable routine and clear boundaries for any pets in my care. I am adaptable for what the space demands and based on the animal’s familiarity with a situation, for example being in a new space versus being in their primary home. I am cautious and considerate about the disposition of the pet I’m in charge of, so I will always try to avoid putting them in a situation they are not comfortable with or that has too many variables for me to respond to safely.
