She is very detail oriented and made sure she had all the information she needed for the sit. Most importantly, Amanda was amazing with my animals! They both absolutely loved her ( and my cat is very particular about people)! She took time to learn their personalities and spent time with each accordingly. I have never come back to such relaxed, happy animals after a sit! I can’t recommend Amanda highly enough!”

About: I worked at a humane society and worked with many dogs of all sizes and breeds. Helped to socialize them; took them for walks/hikes, went for car rides, got them comfortable being outdoors. I also dog sat for friends and family throughout the years. Very comfortable with giving medications and taking care of special needs dogs (grew up with a dog that required seizure medication and had frequent seizures). As a college student I have a fairly flexible schedule. My weekends are completely free and I have more than a couple hours free during the weekday in the mornings and evenings (as well as some time during the middle of the day if I’m not in class). I grew up in a home where dogs were family members. We were very comfortable with them being indoor and outdoor pets. We would go for hikes, walks/runs (was fairly active to help the dogs release their energy) and would also relax together indoors. Will crate as needed for dog and family comfort or will just hang out on a sofa and read a book for company for the pet. Since I’m used to caring for a high maintenance dog that required special attention, I can clean up accidents and administer medications if needed (with lots of approved treats)

About: I grew up with dogs but fell in love with cats when I started cat-sitting in my 20s! I love all animals and can’t think of a better way to settle into a new city than meeting and taking care of my animal neighbors. I’m working part-time, so will have plenty of time to spend with your pets. I’m available most days to care for and spend time with them. Depending on what’s needed, I like to spend my initial moments with a pet playing with them, enjoying a period of reconnection before they need to be fed or go for a walk. I make sure that areas are clean, there is water, and that the environment is safe and well cared for.

About: I've loved dogs all my life. I had a dog since I was 12, and as an adult I've done both periodic walks and drop-ins, as well as overnight stays. I know that every pet has their own temperament and needs, and I will be sure to adjust to ensure you and your fur-babies have a safe, happy experience with me. I have a lot of flexibility to be able to schedule whatever pet care you may need! With the exception of special events, I can generally move things around on my end to accomodate your schedule. I have done check-ins and walks throughout the day, as well as staying at a client's home for multiple nights to take care of their pets.
